Is a truck's main purpose to kill people? Or is it transportation? What are trucks made for?

Can you tell me what an AR-15 is made for? and it's purpose?

Logic is lost on those that are in love with instruments of death.

I find a scoped M-1 Garand to be far superior to an AR-15 at eradicating hogs.... I've seen hogs that had been hit by10 rounds of .223 ammo from a full auto M-16 and not go down... The last one I killed was taken down by 1 round from a John D. Englis Browning Hi Power... Hogs are a PITA around here.

I generally use the Marlin 336C 30-30 Win for all hunting. I like the "cowboy" feel of it, and the ability to take down anything in the brush if i am under 200 yards.

Is it time to ban pickup trucks??

Do you know what is already banned....loading 23 people into a pick up truck.

I love how illogical gun lovers are...which explains why they love guns.

Hi, good post but I wanted to point out that the operator of the vehicle is also among the dead, which might be a good thing since our government does not like to prosecute illegal aliens. God works in mysterious ways.

It might be time for people to follow the law and not overload their vehicles.

Yes, I do know that. Did you read my thread? I already posted seatbelt and truck bed laws in Texas.

It is also illegal to open fire on innocent people. So your argument starts and ends right there.

Yes, but people who come here illegally are already breaking the law. What is going to stop them from breaking other laws?

An AR-15 is made to shoot bullets. What is your point? Neither trucks nor AR-15's will kill anyone without manipulation from human beings.

Ban pick up trucks? Not a very well thought out idea. Some idiot has a wreck so now let's screw over all farmers and construction workers that need them for their lively hood.

There was a train wreck that killed a lot of people time to get rid of trains huh? How about that highway that collapsed and killed all those people in the earthquake in Ca. time to get rid of highways huh?

See how stupid it sounds.

Have you ever tried to haul 10 bales of hay in a prius?

People like you would ban hammers because they hit their thumb.

They won't be banned. I just bought one because I need one for my job. I do construction, and there is no way I can fit all my scaffolds and tools in any trunk. They won't be banned because of an accident. Especially because some dumbass loaded people in the bed and wrecked.

As you have come to the conclusion, banning pick-ups is not the solution here.

Now,I have a feeling that the sheriff has seen a few overloaded vehicles in his day with alleged illegals.
And he probably did nothing to stop it.
I have and I live in Kentucky, you know, where hillbillies ride in the back of they're trucks,as one person stated from UK.

The fault lies in the driver and all those other people riding in the truck,no one else.

Its made to shoot a bullet at anything you want it to... sometimes those are targets...sometimes its at your dinner, sometimes its at clay pigeons, sometimes cans, sometimes bottles, sometimes they get shot at assholes trying to rape your wife, sometimes they kill Hitler, sometimes they keep kings and kings in the lands of fairy tales and out of reality...

a gun is made to shoot a projectile...its purpose is about as vague as a kitchen knife...or a pocket knife...or brass knuckles, or a Molotov cocktail...or a potato gun, or a ....uhh...im sure you still don't get the point so i'll stop here.

I'm amazed at people's inability to see obvious sarcasm as an analogy for the same logic that bans guns...Maybe because the world is so wonky that someone trying to ban pickup trucks is a real possibility... that's actually pretty scary...

good post

LOL do you use a kitchen knife? or because of your profound logic do you refuse to do so because it can potentially kill someone? Because the same logic you are holding up as some how superior would lead to someone refusing to utilize anything that can be a "instrument of death"...including kitchen knives...and yes even trucks.

I know in my state, it's illegal to transport people in the back bed of a pick-up truck, but people still do it.

He is not a sheriff. He is a State Trooper. No election required but they still have to be politically correct as we all do here.

Trucks are made for transportation but can be used to kill people
Guns are made for defense! But can be used for offense and violent crimes
Govt. was made to represent the people, but it can be used to oppress the people

Who cares why something was made?
