TPTB are "banking" on the christians doing "nothing"....thats how we got in this mess.

That's exactly right because America was Christian and believed in their duty to bring about the millennium. That was the religion of the people who settled the country and believed they were creating the New Jerusalem.
The Powers That Be created a new religion through John Nelson Darby (in the 1800's) that said, no, there is a rapture and the millennium is in heaven. They (TPTB) promoted that cult and infiltrated all the churches to weaken American and its power for good in the world and social justice.

The Bible says the world will never end. We are looking forward to the end of the age of man's rule and the rule of Christ from Jerusalem. The end of human government.

Right, but honestly, that screams "Zionist agenda." Christians have been used time and time again to try and seize Jerusalem.


It all goes back to the Pharisees and Rome:

They themselves are ignorant of Christ, but try and keep the masses in ignorance as well. Bleed the world dry. From Crusaders to the American war machine -- all the bloodshed is over dirt as far as I'm concerned.

Guess I'll continue to do what Ive been doing. Live life, try to be a decent person and try to keep happyness in the people around by doing what I can for them. Other than that... Nothing.

OP. You have to see this from a Christian and biblical perspective. You can't look at it from a "worldly" view. To the Christian, they already have the answer to the worlds problems. Jesus Christ.

Christians are already doing what they are supposed to be doing. Preaching reconciliation to God through Jesus Christ to those who are condemned without him. So for the Christian, all other solutions are moot if the first step in solving the problem hasn't been completed. Accepting Christ.

Always someone out to take someone elses stuff, wether it's their money, or their livelihood, their wife, their land etc. Call it what you will but it is what it is. My ancestors got the raw end of the land deal and then thrown into reservations and it was europeans killing them with diseases and stealing their land by getting them addicted to white lightning and trading their lands for whiskey. So yeah, always someone out to screw someone else out of their stuff and it's all the time and in every age. Just human beings doing what they do.

Save the world. Does that mean saving the souls of the people of the world? Protecting the environment? Saving lives?

If it's a spiritual problem, then Christians, etc. have a spiritual solution. If it's a worldly problem, hunger, illness, illiteracy, Christians have been fighting that for centuries.

But I have a fear that the OP is hiding the question, "Why don't Christians have my particular views on a hot social subject? I'm probably wrong, so I'll apologize in advance, but still ...

My dad is full blooded Apache so I understand where you're coming from. I just don't get why you (or anyone else for that matter) won't acknowledge money as the root cause.

So how do we "save the world?"

Preach peace... many of us do.

Feed the hungry... been doing that.

Help build homes and shelter... done that.

Provide blankets, cloths, diapers, shoes... done that so many times.

Give money... ok, done that.

Actually visit the inhabitants of a poor nation... help build a school... give them knowledge to grow food... sew... medicines... did that last summer.

Preach love and encouragement... forgiveness... sing songs... paint... rebuild porches and roofs... OK, did it.

Give and donate supplies to other charities and programs...freely without respect to color, creed, religion... yup.

Actually invite and temporarily house impoverished and challenged people in our home and love them and feed them and cloth them...did that too.

Cut firewood and deliver it for heat to poor families... many times done by our church.

Ok... so dear OP... what will you do to save the world?

I guess you'd have to start by explaining what Christianity has to do with any of that. And what you think needs to be done to "save the world".

Change the world for the better? You already did that, it was called The Enlightenment, and it told God, and Christians, to take a flying leap, because human beings could manage things by themselves.

So I'm not sure what you're asking us to do... our idea of "changing the world for the better" obviously isn't yours.

I beg to differ. No one needs to "bring Souls" anywhere. Souls are Sovereign, and Souls are Free, and Divine. why chain them down again? Set them free! And sorry, but Mother Earth is our problem. We were charged with Her care, and again we failed. This will make the forth time humanity has failed at such a simple thing as taking care of their Home. If this world is God's problem, he is doing a worse job than we are.

Only if all are Free, and all Stand Together will we truly be free.
