He went five times? Is this guy inept or did he want to get noticed? And why wasn't he picked up after the forth time? I call for a opportunity to generate some fear and good publicity for the police. After all the various scandals recently, they need it.

Why all the 'talk' about terrorism (false or otherwise), during the Olympic Games, yet no fears or threats during the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, which in IMHO would have been a perfect time for an 'event'?

Good point!

Surely terrorists would want to make a bloody mess of British people rather that foreigners from countries that have done nothing to them coming to see the Olympics.

Not even remotely true.

Those of us who live and/ or work in London were only too aware that security levels had been raised massively and very visibly. Here's one of the news stories that confirms it...

The Metropolitan Police have planned a security operation for the Diamond Jubilee weekend which is larger than that for last year's royal wedding. Up to 6,000 extra police officers will be on duty throughout the events and celebrations in London. They will be joined by 7,000 security stewards lining the River Thames during the 1,000-boat flotilla for the Queen on Sunday. Scotland Yard commanders have spent 18 months planning for the events. The operation is primarily focused on the huge logistical challenges of policing the river pageant.

This guy could be a ploy. He continues to return to the same spot 5 times before being confronted. Maybe this was the intention. They now beef up that location but what if that's to throw off security and another spot is where it will go down.

Why 5 times? If he hadn't been apprehended he may have visited more.

What was it he wasn't getting from the first 4 times?

he was probably trying to pick-up

Ignore him.

I don't even know how these trolls work the anti-Israeli rhetoric into every thread but they do.

Yeah, Israel did it!

A guy from Somalia who is ruled by an Islamist group who produce and arm terrorists must be Israeli!

All this time I thought you were aware!
Never heard of a false flag, hmmm.

We really need to bomb that terrorist state before time runs out.
They are the ones who say time is running out.

You're as bad as the "supposed" Israeli terrorists..

BTW, whos next after you destroy Israel ?

edit on 8-7-2012 by sonnny1 because: (no reason given)

Not supposed, known!
Who next?
I guess we will have to take the dentist approach and wait to see if there is pain, where there is we will fix it.
My guess is after the israeli terrorist threat is eradicated, there will be relative peace.

Why cant it be both?

I suppose it could be both.

How does that work?

The 'FALSE FLAG'ers have outsourced their terrorism to actual al-Qaeda terrorists! Diablolically clever, isn't it?

There are two ways to look at this latest story:

1) The stage has been set for the coming false flag attack, dry runs are underway and patsies are being chosen – or –

2) There really are fanatical Muslim terrorist’s hell bent on killing westerners and British authorities did a fine job foiling this recent plot.

Which is it, ATS? Is the threat from radical Muslims real or is this simply TPTB misleading us?

I'll take what's behind Door Number One.

How do you propose, with your obvious superior completely unbiased logic, the Arab countries in the region go about taking out Israel and all the people that live there? I'm interested in hearing your plan because the last time it was attempted it turned into one of the greatest military ass kicking's in the history of the Middle East. The tactic of using mass amounts of outdated cheap Soviet made armor to take a run at Israel's superior armored divisions left hundreds and hundreds of destroyed T-55's in the desert.

I also hazard to guess using the same absolute asinine and simpleton logic, that since Israel is under constant attack by terrorists that it should use it's nuclear arsenal to completely level Iran to the ground? After all, Iran is funding and arming these groups that constantly launch rockets into civilian areas. Using your distorted way of thinking, would multiple 600 kiloton devices on Iran's cities be to much or to less? Should they just kick it up a notch and go with escorted bombers carrying many 5-10 megaton devices?

By my reckoning, the last time an ass kicking was handed out was 5000 Hisbullah tore 40,000 Israel invaders a new one.

As with most zionists, they always hark back to a time one they destroyed post-colonial third world forces with help of France and Britian.

It is even suspected that US pilots flew airplanes with Israeli markings in the 1973.

The average Israeli fighting man is low grade due to his low moral character.

You know let them think it`s all good till he tries something. Otherwise they know to get on with plan B now.
edit on 7/8/2012 by Connman because: changed arresting to confronting

Maybe they( police or British intelligence ) are avoiding the---> "but you knew about this and did nothing"
and maybe the British Police or British intelligence's lower ranks do not want to be blamed for TPTB actions and they are really trying their best to put a stop to them.

I'm guessing they have all had a "talking to by their higher ranks, obviously not the top top ranks but you know what I mean. Well I hope that case anyway.

Not just "no", but "HELL no!".

That mythology is the flimsiest construct I have ever seen in all my years, and I've seen some pretty flimsy stuff.

The CIA has done some pretty unspeakable things, but that isn't one of them.

If something does happen it's gonna be an inside job. I'm living in Kenya right now and all we ever hear about on the news is Al-Shabab, It's been happening for the past three years. What has this done for Kenya? It's allowed them to invade Somalia and kill hundreds of innocent, stage local terrorist attacks where grenades are always the cause (Grenades? Really?), create a new anti-terrorism bill (That's right) and increase taxes.

My point is, the Government and MSM are playing us like pawns, It worked in the U.S after 9/11 and that's exactly what they're doing here. They discovered Oil in East Africa (Uganda, Sudan, Kenya) and that's where the whole KONY 2012 nonsense comes up, there's gonna be a genocide this year or the next in order to create political instability. We lose freedom due to induced fear, believing our governments can protect us from outside threats, when our biggest threat is on national soil.

Why do people on ATS find it so hard to understand history and see for themselves that terrorists are real and want to attack at the west. They Olympics is a ideal target for these deranged individuals.

If there is a terrorist attack during the upcoming Olympics it will not be a false flag.

There are some very bad people out there we call “terrorists” who want to do us harm, stop cowering under your duvets denying their existence to help you sleep better at night. Claiming that terrorists are actually the CIA or MI6 is just cowardly in my view.

I think, after reading the article, it's all a sham. While I am not going to get into a debate about real bad guys out there, anything that goes down at the Olympics is pure false flag. I have a hard time believing that "Al Qaeda" is so simplistic that multiple operatives on multiple occasions have just sauntered up and "cased" venues?

They made 14 arrests the week prior - this Somali guy was already "restricted" and knew the British government was monitoring his actions and comm - they also have to throw in at the end that one of the "suspects" is a "white" convert, for what? So, if someone actually sees "whites" doing anything at the games it can still be blamed on ME terrorists or to spread fear to the populace that it can be anyone, now?

Three options, by my thinking:
1) Total and complete false flag - in order to increase police state and start new aggressions.
2) Suspects and arrests are just show, Olympics go off with out hitch - so they can say "police state" works, we "caught" all the terrorists before hand, in order to increase police state and continue aggressions.
3) These really are terrorists being used as decoys and while the world and security is focused on London during the Olympics - they strike in other countries (US, France, Germany)

If nothing happens or something happens in UK - false flag
If something happens elsewhere - (maybe) the "bad guys" did it

There is just no winning with you is there?

Damned if they don't.

This is ridiculous.

The most infuriating thing about this is the excuse that they don't have the man-power to deal with people like this without draconian measures. They do, they're lying.

That little tracking tag can alert someone on any connected device and inform the relevant people of where he is.

Why was he permitted to travel through an area specifically known to be sensitive FIVE TIMES!?

He did this in London, where the security services are based. Any one of those people monitoring him could have - and should have - dispatched a team to stations along the route or waited until he arrived at his destination and detained him on the first travel through that restricted area.

There is no excuse for this. All it takes is the monitoring system running in the background and alerting staff when the person being tracked enters an area.

There is more to this than people think. I don't know what it is, but the security services are either ALLOWING him to do that, or they are so pathetically useless at their job they should all be fired!

There is absolutely no excuse for that allowing him to travel through that area more than once. On that one occasion he should have been picked up immediately and questioned.

You know what? I won't be the only one saying this, other governments will now be looking at the UK and wondering just how competent our security services are! And I don't blame them for questioning either.
