There is very dark deep meaning to this. The Islamists will not tolerate anything that is not islamic. That includes you. If they topple the Pyramids, they will send you all to the furnaces without an afterthought if they get the chance.

Thank you for posting that (Hermetica). I've heard of it but hadn't read anything from it before.

Hopefully they are protected- aren't they considered on of the seven ancient wonders of the world? Surely, the pyramids will be allowed to stand? Ignorant humans..What a loss for the world if that came to pass.

Sounds like propaganda material to me, that's all

Radical Islamists lay waste to Timbuktu heritage.

Muslim extremists continued destroying the heritage of the ancient Malian city of Timbuktu on Monday, razing tombs and attacking the gate of a 600-year-old mosque, despite growing international outcry...

...Over the weekend, fighters screaming "Allah Akbar" descended on the cemeteries holding the remains of Timbuktu's Sufi saints, and systematically began destroying the six most famous tombs...

..."The destruction is a divine order," he said. "It's our Prophet who said that each time that someone builds something on top of a grave, it needs to be pulled back to the ground. We need to do this so that future generations don't get confused, and start venerating the saints as if they are God."

Considering the history of Islam it's a given that history will be wiped clean. The Saudi's won't even let Archeologists enter the country and search for or study historical sites.

If they do this it may actually be a good thing in the end. It will wake the academic community up to the fallacy of their insane cover up of radicalized Islamist activities and denial of the consequences of their blindness to it.

Things like the recent slaughter of a busload of Muslims by the Taliban they ignore, as human life has little meaning to Marxists. This however may make them suddenly honest.

I wonder if they will build a Mosque on top of the Pyramids site as they built the Dome of the Rock on top of the Jewish Temples to hide them in Jerusalem? Radical Islam seems to fear history and the reason is obvious. If this happens in a generation or two they will deny the Pyramids ever existed.

I agree though, the Pyramids hold a very important place in everyones heart. I see no point wasting money in destorying them. Any reasons why they would do that?

And isn’t the Muslim Brotherhood just another name for the Illuminati in the Middle East?

To the ignorant ...stones are just stones....

To those that know better, they are something more.

Just because you can't see the truth , doesn't mean it isn't there....you've just blinded yourself with your own ego and thoughts.

I highly doubt even a third of Muslim Egyptians would support such a ridiculous idea; most likely they would be outraged.

I'm sure they would.

But, so what?

Unfortunately, it would only take two-dozen maniacs' and some well-placed dynamite... and that's the end of the Pyramids.

Well... Christians destroyed Alexandrian library ... Stupidity seems to follow mankind where ever it ventures...

Of the same reason, I firmly believe mankind left Mars to destroy yet another planet.

Was reading about this on 4chan earlier. What a disgrace Muslims have become. Well, they always have been, but it's so much worse now.

Something occurred to me. I don't really buy into the whole 2012 hype, but... maybe this is what will start off the "end of times"? There are many who believe the pyramids represent the site where humanity initially grew to greatness. Maybe its destruction will rouse the old gods from their slumber.

Either way, if they went through with this, I would want their precious Mecca turned to rubble and ashes.

Ancient and modern sources identify four possible occasions for the partial or complete destruction of the Library of Alexandria: Julius Caesar's fire in the Alexandrian War, in 48 BC; the attack of Aurelian in 270 – 275 AD; the decree of Coptic Pope Theophilus in AD 391; and the Muslim conquest in 642 AD or thereafter.

Library of Alexandria

The Muslims laid siege to Alexandria in March 641 A.D.[37] The city was heavily fortified: there were walls within walls, and forts within forts. There was no dearth of provisions and food supply in the city. The city also had direct access to the sea, and through the sea route help from Constantinople in the form of men and supplies could come at any time.

As 'Amr surveyed the military situation, he felt that Alexandria would be a hard nut to crack.[38] The Byzantines had high stakes in Alexandria, and they were determined to offer stiff resistance to the Muslims. They mounted catapults on the walls of the city, and these engines pounded the Muslims with boulders. This caused considerable damage to the Muslims and 'Amr ordered his men back from the advance position so that they might be beyond the range of the missiles. A see-saw war followed.[7] When the Muslims tried to go close to the city they were hit with missiles. When the Byzantines sallied from the fort, they were invariably beaten back by the Muslims.

It is said that Heraclius, the Byzantine emperor, collected a large army at Constantinople. He intended to march at the head of these reinforcements personally to Alexandria. But before he could finalize the arrangements, he died. The troops mustered at Constantinople dispersed, and consequently no help came to Alexandria. This further demoralized the Byzantines. The siege dragged on for six months, and in Madinah 'Umar got impatient. In a letter addressed to 'Amr, the caliph expressed his concern at the inordinate delay in the invasion of Egypt. He further instructed that the new field commander would be 'Ubaidah, and he would launch an assault on the fort of Alexandria. 'Ubaidah's assault was successful and Alexandria was captured by the Muslims in September 641. Thousands of Byzantine soldiers were killed or taken captive while others managed to flee to Constantinople on ships that had been anchored in the port. Some wealthy traders also left.[39]

On behalf of the Egyptians, Cyrus of Alexandria sued for peace, and his request was granted. After the invasion of Egypt 'Amr is reported to have written to Caliph 'Umar:
“ "We have conquered Alexandria. In this city there are 4,000 palaces, 400 places of entertainment, and untold wealth." ”

The permanent loss of the Egypt left the Byzantine Empire without an irreplaceable source of food and money. The loss of Egypt and Syria, followed later by the invasion of the Exarchate of Africa also meant that the Mediterranean, for long a "Roman lake", was now contested between two powers: the Muslim Caliphate and the Byzantine Empire. In these events, the Byzantine Empire, although sorely tested, would be able to hold on to Anatolia, while the mighty walls of Constantinople would save it, during two great Arab sieges, from the fate of the Persian Empire.[40]

An attempt was made in the year 645 to regain Alexandria for the Byzantine Empire, but it was retaken by 'Amr in 646. In 654 an invasion fleet sent by Constans II was repulsed. From that time no serious effort was made by the Byzantines to regain possession of the country.

Muslim Conquest

To add some context for those who may not understand the final destruction of the Library was at the hands of the Muslim conquerors.

When have I wondered this? I've had many conversations with people on ATS.

What's wrong with 4chan? It's a message board. I only go there for the humor, and sometimes the paranormal board is interesting.

I don't even know why I bothered replying. A member as new as you shouldn't really be judging anybody here.

First off, the ancient religions are not dead. I wish people would quit saying that. There ARE still people that practice a worship of the ancient Egyptian Pantheons. That's just a little thing, but it irks me.

I can't imagine that this will endure them to pagans very much, or archaeologists, or educated people in general.
What else is in Egypt? They will surely starve if they destroy their treasures.

No doubt they'll be cursed if they do it, and the curse WILL work. I imagine it will have the power of the AGES behind it.

It would suck to be them if they do that.

That is a sweeping generalisation of 2 billion people. Your comment classifies you as a religious bigot.

In the last 10 year, the Christian US killed 1 million Iraqis and the Jewish Israel has killed 20,000 civilians.

So one wonders who are the terrorists.

Now I don't support Egyptian Paganism or it's ideas (don't have to) but I find it pretty hypocritical of the moslems. They cry foul when someone proposed to bulldoze a mosque or restrict the building of mosques... but I'm really not surprised.

Also, wouldn't this hurt tourism (ie $$$$$) in Egypt?? Who the heck would bother going to Egypt if there are no more pyramids, no sphinx... nothing? I think most people planning tourist trips to Egypts are doing it to see the ancient pyramids.... now all that'll be left is the Nile and lots and lots of sand.

I found this bit interesting (never though about this):

While most Western academics argue otherwise, according to early Muslim writers, the great Library of Alexandria itself—deemed a repository of pagan knowledge contradicting the Koran—was destroyed under bin al-As’s reign and in compliance with Caliph Omar’s command.

...wouldn't be surprised.

I have always had the unmistakable gut feeling that the pyramids along with the many other ancient sites around the world have been, were, and ARE a great contributing factor in the reason the Human condition and the planet herself is in the condition it is and always has been in.

Something tells me that once it is removed, great changes would occur.

I have ALSO always wondered if our planet would right itself, and the seasons would be no more. Just perpetual spring time in MOST of the world. Those damn things have GOT to weigh a few pounds. Enough to throw the Earth off its Axis a little? Maybe cause a wobble?

Just a thought.

Generalize much?

There are a number of different faiths hat reside in the US military. I highly doubt that the "1 million" lives lost in Iraq were at the sole hand of the US, even if that number is accurate. Have you forgotten all of the sectarian violence that plagued Iraq, originating over which version of Islam was the right one? They can't even get along with each other! You don't see mass violence around the globe between Christians, Baptists, Catholics, Evangelicals, Presbyterians, etc...
