Fiercest fighting yet reported inside Damascus

Opposition fighters battled Syrian government forces in Damascus on Sunday in what residents described as the fiercest fighting yet inside the city limits of the capital.

in.reuters.com...

Here is the Tweet grid for up to the minute eyewitness reporting for any who are interested: tweetgrid.com...

Appears the airport has been shut down, lots of areas are on fire, and lots of videos on youtube showing some of the fighting.

Yes but this is all propaganda from the rebels and the western rebel sympathizers.... if you notice here:

Syrian Truth l Addounia TV facebook page l Damascus

It has been circulated on many gossipy facebook pages that armed men occupied Damascus International Airport . Addounia facebook correspondent directly from the Airport refutes such rumors which aim at lowering the spirit of the Syrian people

www.facebook.com...

we have seen too many lies from these people (rebels) IMHO... we are at ATS to deny ignorance, not to regurgitate propaganda!

The Guardian is reporting this already:

Apparently the Red Cross said it's a civil war.

Up until today the MSM have called it "Syria"

Whenever the self-fulfilling end times psychopaths come together, it is called "Damascus"

Keep an eye it

So, you refute one aspect of the propaganda, but blindly accept the other side?

All sides are propaganda. One must weed through and find the kernels of truth within. Neither 'side' is right.

Damascus is a city in Syria. The fighting being reported on is located there.

I know there is fighting, what I am saying is that it is not an airport occupied etc etc

the exaggeration from the rebels has been more than thoroughly documented, to the point that anything from them is utter ridiculousness...

yet the west wants you to eat it for breakfast!

Why? because they want Assad out.... not because the majority of the Syrian people do... these rebels have been imported by al qaeda and the brotherhood from other countries... most of them are not Syrian at all....

Regardess of premature calls of occupying damascus,a rebel officer was quoted as saying that they are about to push for Damascus, and that they had 30,... troops plus al the gear they now needed to start to take damascus from Assad.....
maybe bragadoccio, but the fighting is intensifying alright...right on schedule...
If they maintain intense pressure for 24 hrs without being driven out, the city will be theirs soon afterwards....

Non of that is the point.

You pointed to one line from the report from the opposition, that is in no way any more confirmed than the 'rebels' reports, and put all your stock in it.

Notice how I didn't provide any commentary about it, just reporting what I have read....and when you leave it open others can perhaps provide other sources of information.

Because I have spoken to people living in Syria about what is going on there....

I put all my stalk in the people who have to live through this nightmare of the wahabbis who are being armed and funded by the West......

Your actually supposed to add your own commentary, at least a paragraph or so about your position thoughts etc etc... its part of the T&C's on ATS...

Interesting. I also know syrians who say the exact opposite. I guess our unproven anecdotal evidence cancels itself out.

Regardless, you have shown you are predisposed to believe pro-Assad Propaganda, while I am pointing out that an intelligent mind doesnt just accept any 'side' out of hand.

There are syrians who live in the west but have family in syria who have posted in other threads on the situation in Syria and not one of them says what you just did

You are more then welcome to report the thread, I didn't want to provide my thoughts on the matter because I would rather information flows about the subject and not degrade into senseless rant of two groups of people who want to argue Western involvement.

If you just take a look, I am not new to the game.

OK, a little history.

Damascus is a city name, of the land that was partitioned in the land grabs knows as WW1 & 2.

Modern day nations were named during the western imperialism and colonization periods of recent history.

Same is true of Israel, Iraq, etc;

The goal of the west was to separate the Arab nations and to install governments aligned to the western thinking.

Divided you fall and what not.

Again, I guess our anecdotal and totally unprovable evidence cancels itself out.

Now, back to the topic of blindly accepting one side of the story, while rejecting the very same methods of reporting by the other.
