I too second the notion it would be a real torment to lose an artistic god such as yoursef in this thread. To me, this thread is more about people coming together in a fun place, having a laugh and a smile or three and putting the amazing into the amazing artwork into the avatars people post up.

Your work is far above anything us mere mortals can produce here, and I should know. I've seen your bikes.

We all get frustrated sometimes, I can more than appreciate that, and although it is a little off topic for this thread, I think I share everyone's sentiments when I say if you need a listening ear, mine (as I suspect a lot of people's here) are all open friend.

I do need a break from avatars for a bit at least in this thread I will however work on that are brought to me personally. Again I am sorry for using you as a catch all.

Sweet Friend, Agarta. You've not derailed this thread. You're a Family member of this thread, a founding member of this thread. All you've done, is shown that you are Human, with Human feelings. All Families that are close are privileged to share deep personal feelings with each other. You have given so much, yet asked for nothing in return. Agarta, You, of all people in this thread, have taught me the only things I know on uploading an avatar, and you made my avatars so they would be fine-tuned to perfection. You stuck with me through U2U's when I gave up on myself.

Is there anything I can do, to help with your frustrations? I can't help with graphics at all...as you well know....but I can listen, send Love, and hand crafted soaps to perfume your hot baths, and sooth your aches. Care package is on the way....

My friends, I come begging more favors. I hope I'm not being a pest, but it is no secret that I am artistically challenged

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month; being a survivor, this is very dear to me. I would ask all of you to use your talents in designing some very special avatars/backgrounds to push awareness of this cause.

I would love to have this centered on this to use as a background. I would also like to have this on a transparent background to use as an avatar.

Hello all,

I wish to begin with an apology for my attitude yesterday. It has been a pretty stressful few weeks for me and it all came to a pinnacle, but this is no excuse for behaving as I did. I couldn't leave this thread if I tried. I was going to hold off on making avatars and such for a while but truth be told it is one of the main stress relievers I have so it would be counter productive to do so. Thank you to all of you who have shown me support in this.

That said, I saw LadyJaes post referencing October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month and decided to write a thread giving information and attempting to spread awareness. After PMs with a certain Super Mod it was decided that the thread would be placed into the Members Art forum. Although the OP is all information, it was decided to use that thread to make Avatars, Backgrounds, and Signature images for those that would like to help promote awareness. It will give a specific type of images for this purpose that members can pick and choose from in one place.

I am writing this post in order to ask the artists and image seekers to begin preparing for this thread by collecting or making Awareness images in the proper sizes to add to this thread when it is posted. The thread is completed and ready to post, however I wanted to give some time for images to be readied (uploaded and links ready to put all together in your individual posts). I will not post it for at least a couple of days in order for myself to do this as well. Anyone interested in helping with this please let me know so I may send you a U2U when the thread is about to go live. Once this thread is posted, another thread will be posted directing people to it by the before mentioned Super Mod in order to reach as many people as possible. (Thank you so much Super Mod lol we all know who you are)

I feel this is an important subject and deserves the awareness it needs.

No apologies are needed, Agarta. It would be a blessing if we could be cheerful and upbeat at all times, but we are only human. We are family here, and family should accept each other as they are. I don't think there is one of us who hasn't, at one time or another, lashed out in frustration. I also don't think there is one of us who would not be there for another who needed a sounding board. All is well, my friend

Thank you for what you are doing for breast cancer awareness! It is an insidious disease that claims the life of too many people (and, yes, men can be a target also).

Please let me know when this thread goes live. I have absolutely no artistic ability (an open secret by now) but perhaps I can help by finding graphics that others may use.

Yes it is for sure. As for men, the statistics say 1 in 1000 or 1/10 of 1% but it is still much higher than I thought it was.

I have the thread completed, as stated before and 30 images ready to go at this point. I will probably work on some more today but I wanted to let everyone know I do have a couple of full avatars and no backgrounds. I focused on the "subtle". I took images and put them on transparent avatars so they are small and do not take too much from existing backgrounds but still show support and small signature images. Not sure what will be created today though lol.

I will help with the breast cancer awareness thread, but I won't have time to create anything until this weekend.

I'm pretty busy right now, and also working on a particularly selfish fundraiser of my own away from this site. If anyone wants to help me out, spreading the word or rallying for me, send me a PM. I have a video that explains everything. I am definitely learning not to be shy about asking for assistance, even though it is difficult for me to admit that I need help sometimes...

Anyway, I read this thread every couple of days, even when I can't participate. It is a great thread.

I will link the thread in this one when it goes live and it is already set up to link back here for those that need help in normal avatars, backgrounds, and signature images.
