Anything can be funny sir, you just have to see it in the right light and context. Yes, you can joke about anything.

Honestly you should realize that not everyone views death the same as you or others, and apparently to the guy holding the shotgun in the movie theater he doesn't view it the same either.

What you value and hold dear is different than what others hold dear....different strokes for different folks. At least Im not being vulgar, I have quite a few good zingers off of this one already.

All you people need to really pay attention to is yourself and be aware when in public, because anything can happen.

BTW those who feel the need to joke about this...it is confermed that several children have been injured. T

They were saying a baby had been hit too, not sure if thats the pregnant woman or a seperate baby.

If they have the gunman at gunpoint, they should just save your taxpayers a few quid and have a negligent discharge.

CX.

I actually kind of second this! However, they probably don't know who they actually had at gunpoint...not nice to just accidentally discharging...

Dang.... in a week I'll be flying outta state to Boston ... and also DC. (very high security airports)

I really do not want to go through those nude body scanners! (What happens if you refuse?? Anyone here know from personal experience? You can PM me, if you would. I'm really concerned about those scanners.)

PS: TO YOU "PEOPLE" MAKING JOKES: CHILDREN HAVE BEEN INJURED AND KILLED. HOW CAN YOU LAUGH ABOUT THAT? WHAT IF IT WERE YOUR OWN KIDS, SIBLINGS, OR KIN? BET YOU WOULDN'T BE LAUGHING ABOUT THAT WOULD YOU?

Confirmed: 14 killed
Suspect IN CUSTODY!

I just think the Networks, in the US, are preoccupied with BS, like slinging Politics, and such 24/7. Sad that breaking news like this, has to be had from foreign networks. I still cant believe some A-Hole(s) decides to shoot innocent people, including children, at a movie theater.

Just pathetic, and sick.

While that is a nice thought, I'd rather get the full story from the "suspect".
And if he did do this, I'd either pursue the death penalty and if not possible, release him into the prison general population.

I wasn't joking about dead kids, or dead people...I was joking about the movie being so bad that it would drive someone to do this, don't you guys understand what a punchline is?

Yea i know what you mean, i was saying it kind of half heartedly.....then again by the description of the gunmans clothing, it shouldn't be too hard to get it right.

That said, they did say that a few people would have turned up to the movie in costume, so this guy wouldn't have looked too out of place.

Standard America. No debate on gun control though, god forbid that. There are only thousands of mentalists carrying around loaded killing machines, it's fine.

Sorry man, but when tragedy strikes, Humor isn't immediately warranted, or wanted.
You might want to make light of it, but I can guarantee the majority here, doesn't want to hear it. If you are aware that ANYTHING can happen, just think if this was your family, your loved ones. Would you want someone to crack a joke, as you find out your loved one might have died?

Mods, please move this thread if it doesn't belong here.

I've written to the mods and asked if they can move your thread to the appropriate forum. I've also asked if they'll consider closing other threads as yours was first and in a story like this it's best to have everything in one place.

Back OT:
From the reports coming in this seems to have been a well-coordinated attack with multiple shooters, who reportedly used tear gas before opening fire. This strongly suggests the shooters have an understanding of certain military tactics. I'd be very appreciative if any members with military experience could offer their take on it -- especially Marines and those who served in other units where they would have been trained in how best to make surprise attacks.

Many thanks,

Mike

This reminds me of the movie Rampage. There was no need to go into a theater movie and shoot at innocent people without even asking for demands. What the heck is the motive behind the suspect? What set him off to go into a movie theater and shoot kids and people? Disgruntled employee? Diversion of a different robbery? Total lunacy this world has become.

Must admit, we have our fair share of idiots going on killing spree, they either get them illegally anyway or already are registered like that guy who shot that policeman the other week.
