No no no! We don't need to outlaw ALL trucks, just those with extended cabs. If that truck didn't have an extended cab less people would have been able to fit in it, and we could have reduced the amount dead!!!

You know whats already banned? Bringing guns into a theatre (no gun zone). What makes you think that making the entire USA a no-gun zone would stop criminals? I love your logic too, buddy.

That's why we are required to buy liability insurance.

Because of the probability and possibility of great bodily harm and physical danger to multiple innocent people, through no fault of their own and simply due to the actions of one. It shouldn't be possible and the event of it happening needs to be decreased and that's why people (everyone) driving has to pay for that insurance.

ban radios from being in auto's wile your at it. Also trash all cell phones they are a hazard they cause auto crashes and even just walking accident's as well. My daughter has a reaction to pineapple make stores quit selling pineapple there are known cases that some reactions can cause death, my wife is allergic to bees as well if she gets stung and i have one buddy like this too that if they dont get that shot with in 3-5 min they will die, people die from bee stings every year start spying a chemical to kill off all bees wile your at it...... heck for that matter ban my wife from my wallet or better yet ban marriage you know how many people die from stress levels from being married.. or should we just ban women? don't think im a sexist im not. Ban pickup trucks really? do people even think. they need to add a IQ test to get a driver license anymore. Lots of jack ars out on the road. But to even suggest banning of a pick up truck for something like this? its almost as dumb as the driver that had that many people in the back. i know for my state. you can have people ride in the back as long as they are 18+. And is sitting down on the floor. I think u would have lots of trouble sitting that many people in the back of the truck legal anyway. i "think" my state you need a special permit to have 7 or 9 people in a auto at once and once you get up to that many they require seatbelts. but it does not matter at this point in my eyes this guy was braking the law so why would banning a pickup truck stop him? 0h no now he is putting 5 people on a motorcycle being a dumb ars. so now lets ban bikes as well... think man think....... its people that are not thinking thats doing stuff like that on the road

lol I was thinking the same thing when i herd this on TV. I am amazed at how many people in this thread think this is a serious thread though it is very sad yet entertaining. Antis never make any sense though so this doesn't surprise me. If thay want to ban machines that kill people why not ban trucks

ban the pick up truck? yeah im all for it let's punish the majority of people with the common sense not to fill their truck with people, it would set a precedent around the world if the USA bans the pick up countries in South America and Africa and the Middle East would follow suit.
let's not stop at the pick up let's ban the sports car, them things are a speeding danger. I don't see point of building a car that can go 130-200MPH when the normal speed limit on streets is 25-35mph and 65-80mph on the high way.

if the pick up is banned guess you'd have to get a work van, but then again isn't it more common for those to be over filled with bodies as well and just as dangerous as an overfilled pick up, so you have to ban the van as well.

so that's 3 different types of vehicles i'd like banned in this country.

I see your point, what ever is the most shocking gets the airtime. As once said by a politician somewhere "Never waste a good tragic event". They'll use it for some type of gun legislation. Or maybe theatre crackdown with metal detectors and armed guards, perhaps even TSA at theatres who knows.

An Ar-15 is a gun, a rifle to be exact. like ALL OTHER GUNS it shoots a projectile made of lead or steel by the use of a powder charge. It is no different than any other gun. Guns come in all shapes and sizes calibers, like trucks & people. They all do the same thing, whether it's an AR-15 or AK, or Mosen Nagant.

A gun can't shoot itself. A truck can't drive itself. Has the point been made there? A person is at fault for both events. A person. A person used guns and took alot of lives, a sense less cowardley act. A person used a truck and killed 23. It's obvious people are the problem, we should ban them too.

I own a truck Ford f150, and several guns, AR-15 included. The day my truck drives off with my guns and goes and does some sense less act all by themselves, is the day I get me a stick & a bicycle, it'll be the day I throw in the towel on the gun debate. If there's a miss-spelled word or two in this post, it was me not my laptop.
