I think that the "humble democrat that never was" or the "eagle" is referring to the United States. In some Mayan belief, the very lands you're naming will all come destroy the United States. Very weird whenever addressed that way. A bit chilling.

Just found this on another thread and the poster let me borrow, he found it in the Bible...the wording blew me away...of course it could be a case of M.N. getting from the bible, who knows?

Back on topic after being bashed all around: I do find it interesting that all of these seems to correlate around the "games of slaughter" but are we completely sure they're referring to the Olympics? It could be something more abstract than what everyone is thinking. Something that you would never make the connection to until it happens and then you slap your forehead going "Oh, duh!"

Games of Slaughter reminds me of the cards in the Illuminati card game.

This Nostradamus prophecy exactly parallels Bible prophecy.

Some think that WWIII will start on the 9th of Av(July 28) in the middle east. Israel fears this because 9th of Av is when other terrible disasters befell them. Coincidentally, it's also when the olympics kick off this year.

Isaiah 17 outlines exactly which countries will be involved. Basically, Damascus is destroyed and Israel is very badly wounded, enough that she turns back to God. Also, Ezekiel 38 details that Russia and Iran will surround Israel after she is badly wounded and this causes Jesus to return in the air to slaughter the armies and feed their carcasses to the birds on the mountains of Israel. So this is where Nostradamus' "slaughter" comes in.

Also this is when the wrath of God begins the 7 yr. tribulation on earth and his vengeance is poured out (Read Isaiah 34:1-8) It talks about dead bodies being strewn about. Also, this is when the dead people who knew Jesus rise out of their graves and the living persons join them to go up in the air to meet Jesus. The greek word is "Harpazo". It means "snatching out of harms way". So this is where Nostradamus "dead rising" comes in.(Isa. 26:19.

I'll quote some of these and maybe they'll tie in:

Isa.26:19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of heaven, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

Isa. 26:20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation(tribulation) be overpast

Isa. 26:21 For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

Some think a worldwide earthquake will occur simultaneously with all these other events, thus the dead being expelled from their graves. (Rev.6:12-17)

So that's a lot of things happening at once on July 28 - Olympic Games, WWIII begins in middle east (Chemical - Syria and Nuclear retaliation - Israel), Jesus returning to Slaughter Russia and Iran, Worldwide earthquake,Rapture, 7 yr. wrath of God beginning.

I know this is a lot of info to process, and I'm not trying to scare anyone. I'm just passing on information that I've come across. None of us can accurately predict the future, but we can at least study the prophecies, note the ones that have indeed come true, judge which predictions have had a good track record and either heed or disregard them.

A more literal translation of the quatrain would be:

At the completion of the great seventh number
He will appear at the time of the Slaughter Games,
Not far from the great millennial age
Those within will emerge from their graves.

Brilliant post. Yes that seems to be the most accurate and literal way of interpreting the quatrain when I think about it. Good points about the number 7 too.

The Slaughter Games may be a reference to Armageddon.

"Him" may be Nostradamus' "third" Antichrist (Mabus).

Good thinking, I didn't even consider that. The quatrain certainly does seem to be referencing some type of Armageddon or Rapture. And it does make a lot of sense to assume it could be referencing the arrival of the 3rd Antichrist. It seems highly probable he is referring to the "Great Tribulation" period which is said to be 7 years in total, before we experience the Rapture or Second Coming during the End Times.

I don't know if anyone has noticed this yet. The first line of the original text, in Old French or whatever it is. The first 2 letters are "Au", if you think about it in modern day context is it meaning "Astronomical Unit". An astronomical unit is the mean distance between the Earth and Sun, so that could reinforce the period of 7 Earth years. 7 revolutions at 1 AU = 7 Earth years.

One could fit the following interpretation, based on my own meager reflection upon this:

The G7 is made up of Canada, France, Germany, U.S., Italy, Japan, and the U.K.
Revolution of these countries or from within? Perhaps an event that causes or deeply affects the "grand 7"?

The Millennium age is referred to as the time following the seven (ahh, a seven) years of horror ravaged upon the earth in other prophecies. Grand is a description since the Millennium age that arrives involves essentially heaven on earth.

The Tribulation? Or something that is thought dead arrives? The return of Christ?

OK, I am not a Christian but if I were, I could make this match my hopes and beliefs. From a secular point of view, one could say that a terrible tragedy will befall any or all of the G7 members at the Olympics which will start a war from which will emerge something thought dead. The Third Reich?

Just playing with this and I will disavow any hope of being accurate or correct. But it is fun to play.

This is an intuitional response.

The G7 is a financial organization. Our world has become a financial phenomenon.

One thing that has always stood out for me, (although I was not brought up with any religion at all), but my selective memory recalled something that has resonated with me during my whole life:

Jesus overturning the tables of the money changers, outside of a sacred place of the worship of Mother Nature.
That's what I see in this man, Jesus, who had a wife/equal partner, Yang and Yin on equal ground.

He could see where this male dominated crap was going and that it was the height of hypocracy and would lead to the destruction of the world.

He did not succeed in nipping this in the bud; and so, the Christian world went out of control,continuing to disrespect his concept of rightness.....and here we are!

The Zionists went out of control in their pursuit of greed, cheating, deceit, scamming and fraudulence against their fellow MEN. Jesus perceived that the usuary system could only 'destroy thy neighbor' and fellow human, and the inequality of male over female could only lead to total dissonance in the human race.

But this system persisted and became the norm, then became 'the Jewish way', to the point that it went completely out of control and greed took over the human race.

The G7 represents that 'system' and is ruled by Satanism. These 7 countries embrace this system.

When I read this quatrain, I immediately thought of the resurrection of the dead. I was taught that the dead were the dead in Christ or those who were not yet written in the book of life, as a couple of posts earlier mentioned. remember Nostradamus was a Catholic.

If you are trying to see if this quatrain could refer to the Olympics, I would suggest that it could, though not necessarily these particular Olympics. I took 'les entrés' to mean those who have entered, or the entombed, or the dead in Christ, not necessarily entered into a physical tomb.

I'm curious as to why this is called century 10 though.

Nostradamus wrote these prophecies in ten centuries, like ten chapters. Each century was to contain 100 quatrains, a quatrain is a kind of poem with four lines. Funny thing is that century 7 (VII), only contains 42 quatrains.

Which brings us back to this great number 7?

Good catch, i hadn't thought of that. A friend was asking the other day why the military had to put the missile launchers on a residential building (causing a massive media fuss and court case), since there are so many high-rise non-residential buildings around London.

Well if these were 'projectors' rather than missile launchers, then i imagine they'd need to be in fairly specific locations in relation to one another in order to create a 3D hologram.

I agree, i said this myself on a previous thread about the troops at the Olympics; If you needed troops at the Olympics and needed to create a plausible reason, then making G4S the fall-guy is really the only option.

This could be because they want troops present to somehow control, or enhance the effects of the bluebeam scam.

But if so, then Why ? Surely if it's all an illusion, then in the wake of it we'll be saying how convenient it was the troops were there, as though TPTB knew something was going to happen. Whatever the troops might add to the illusion by their presence (perhaps they engage/protect the public from the 'invaders'), surely they have already negated by their contrived presence there.

A more likely scenario for such a last minute sleight-of-hand by TPTB is that they have genuine last minute intel on an attack, or have been unable to lock-down the perps of an attack and have decided they need a military presence. They don't want to scare the public away from attending the games, hence the G4S story.

The big question is, in what scenario would a military presence be most useful ???

If it's a bomb(s), they'll likely just lose personnel/assets in the explosion; they'd probably prefer to have personnel close by ready to deal with the aftermath. They already have helicopters on the largest warship in the British Navy, HMS Ocean docked in the Thames for this.

Of course they may hope that military personnel simply have a better chance of preventing explosives from entering the site... Perhaps.

A good reason to have military personnel on-sight is in case of a Mumbia-style attack - machine guns and hostages. Having armed military there already will dramatically help to contain such an attack to a much smaller area involving fewer hostages.

If terrorists are indeed planning anything then i doubt they'll need to smuggle weapons in as they've had several years with dire security to to find good hiding places inside the venues or grounds where the weapons may be waiting for them to collect.

If it's explosives, then for all we know they're in the concrete foundations of the venue with detonators on presumably very long-life batteries, or very precise timers.

Of course i hope to god that this is all fantasy, as a lot of innocent lives are at stake.

For what it's worth I think 'Que les entres' means 'the interred' - a little used word referring to those who have been buried in the ground. It doesn't change the translation but possibly stops any confusion for those looking at it to mean 'between' something or other..... Also the 's' on the end of 'entres ' denotes plural.

My dreams are often ended by a 'message in a number' .

I haven't studied numerology so I have to rely on the interpretation given on various websites, who provide no reason why the numbers mean the message they allegedly do.

For example - I recently awoke to the numbers '5-5-5', which seems to mean that a dramatic life change is coming soon.

A few days ago I awoke to the vision of number 7 squared. (don't know how to type a number two above the line).

I haven't searched for the explanation of that message yet, but since number 7 is cropping up in this thread, I thought I ought to mention it.

If any of you numerology experts can point me to a website that explains numerology in simple terms, I would be grateful.

Well maybe...However, since Hecatomb was a sacrifice to the gods of 100 cattle (hekaton = one hundred). This is where the translation of Slaughter or Games of Slaughter is coming from. What I think most people may be over looking is Heca from Hekaton = one hundred, and tomb = dead. So literal translation would be 100 dead.

Now, since the usuage of the term Hecatomb referred to a sacrifice to the gods of 100 cattle, here's what I'm thinking at the moment.

The name of the Olympic Opening Ceremony show will be ‘Isles of Wonder’ and the worldwide broadcast will commence at 9pm. The Ceremony will kick off with the sound of the largest harmonically tuned bell in Europe, produced by the Whitechapel Foundry, and the Stadium will be transformed into the British countryside for opening scene ‘Green and Pleasant’, which includes real farmyard animals.

Bold and underlining done by me to emphasize what I think part of the prophecy could be referring to. It would be very interesting if they used exactly 100 sheep or cattle or a mixture of farm animals that add up to 100. That would truely be Hecatomb by literal translation.

Is it possible that there will be a false flag event (explosion, fire, etc...) during the opening ceremony that would kill most of these animals as a sacrifice to the gods.... the gods (maybe ancient aliens) that many believe are returning this year 2012?

Another translation of last part of the quatrain is:

"When the buried will go out from their tombs."

Could this mean that an underground race of beings will appear and come out from their dwelling (tomb)?

That fixes the olympic games as the "Games of slaughter" in my mind. Historically accurate and identifiable.

Reading the quatrain i'm tempted to read it bottom to top:
