Your new avi turned out great, it was worth all the work the artists put into it....the runes turned out very cool, much better then along the side, would be nice if your could see the symbols on them a little clearer....I'm glad you decided against all the blood...lol....

So here is what I did. The original picture is very good actually so all I did was spread the color some to smooth it out. Then I re-sized it to avatar size and Background size. Then I found some others along the same line and re-sized them to Background size.

I'm happy with it. It's supposed to be mysterious. Only people interested in runes would give it a second glance.

But, yes, I will agree, we have some awesome talent here on ATS.

I've been busy this past couple days; got some work from a client. But wow the post are flowing in steadily. Glad to see this thread staying alive, it's a gem.

I have been looking for a signature for awhile...avatars are neat...but signatures make a statement too...so I would love to hear some ideas that collaborate with my avatar!

Just saying...need some help with that!

ETA: I have seen some awesome work with avatars...and working mine over would be great too...if someone feels creative!

That's a great idea, I always loved when you did readings for us and our friends...lots of wisdom and amazingly accurate.... Does it make a difference though if you don't actually touch them?

Yea, this is sorta like the avatar makeover thread. So much creativity flowing in here. Heck, you might wind up with an apple orchard for an avatar.

On a serious note, the artists in here don't throw something at you. They want to know your personality, what colors you like, and different ideals that you have. They are somehow able to read your personality, (artistic license) and come up with something dazzling and different. It's worth the ride through the re-make department.

This one may be way off base for what you want. I used your image as a guideline then reproduced it in more of a "computer environment" I guess using the images I posted earlier. Anyway, this is what it looks like.

the signiture thread didn't take off

there are several writers here though and they may be able to come up with something. Especially the ladies who are on the critique committee!

Ladies? Any ideas? ...or anyone else, don't want to leave anybody out.

hmmm... maybe our critique committee could offer signitures to match the avatars that are made since they're all gifted writers... just a thought

That actually sounds pretty cool! There's one now that's reading auras and there were a LOT of participants. It's in the off topic forum too. I'm sure folks would flock to the runes as well!

The avatar space is something people keep with them,and the sig space is either unused, contains a simple quote, or has links that that particular member wants to share. A few members post pics in their sig, but to me, it's about advertising, plain and simple. The avatar is a person's identity, and they are good with that, but it's so much harder to decide the links everyone reads in your sig. Is it a profound quote, a picture, or links to other information? The sig space is much more personal than the avatar space. The sig space gives members a measure of freedom, and they appreciate that.
