Like one poster said, it could be a diversion for a diamond heist. This is a little messed up. RIP to those that didn't make it and hope the victims can go with their lives. Colorado seems to be getting the worst this year with fires, losing their homes, and now this. Just insane.

The RT link ive posted before in this thread has been updated....

'

At least 12 moviegoers were reportedly killed and 20 injured at a cinema in the Colorado city of Aurora in the Denver suburbs. They were attending a midnight showing of the new Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises.

The theater was packed with a lot of people, many of them young fans, at the time the shooting started, 9news reports. The violence erupted some 15 minutes after the movie started, witnesses said.

Witnesses said the gunmen were probably wearing body armor and gas masks and used some kind of a tear gas bomb in the attack

Police have cleared people from the scene over fears that another explosive device might be on the premises.

Aurora medical services were alerted to attend to the large number of injured

9NEWS is saying 39 wounded (im watching it live)

Too bad, I guess none in the crowd had a means of defending themselves.
I wonder how the ccw laws are in this particular county.

Let it be shown that the first attempt to politicise this was indeed, as usual, done by a gun nut.

Can't even let the bodies get cold before you start trying to agitate for MORE guns... I'm sure the families of the dead and injured are thankful that you've decided to use their tragedy to push your ideology.

Believe me, the anti-gun-nuts will be exploiting the victims just as much to push their ideology as well.

So true, i just heard them speaking to one of the witnesses on the 9 news live feed and he claims that some people are saying that this is a potential terrorist attack.

More importantly...

My heartfelt sympathies to all of those involved

When they do, feel free to criticise them... so far, the only politics being played are from a gun nut.

The men were said to have been wearing gas masks, possibly looking like the character of Bane, played by Tom Hardy in the film. Stuart added that police were searching for a possible second explosive in the cinema's car park. One suspect is reportedly in police custody.

12 people killed at 'Dark Knight Rises' premiere in Colorado, say reports

If this was a viral marketing campaign, I can't say I agree with it.

Seriously, NOTHING you say is funny.

People are dead, and you continue to make light of the severity of this.

Just dont even reply back to me.

I simply have made an observation.
Let it be known the anti gun lobby was the first to throw a name.
Armed citizens have stopped crimes before.
Disarmed citizens just lay there and bleed.

ha!

Sorry, but once you chose to use this tragedy to push your agenda you crossed a line of decency and you should be called out.

Define decency?....thats ok, I'll wait....and after you pull a dictionary definition you can tell me in your own words what you feel decency is.....the post your commenting about holds truth. Just because you don't like guns doesn't mean that I can't own them.

Do you think you are ******* funny?

This is pretty damn tragic, and you decide to make a ******* joke?

Wow... some of you people are so detached from reality, and lacking sympathy. I can't believe some of you are already talking about gun laws too. Wow, just wow.

de·cen·cy (dsn-s)
n. pl. de·cen·cies
1. The state or quality of being decent; propriety.
2. Conformity to prevailing standards of propriety or modesty.

Decency is not using someone else's tragedy to push your agenda.

It's gross and pathetic.
