Why is nobody ever in chat?

I just learned about the chat feature and I've went in there the past few days and never see more than like 2 or 3 people. Right now there is nobody but me in there? Why don't more people take part?

Mine didn't work either but then I downloaded Java and it worked. Maybe try that?

Because I use an iPad, and this site is not optimized to include us apple users.

The message that pops up says "You need at least 150 posts to use our live chat feature."

But during the radio shows I hear them ask questions from "The Chat Room" so I figure,
it probably fills up for the shows.

Most people go in during the shows. Saturday night is usually when most of us go in.

You just have to catch people at the right time. Most nights there are a group of people in there. It's slow during the day usually, but at least a few people will be in there.

I'm not spontaneous enough for real time chat. I need time to think of the insults I'm gonna unleash on people.

The chat doesn't work well for firefox, or didn't the last time I tried.

I'm on Firefox, and it works fine for me. I don't know if they upgraded it or what, but the only problem I've had with it and Firefox was when I accidentally dropped the bar to where I couldn't see what I was typing, and couldn't get it back.

It should work out ok if you have the latest version of java. Just go to java.com to verify that.

Personally I use FF and it works fine for me.

As far as the amount of people, it all depends on timing really. Keep in mind we have chatters from many different time zones.

It's hard to say when it'll be busy but check in periodically and you'll see some folks.

It's a nice group.

Chat is a lot of fun. I used to participate a lot, but now am cursed with an ipad.... And no way to chat.

When it get rollin in there its possible to split a gut from laughing so hard.

I type too slow for chat and my cats have dictated that I must spend my ATS browsing time lying on the couch with my iPad so that they have plenty of room to use me as a heated snooze zone.

Wrong, your iPad isn't optimized to more than half the web, which uses flash

Upgrade to a Galaxy Tablet 10.1, and you'll be fine. Works for me
