As I was saying earlier the stage is being set…the target is Iran. By whom….U.S & Israel. Iran will be marked as the perpetrators of some horrific event so the "good guys" can then seek revenge for the carnage caused. I believe Syria is another move on the U.S/Israel end to protect themselves from a counter attack by Iran. Their getting ready to stir up the bee hive very soon.

Not really a big fan of the olympics myself, I see sports as childrens games, and not very important at all in the grand scheme of things. Throw in the nationalism, makes it even worse. Not that I wish harm upon athletes or spectators mind you, I just think we have a lot of growing up to do, when sporting events like this cost billions, yet there are starving people around the world. And even in the countries that host the olympics, highest bidder wins.

Everything now days is creating a narrative, hell Im in sales, and if your a good salesmen you know how to weave a narrative to a prospective customer to help them buy what your selling...

And thats whats happening, they are creating this narrative for us to swallow right before our eyes.

To the extent there is something wrong with the games you certainly hit what it is. If the commercialism were removed or at least cut back to a decent level, the games represent the only event that nations have maintained in common through good and bad for a very long time. It's not any one event, to my thinking, it's the history and what it represents for unity above whatever else is happening in the world (with a few exceptions...) that make it special.

Honestly, I've only caught the opening and closing ceremonies since I saw some of the Olympics as a kid in 1984. Sports has never been my thing...but the symbolism matters when almost everything else has been tossed to the side.

Israel is ITCHING for war. No Iran means Israels total domination of the region and they will use coalition forces to get the job done.

What better way to do it? Nearly every nationality will be there, everyone will have a reason to go after Iran.
They couldn't pull off an attack in Beijing, but with M.I.6, the C.I.A and the Mossads close connections, it would be a walk in the park to get it done in London.

It literally is a perfect scenario if they wanted to pull off an attack and blame it on Iran.

But of course, this is just my opinion.

The scary thing is they (Israel & U.S) have absolutely no idea who they're messing with. Iran has some big @#! bullies on his side. The thought of this unraveling is terrifying to say the very least. I really hope my assumptions are wrong.

Its gotta be concerning for Russia and china the foothold we have gotten in their back yard...

All those bases we have set up and assets in the area...

Almost like we are trying to start something...

People forget the Cuban missile crisis started with US moving equipment that made Russia nervous.

It always turns to nationalism. Remember when big bad russia was winning? Hell, there was a whole movie made about it, remember Rocky? Ivan Drago I think his name was, Dolph something or other. That movie highlighted a lot of what was wrong with the whole cold war era, but ended with a feelgood ending. Blah, maybe I am rambling lol.

Am i the only one who thinks if there is going to be an attack it won't be at the olympics.
Just imagine intel agency's around the world right now are mainly focusing on london.
There is other stuff going on in the world. Like the arms treaty discussion at the UN on the 27th.

Almost like a parallel universe where we've become what we once fought and come to embrace the type of security that we once would have rioted over. Black is white and up is down.

Look at it this way though and on this I am completely serious. Now that we seem to be close to whatever it is this is all building to and avoiding the end result seems less and less likely...there is a bright side. I'm always finding that bright side.

The sooner everyone gets to having their fight or whatever this is all leading to, the sooner we get through it and can begin making a future on the other side of this ego contest that I feel like the world has been locked in now for nearly 100 years. I don't think anything progresses at this point until this gets done. Even economics has been stalling...

Just come AFTER the Olympics, not using it. That's all I ask.

Very true. It could happen anywhere at anytime but the purp's will most likely want a big audience to witness the tragedy and what better place then an international event like the Olympics?? Everything's played out in the media these days. To justify a counter attack they will need to make an impact greater then ever before because society as a whole is so desensitized to violence. We see it everyday, it's all around us no matter where we live. So in order for it to not become "yesterday's news" they need to really make an impression. Again I hope I'm wrong but these thoughts of mine are coming very easily to mind and I really don't mind saying them because I feel there's some truth to them.

ISRAELI ATHELETES SHOULD JUST STAY HOME!!!

Why battle it out for Gold, Silver or Bronze when there is a high possibility of just receiving "Lead"

yeah but as with anything
as the prey develops better mechanisms of avoiding or fending of predators the predator develops better mechanisms of ensnaring their prey

there will always be predators (and thats a good thing in a way because necessity drive development)
and as people catch on to techniques that are being used to manipulate them new techniques are implemented

so when the dust settles you may see a placid surface but underneath will be a roiling power struggle by more skilled and savvy criminals

when things seem to get better its usually because youre not paying close enough attention (though i agree as a long term trend things do seem to actually get better)
and its that comfortable complacency that always gets us all

I feel like people have hyped these attacks up so much that some are actually going to be upset when nothing happens.

It reminds me of Harvey dents quote from the dark knight.

Either you die a hero, or you see yourself become the villain.

Sadly, I have to agree with you.... Some of the rabidity on here is disturbing at time's...

I often wonder why people get worked up about fictionalising things or speculating on the what-if's when we have real, tangible injustice all around. I mean: "The Sunday Times reports further that "panic rooms have been installed beneath the stadium as a haven for VIPs and spectators in the event of an attack."
Wtf? Who are the VIP's? What makes them so special? And "spectators" eh? Wonder if there's enough room in these panic rooms for the cheap seats? I think they'd have to be 'panic warehouses' to accomdoate all those... See, it's that kind of thing that we should be getting worked up about... That we're placing a greater value on one human life than another purely because of the amount of cash a person has.... Jeez... There's enough problems in the world without inventing stuff to get upset about.....

There is no bright spot on the other side.
The only thing a war will bring is hate and more dead landless peasants.
In all of this no senators son will die and bankers will make trillions.
I do not see that as a bright spot unless we actually strike at the heart of what really makes our problems.
Don't rush to the other side, as it will just be more of what you have now.
The only difference is you will have lost some friends and allies.
