So here is what I did. The original picture is very good actually so all I did was spread the color some to smooth it out. Then I re-sized it to avatar size and Background size. Then I found some others along the same line and re-sized them to Background size.

This one really, really says something to me, somewhere deep in my soul. Thank you for finding it.

This one may be way off base for what you want. I used your image as a guideline then reproduced it in more of a "computer environment" I guess using the images I posted earlier. Anyway, this is what it looks like.

Ooh! I do like that! I like the style, it is beautiful. Can you darken the colors a bit? I prefer very rich, earthy tones if you can find them. That's mostly why I was unhappy with my own image, the RGB are all way too bright for the web - nothing like the actual drawing looks.

For the record, I am a web developer - I like to do web graphics, and I can do pretty cool stuff using people's faces as the medium. So, if any of you need something based on a face, I can come up with something a little kooky and maybe kind of creepy.

I've noticed a lot of the artist-contributors have a great degree of "empathy" as well and are able to really read into what people want
Pretty amazing stuff!

Sublime's story with the pictures was awesome! I'm amazed they were just one sentence statements but said SO much more due to the pic being included!!

So, what do you want your signature to say?

Do you want it to say something about you, or do you want to speak to the person reading the signature?

I darkened/deepened the colors a little, how's this? I wanted to keep the "sketch quality" to it instead of making it "sci-fi" looking

Much better. I think, though, it is the green grass that is searing my eyes. I will take it and see if I can do anything to it... Will be back in a few mins.

Well PS crapped out on me (I'm at work, ooooopsie). Anyway, I think the grass needs to be something darker, several different colors of dark gold and green - like a wheat field. This way, the tree stands out... What do you think?

I think it should do both...say something about me (freedom in truth) and speak to the person reading it too!

I like the idea of a graphics signature with some sort of caption...maybe "freedom in truth" is simple enough...the idea of my signature matching my avatar is pretty neat also!

I like my avatar orange (like it is) but would like the background and avatar to be "one" instead of being a separate background and avatar!

I don't know...might be a lot to ask for!

I would prefer the woman to be unmade and not in a sexualized or "flirty" pose. I know that it is hard to find pictures of women who are just being themselves, so I'm not harshing on you, PurpleChiten, this is a really great idea.

Ideally, I will one day grow from a tree, so someone can just take a picture of me at that point.

Until then, I need this magic you all do so well.

Ipsiss or Agarta or some of the others may be able to whip something up really easily!
