Why is rational, common sense thinking considered to be "skeptical" and "closed minded"?

When 21st December comes and goes in a perfectly normal fashion, what will your response to the skeptics be then?.....will you and all the other believers in this nonsense accept that you were wrong?.......or can we expect the goal posts to be moved to a new date?

Don't worry guys. I have it from a higher source that there is going to be change in December but it won't be all that bad. I got my information from an old friend who stumbled by one day that was high as a kite.

I believe that those who knew God will be on a new Earth next year, while those who did not, will remain on this one until about the spring of 2015 when it ends as we know it in a full blown nuclear holocaust. The event the OP noted occurs sometime between Nov 23 2012, and Jan 22 2013. I cannot accurately predict the date or where on Earth the Change will start. The two dates are asymtotes where time becomes nonlinear, it may be related to everything from a declaration of World War, to an expiriment in excitation of the higgs field. Since it is an opinion it may or may not be true.

The only thing that will happen on December 21st is that you will be reminded 1000 times that there are only 4 shopping days until Christmas

you know i think i saw this in an episode of Dr. Who. it changed things on Earth a lot, but of course the daleks were destroying the planet. It is an interesting idea OP, unfortunately i don't think it will happen.
