What Will Shortly Take Place

Many people are speculating on what the near future holds. Many feel as if there are events hitherto unknown happening to humankind at* unprecedented levels.

The banking crisis, the real estate crisis, the global financial crisis, natural disasters, man-made disasters, threats of wars, hate crimes, increase of demonic activity of all forms (even if people refuse to believe that the demonic events making the news are not demonic because of a lack of belief in the supernatural), etc. etc.

Now I realize that this board is mainly made up of people who are into esoteric and occult philosophies and ways of life. I’ve been around enough to notice this about the people on AboveTopSecret. So this post will probably receive little if any acceptance among its members. But if one person is able to pay attention to the following then it is worth it.

Are we really living in special times? The end times? What does the near future hold? This is a prophetic look at the future using the Bible as a guide. Yes, the writer of this realizes that many of you scoff at the Bible and its unfailing predictions, and its accurate history. You may be on your way as what is to be revealed certainly will not appease to you.

To those who still love truth and are keen to know what is really going to happen read on. This is a matter of life and death. And no that is not a joke, nor is it a delusion. The others, the scoffers, will realize, perhaps, too late. It is inevitable. The knowledge is available, but who will listen?

First off, while this topic will not deal directly with why we can be sure that Bible is reliable there is convincing evidence, including scientific evidence of its truth (such as the Bible stating that the earth is spherical and hangs upon nothing many thousands of years before that was an established scientific fact), archeological, and historical proofs.

In it Jesus and Paul both state specific prophecies when combined that show what the condition of the world be in and what the predominate mental bent of mankind would be.

Matthew 24 gives us this composite sign in verses 4-14. Briefly Jesus stated that all of these things would be happening at the same time (on unprecedented scales) so as to let us know that we are in the last days: False Messiahs, Reports of wars, nation rising against nation (literally ethnic group vs. ethic group) and kingdom against kingdom, food shortages, earthquakes, true Christians being delivered up to be persecuted and killed, being objects of hatred by all mankind, false prophets arising, a cooling of the love of people because of an increase of lawlessness, and a special preaching of the good news as a witness in all the earth, then the end comes.

After Matthew 24:14 Jesus tells us future events that will come when all of the above is fulfilled. We are living in the fulfillment of this prophecy today, we ARE in the LAST DAYS of wicked mankind. It would obviously then behoove us to see what Jesus has to say about what is shortly to take place.

Briefly before doing so let us go to Paul’s prophecy concerning the last days. It is a prophecy concerning the mental bent and moral condition of humanity as a whole. Now the holy scriptures of truth and healthful teaching reveal to us that Satan the Devil has ruled mankind from the invisible spirit world along with powerful demonic fallen angels. His mental attitude permeates society and influences it. In fact the predominate mental bent of Satan, of rebellion, of hatred of God, of hatred, egotism is everywhere, we can see it exuding among many, even on this very website:

(Ephesians 2:2) . . .in which YOU at one time walked according to the system of things of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit that now operates in the sons of disobedience.

Many fail to realize the condition they are in because they have been blinded, and that is understandable. But to show what types of attitudes would dominate the last days we read Paul’s prophecy:

(2 Timothy 3:1-6) But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away.

Pretty straightforward., this is the predominate attitude among mankind today, and it is of no surprise that the majority of this website as well fall into the categories above, and even of the following:

(2 Peter 3:3, 4) . . .For YOU know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires 4 and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep [in death], all things are continuing exactly as from creation’s beginning.”

Yes many are asleep spiritually and are actually ridiculers of truth. Even many who THINK they know the truth are sadly mislead. For example many supposed Christians teach that the literal earth and universe will soon be destroyed. Yet this prophecy clearly tells us that in Bible prophecy the words “heavens” and “earth” need not be taken literally, rather they have to do with governmental authorizes over mankind, and mankind itself:

(2 Peter 3:5, 6) 5 For, according to their wish, this fact escapes their notice, that there were heavens from of old and an earth standing compactly out of water and in the midst of water by the word of God; 6 and by those [means] the world of that time suffered destruction when it was deluged with water.

But this is a digression best left for another time. It does however reveal the mistaken attitude of both the ridiculers, and so-called Christians who publish false information about Biblical truth. The end of the “heavens’ and “earth” in our times will be the same as in the days of Noah. Obviously the literal heavens and earth were not done away with then, but wicked human society was. See, their own Bibles teach them this, but they do not grasp or understand the truth:

(2 Peter 3:7) . . .But by the same word the heavens and the earth that are now are stored up for fire and are being reserved to the day of judgment and of destruction of the ungodly men.


It is true that the words prophesied by Jesus in Matthew 24 had an initial and partial fulfillment in the first century, and concerned the Jewish system of things and the temple in Jerusalem. But they obviously had a much greater import and fulfillment in our time. So to understand this prophecy it is good to look at the first-century parallels and see how exactly it was fulfilled then and see how it will unfold in our time.

But before we go back to Jesus’ prophecy at Matthew 24 though, it is good to look at a crucial prophecy that Paul made concerning what will trigger future events. This future event will alert all true Christians that finally the end has arrived, and the great tribulation about which Jesus prophesied will directly follow,

What is that event? Read with me 1 Thessalonians 5:3 for the answer:

(1 Thessalonians 5:3) . . .Whenever it is that they are saying: “Peace and security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them . . .

This is a vague and ambiguous prophecy to be sure. And no doubt it was meant to be so. Many prophecies in the Bible are not fully understandable until they are in the process of fulfillment. Yet this is enough warning for true lovers of righteousness who are “keeping on the watch” and alert to world events.

Something is going to happen in the near future, whether it be one singular cry of “peace and security” or a series of them culminating in what appears to be mankind solving some of earth’s most pressing problems we must wait* to see. No doubt when that time arrives it will be obvious. World leaders will no doubt take the lead in exclaiming this false pronouncement of achieving “peace and security,” and it appears logical that the world’s religious leaders and the clergy of Christendom will join with them in this proclamation.

But it is false. Do not let it mislead you. This means that the end has finally arrived. This is the first marker of future events. The fulfillment of this prophecy is yet future. You will see it fulfilled. When you do, then you will know when the following will occur.

Let us now return to Matthew 24 for after verse 14 Jesus tells us what then will follow:

(Matthew 24:15, 16, 21, 22) “Therefore, when YOU catch sight of the disgusting thing that causes desolation, as spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in a holy place, (let the reader use discernment,) then let those in Ju•de′a begin fleeing to the mountains….for then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short.

In the initial fulfillment of this prophecy, the “disgusting thing” was something that Jesus alluded to from a prophecy given to Daniel the Hebrew while in Babylon. You can see the prophecy in Daniel 9:27, and also Daniel 11:31 and 12:11. The one in Daniel 9:27 directly involved Jerusalem in the first century, the one in Daniel 11:31, and 12:11 are concerning the last days or the time we live in. For we are told in Daniel 12:9-11:

(Daniel 12:9-11) . . .And he went on to say: “Go, Daniel, because the words are made secret and sealed up until the time of [the] end. 10 Many will cleanse themselves and whiten themselves and will be refined. And the wicked ones will certainly act wickedly, and no wicked ones at all will understand; but the ones having insight will understand. 11 “And from the time that the constant [feature] has been removed and there has been a placing of the disgusting thing that is causing desolation, there will be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.

We see that the words of this scroll, or prophecy in Daniel 11 and 12 were to be sealed up and not revealed until the time of the end, and then only those having insight would understand, but those acting wickedly would not have understanding. Even reading this they will not understand.

In the first century the “disgusting thing” standing in a holy place occurred in 66 C. E. when the Roman General Cestius Gallus besieged Jerusalem’s walls. The Roman’s with their disgusting pagan standards were considered a “disgusting thing” standing in a “holy place” Jerusalem, God’s chosen city, a place it ought not.

Christians inside the city were now warned to flee. How would they do so? Cestius Gallus, with no known or written record as to why, suddenly lifted the siege and left. Discerning Christians packed up and fled Jerusalem, fleeing to the mountains just as they were told, to the mountain city of Pella.



Today what is the “disgusting thing” that will stand in a holy place? It is none other than the eighth world power of Bible prophecy, the United Nations. After the cry of peace and security it will stand in a place it ought not, attacking religion. Yes, as incredible as it may seem, the prophecy will come true and “sudden destruction will be instantly upon them.” Upon whom? It will NO DOUBT start with the clergy of Christendom.

That cry of peace and security will lead into an all out assault on religion. Mankind’s rulers will bond together in an unprecentded action as one part of Satan’s system attacks another to destroy it and he will be left on the side helpless to prevent it. Jesus Christ will put it into the hearts of the world rulers to carry out their “one thought” and they will turn upon religion and utterly destroy it, completely and totally. She will pay for all her sins with which she has sinned, and partake of the cup of which she made others partake.

This will be a most dreadful time in human history. It means the incarcerations, perhaps the death of anyone professing to be a religious priest, bishop, monk, nun. Christendom’s holy places will be devastated. While Christendom may be the first to go, the clergy of her take the lead in being destroyed, let not that make the other religions think they will get away safe. For all mankind’s false religions will then be turned upon and completely exposed for the rackets, the disgusting hypocritical liars that they are and then they will be completely destroyed. Islam, gone. Judiasm, gone. Hinduism? Gone. All religions will be destroyed. There will be no more celebrating Easter, Yum Kimper, no more Christmas, no more Halloween.

Those in Christendom parading around in God’s name ought not think they will escape divine punishment for her filthy conduct and her involvement in worldly politics and wars.

After the destruction of false religion worldwide atheism will be the only haven to which mankind will be able to turn to. But she is a harsh handmaiden and will rule even more cruelly over mankind than false religion ever did.

Then, at that time, after the destruction of false religion (as foretold in Revelation chapters 17, 18) then even more remarkable events will unfold. Read along as Jesus foretells these events for us in prophetic and symbolic language:

(Matthew 24:29) . . .“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

Immediately after the destruction of false religion worldwide at the hands of the United Nations, which by that time will be a world ruler over all humankind, then “the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven.”

Are these words to be taken literally? It is a possibility. But no doubt Jesus was referring to the world’s “heavens” in a prophetic sense. Remember above we saw that the heavens in Bible prophecy refers to the ruling elements of mankind. The sun, the moon, the stars, must represent certain ruling members of society - Its presidents, its military leaders, its scientific geniuses that lead mankind away from God and promise a bright future. At that moment in time all mankind will be in a state of misery and they will NO DBOUT know that it was no human feat that brought about the destruction of religion. And the world’s elite, ruling class, its stars, its rulers, will simply fade out and vanish, and they will be shown up to be the frauds that they are. And no doubt at that time the words of Revelation will be fulfilled when it states:

(Revelation 6:15-17) . . .And the kings of the earth and the top-ranking ones and the military commanders and the rich and the strong ones and every slave and [every] free person hid themselves in the caves and in the rock-masses of the mountains. And they keep saying to the mountains and to the rock-masses: “Fall over us and hide us from the face of the One seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb, because the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”

What will happen then? A MOST FRIGHTFUL event for wicked mankind alienated from Jehovah God and of his king Jesus Christ. For Jesus as the rightful ruler of mankind will appear in a glorious supernatural revelation to all mankind:

(Matthew 24:30) . . .And then the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in lamentation, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

What that supernatural sign will be, we are not told. But it will appear in heaven, and that will cause all mankind to “beat themselves in lamentation” as they see the glorified king-priest Jesus Christ come.

Will this lead mankind into repentance? NO! They will be lead directly by Satan and his demon hordes who are chiding all the world’s rulers to the ultimate showdown that will then shortly take place even as was foretold:

(Revelation 16:13, 14) . . .And I saw three unclean inspired expressions [that looked] like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the wild beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. They are, in fact, expressions inspired by demons and perform signs, and they go forth to the kings of the entire inhabited earth, to gather them together to the war of the great day of God the Almighty.

Yes, demonic signs that come from the “dragon” (Satan himself), the “wild beast” (the United Nations), and the “false prophet” (Anglo-American duel world power) will unite all the world’s nations to stand against God and against his anointed one.

Then Gog of Magog, representing Satan the Devil, who leads his earthly rulers will set out to attack Jehovah’s witnesses who will still be left on earth in all the earth witnessing about the Christ and his kingdom. He will now rush to utterly destroy them and will unite all human governments against Jehovah’s witnesses to eradicate them from the surface of the earth:

(Ezekiel 38:15, 16) . . .And you will certainly come from your place, from the remotest parts of the north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great congregation, even a numerous military force. 16 And you will be bound to come up against my people Israel, like clouds to cover the land. In the final part of the days it will occur, and I shall certainly bring you against my land, for the purpose that the nations may know me when I sanctify myself in you before their eyes, O Gog.”’

This attack on God’s people will trigger a response by God himself. He will not sit idly by and let his people be destroyed.

We will have at last finally arrived at the ultimate battle in the Bible known as Armageddon. When Satan’s wicked human rulers try to turn upon Jehovah’s people and kill them he will trigger Jehovah’s righteous indignation and he will move into action:

(Ezekiel 38:18-20) . . .‘And it must occur in that day, in the day when Gog comes in upon the soil of Israel,’ is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, ‘that my rage will come up into my nose. 19 And in my ardor, in the fire of my fury, I shall have to speak. Surely in that day a great quaking will occur in the soil of Israel. 20 And because of me the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and the wild beasts of the field and all the creeping things that are creeping on the ground and all mankind that are upon the surface of the ground will be bound to shiver, and the mountains will actually be thrown down and the steep ways will have to fall, and to the earth even every wall will fall.’

Jehovah will speak from heaven and all creation will quake and quiver in fear because of his awesome anger. He will send his warrior-king Jesus who will lead an angelic host of myriads of angels to wage war against the rest of wicked mankind alienated from God. Already Satan’s religious system will have been done away with. Now Satan’s commercial and political system of things will be utterly and completely destroyed by invisible superhuman forces:



(Revelation 19:14-18) 14 Also, the armies that were in heaven were following him on white horses, and they were clothed in white, clean, fine linen. 15 And out of his mouth there protrudes a sharp long sword, that he may strike the nations with it, and he will shepherd them with a rod of iron. He treads too the winepress of the anger of the wrath of God the Almighty. 16 And upon his outer garment, even upon his thigh, he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords. 17 I saw also an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out with a loud voice and said to all the birds that fly in midheaven: “Come here, be gathered together to the great evening meal of God, 18 that YOU may eat the fleshy parts of kings and the fleshy parts of military commanders and the fleshy parts of strong men and the fleshy parts of horses and of those seated upon them, and the fleshy parts of all, of freemen as well as of slaves and of small ones and great.”

All wicked mankind will be done away with. And it will be righteous and just of God to fight for his people who have no arms to defend themselves in their innocence from the vicious assault from wicked mankind:

(2 Thessalonians 1:7-9) . . .but, to YOU who suffer tribulation, relief along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels 8 in a flaming fire, as he brings vengeance upon those who do not know God and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus. 9 These very ones will undergo the judicial punishment of everlasting destruction from before the Lord and from the glory of his strength.

At the end of Armageddon Jesus will bound and abyss Satan that evil dragon and his wicked demon cohorts for a thousand years.

All I can say to this is OMG, you could have condensed this down to about one paragraph. You could have just said to read the bible and within it you will read some prophesies. Wether you believe them or not is up to the individual.

What time frame would you say is soon? This year, 10 years or 100 years.
I have already read the bible and found it to be a good story but then I've read heaps of good stories and lots of them contained prophetic visions of the future. Doesn't mean I believed all the books I read.

What gets me more about the bible is that no one really knows who actually wrote it and its been re written that many times it has lost its original message and become corrupted by input from others. Maybe even to the point where tptb have written the book that way so thats what we believe, deception.

You put a lot of time and effort into that, but you lost me at the mention of Jehovah.
Are you a Jehovahs Witness?
Let me tell you a story about an 8 year old boy. Me, who lost his best friend to Leukemia because his parents refused him blood transfusions.
I remember my parents trying to explain why my friend had to die, it wasn't till I was a lot older when I found out his parents were Jehovah's Witnesses that I got angry.
I don't give a rat's ass about this religion or that religion, but if medicine can save your child then use it.
Their theory, that if he could survive without medical care, all good but if the Lord decide's he should die, then so be it.
They let him die. It was Gods will. I have a seventeen your old daughter and I would move heaven and earth to save her if I needed to.
I wouldn't sit back and leave it in the hands of some semi - mythological God.
You have tools, use them. Did not God make the tools?

I am the good Shepard and all other are sinners in my mind. I jest but it is so easy to feel subjugated and want everybody to be judged. However if I were born into great wealth I would see from that perspective and play out my role accordingly. Name any role and if put into it I would play it out unawares of a greater consciousness. Thank goodness we are not all powerful. If so we'd destroy the entire universe in short order.

We are subjective in what our fellow human beings will "allow" us to be. Being self determined is being just yourself and taking the time to learn from life what you need to. But being this is hard, too many temptations to conform.

I'm not saying Judgement cometh not. Probably is and people will find they lived their lives differently than they thought they had. Many a "good" person will realize they were not and many a "bad" will know then that they were good. Life's funny like that. If anything is a prophetic indicator to me it's not necessarily your post although I think this is part of it. It is the collective rise in the people's cry for Justice, for Relief within themselves. It is the indignation, pain, the lack of love. The people's hearts cry out for relief and for better or worse I think they are going to get it. All people have played their role though. When they failed to comfort another human being in their time of need this was bad and when they helped this was good. We'll get to check the tally of our lives when we are dead though, via apocalypse or other means, and feel oh so sure that if we just had the opportunity to do it over we'd get it right "This Time" for sure. So goes humanity.

What must you do to come away victorious in what is shortly to take place? The Bible is quite clear. It states:


(Romans 10:13-15) . . .For “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.” 14 However, how will they call on him in whom they have not put faith? How, in turn, will they put faith in him of whom they have not heard? How, in turn, will they hear without someone to preach? 15 How, in turn, will they preach unless they have been sent forth? Just as it is written: “How comely are the feet of those who declare good news of good things!”

Yes, learning who Jehovah the true God and putting trust in him, and not any man-made government, or yourself will be what leads to salvation. How beautiful that the words of Matthew 24:14 are being fulfilled and this good news of the kingdom is indeed being preached in all the inhabited earth as a witness to all the nations.

How will you respond to the good news?

This is a Jehovah's Witness analysis, isn't it?
A couple of things give it away.
One is the artistic style of the illustrations. Once you've seen that pastel style in Jehovah's Witness pamphlets, it's quite unmistakable.

The other important clue is the completely wrong-headed interpretation of "the cry "peace and security", which is obviously a favourite line of recent years,
Paul says in 1 Thessalonians ch5 v3 that destruction will come "when people say 'There is peace and security'".
This is about the sudden and unexpected overthrow of people living in a state of complacency.
They believe they have got peace and security. That's the whole point of the statement.

Jehovah's Witnesses are trying to apply this verse to the exactly opposite situation.
You observe an atmosphere where people feel the need for peace and security. They believe they don'i have peace and security, and they want to do something about it.
You claim this is a "cry about peace and securtity", and the fulfilment of Paul's expection.
But it's actually the complete reverse of what Paul was describing.

When you see people living in a state of complacent comfort, believing that nothing can hurt them, that's when you can apply Paul's remarks.

Having said that I will add this:

This is one thing that many people like to ignore or overlook.

While all of the major religions, for example, looked the other way in Nazi occupied Europe during WWII, the Jehovah's Witnesses spoke out against the atrocities being perpeturated on the Jews, Homosexuals, and others.

Also, because of their training, they refused to go to war, and ended up dying for their faith. They proved what it meant to be true Christians.

Time and time again all around the world you see so-called Christians murdering each other, such as in Rwanda, where priests and nuns helped in the whole-sale massacre of hundreds of thousands of people. While at the same time Jehovah's Witnesses were protecting each other, and risking their lives for each other, even if they were of differing ethnic backgrounds, the Hutu and Tutsi.

This story is repeated over and over and over again all throughout modern history.

Many people say that Jehovah's Witnesses are an evil cult that brain washes people. But the actions show they they learn true love, and unwavering integrity and courage. Their training teaches them to be good people, to hate badness, and to show love to all.

If that is brain-washing, everyone needs it. Lol.

But Jesus did say this about his TRUE disciples:

(John 13:35) By this all will know that YOU are my disciples, if YOU have love among yourselves.”

We have achieved what everyone else only dreams of. And have also proven that world peace IS possible, and that Bible teachings when applied correctly prevent a Christian from murdering, hating, loosing integrity, looking down on others, show pride, cultivate nationalism, hatred and racism, that Bible teaching when applied correctly puts ends to wars and conflicts and unites people.

This is the truth about Jehovah's Witnesses. No one else has it, no other religion, and NO atheists can claim they have achieved this among themselves either.

I ask you a question, If Jesus healed the sick, then why would the Jehovahs Witnesses' choose to not use the
technology available to save a child's life.

A couple of things give it away.
One is the artistic style of the illustrations. Once you've seen that pastel style in Jehovah's Witness pamphlets, it's quite unmistakable.

The other important clue is the completely wrong-headed interpretation of "the cry "peace and security", which is obviously a favourite line of recent years,
Paul says in 1 Thessalonians ch5 v3 that destruction will come "when people say 'There is peace and security'".
This is about the sudden and unexpected overthrow of people living in a state of complacency.
They believe they have got peace and security. That's the whole point of the statement.

Jehovah's Witnesses are trying to apply this verse to the exactly opposite situation.
You observe an atmosphere where people feel the need for peace and security. They believe they don'i have peace and security, and they want to do something about it.
You claim this is a "cry about peace and securtity", and the fulfilment of Paul's expection.
But it's actually the complete reverse of what Paul was describing.

When you see people living in a state of complacent comfort, believing that nothing can hurt them, that's when you can apply Paul's remarks.

Peace and security (pax et securitas) was the motto of the Roman Army. It is also the motto of NATO. Prophecy is fulfilled in two parts. Rome destroyed Jerusalem in 70 AD. NATO is Rome. What do you think this new Rome will do? I doubt it has anything to do with pax et securitas.

Lol. Read it a little closer. Maybe the writing just isn't that good. :shrugs: The cry of peace and security comes at a future point when the world leaders and religious leaders will have wrongly lead a large amount of people that they have achieved solutions to many of mankind's problems.

If you recall the only other place in the Bible that refers to a cry that there was peace when there was no peace, was when the false prophets in Jerusalem were safely telling the people that they did not need to listen to Jeremiah and the other prophets, that God was content with them and they would see no calamity:


(Jeremiah 6:14, 15) . . .And they try to heal the breakdown of my people lightly, saying, ‘There is peace! There is peace!’ when there is no peace. 15 Did they feel shame because it was something detestable that they had done? For one thing, they positively do not feel any shame; for another thing, they have not come to know even how to feel humiliated. Therefore they will fall among those who are falling; in the time that I must hold an accounting with them they will stumble,” Jehovah has said.


This no doubt has a greater fulfillment in what will happen in that future event. And it would be reasonable to conclude that as these were the religious leaders, the prophets lying to the people, that the religious clergy will be invovled with this future event.
