Calls by Islamists to Destroy Egyptian Pyramids Begin

I wanted to call attention to this article that my partner and I came across this morning. The idea of this makes me SICK. This cannot happen. How could this even be proposed? I'm not sure of the validity of this source but I wanted to post it here for some healthy debate on this. What do you think??

In fact, the same reports discussing the call to demolish the last of the Seven Wonders of the Word, also note that Egyptian Salafis are calling on Morsi to banish all Shias and Baha’is from Egypt.

If this information is based in fact. Then I see this movement as the beginning of a revolution, the likes of which Egypt has not seen before. Threatening to rip the roots of a collective soul, can be very dangerous. Egyptians are very protective of their Pyramids.

Well I hope this report is not going to happen, I really do fear a massive backlash on every Muslim world-wide if it does happen, because if they are either good or bad Muslims they will not be allowed to survive, they will never be able to go out from the home they live in, yet that is quite sad as I for one know that there are lots of very nice Muslim people, I know some here, they are kind, gentle, and loving, it would be wrong for a few silly one's to make things hard for lots of good people.

Stones are stones. Let them destroy it for all I care. I am pretty sure some Masons will be pissed :p

I agree though, the Pyramids hold a very important place in everyones heart. I see no point wasting money in destorying them. Any reasons why they would do that?

This doesn't surprise me at all.

The extremists blew up the Buddhist statues and can't stomach other religions .. even those that are no longer active and that are just historical shells in nature.

Thing is .. these idiots are causing problems for the Egyptian people by wanting to do this.

1 - If they blow up the tourist places, there will be no tourists and Egypt gets a whole lotta money from tourism.

2 - If they blow up these historic sites, then there will be a loss of $$ from the world of academia as well.

If they destroy the pyramids ... they are freakn' idiots. Plain and simple.

Only goes to prove my point. Taliban doesn’t follow the teaching of Islam. It says in the Quran that you must respect the Bible and those who follow the Bible’s teaching. Same goes with the Torah. Hell, I live in Kuwait and we have a two churchs here. Pretty nice for a small country

I don't think the aliens would be visiting us anytime soon when they see we destroy the pyramids(supposedly aliens build the pyramids). aliens are not going to waste their time on this little insignificant blue green planet

I'm with you on that one all the way.. there's a theory that alien helped build the pyramids, or they were built to worship the 'visitors' that the ancients considered gods...

I know there's little chance that it's true, but I for one would laugh my considerable ass off if anyone trying to blow up the Sphinx got a little taste of some seriously hardcore alien tech....

It's funny, but desperately sad at the same time.. hoping for alien intervention because man is too bloody stupid to quit all this nonsense..

There is a prophecy stated in Hermetica of what will come to fruition in Egypt (although I'm a skeptic when it comes to prophecies, it's still interesting nonetheless)...

Sometimes I wonder if that would be a bad thing.
In fact, ban all of it.. evangelism, mass worship, all the religions.. tell people to keep it in their homes.. It might stop the few giving the rest a bad name by collectively shoving it everyones throats, flying planes into things, blowing people up, and generally behaving like jerks, while telling everyone how pure and so much better they are than the rest of us.
