Are you serious? The bloke had a ticket and it wouldn't matter if he didn't. No one deserves to cop a hiding like that
no matter what they've done.
In 2007 I was travelling from Merinda Park on the Pakenham line to the city, I couldn't get a ticket as the machine wasn't working as per normal. So I thought I'd get a ticket at Flinders Street when I got off. I mean I still had to buy a ticket, I still had to get home right?
So I go up to an inspector and report that the machine wasn't working at Merinda Park and that I wanted an all day
ticket. He says you cant buy one, he wanted my details and that I was to be fined $200.
At this point I lose it and he gets 3 of his buddies and they try to heavy me. I'm not a small bloke and I can handle myself but I was lucky Flinders St. was crowded at 8.30 am in the morning. I think I was about to get a hiding.
Common sense prevailed and even though I tried to fight the ticket, they still fined me $200.
So for the want of a $4 ticket, I am fined $200 and that bloke at Dennis station gets bashed, and he had a ticket.
This is the future, everything privatised and policed by thugs.
Martial Law is already here.

$200 was clearly not enough as you seemingly do not recognise that you willingly and knowingly travelled on the train without paying, with some lame dame excuse that you wanted to buy a ticket.

You should have been roughed up a little more, might have taught you not to cheat the system.

See, thats the sort of stuff that gets decent people into big trouble. If they cannot respect passengers, then why should a passanger show any to them. I don't go down to the city too often so it doesn't concern me too much but to see what is happening really makes my blood boil.

Same thing happened to me also.

Ticket machine not working, so as I HAVE to get to my destination, I opt to buy it at the end, I'm not denying them the fare, but on inspection and my dilemma, I'm still friggen fined.

But luckily back then it was $50.

God forbid I'd be a tourist... I was on the train once years ago and this Irish guy was on the train, he had no idea he had to purchase a ticket BEFORE boarding, and on inspection, he was all joking, and happy.. till they said $50 fine.. he arced up "Feefty fecken Dollars, yer jokein?".. can only imagine he left Perth/Australia and thought what a load of tossers.

And you should see the profit the government transit get each year.

Arbeit?

As in the German phrase 'Arbeit macht frei' or in English 'Labour makes you free', a phrase seen in Nazi concentration camps?

The majority of post you have ever made are in this thread, opinions which support the above phrase right? If you don't work (labour) you have no money, no money no ticket no travel. Why go to all the effort just to refute the overwhelming evidence against your argument unless you have ulterior motives?

he won't see next month. So if you don't reply to it, it will shrink like his e-peen..

I don't see why you have such a problem with people who have different opinions to you. It's very sad that you feel the need to insult and mock people because you dislike their stance.

sick of your racist attitude

Do you even know the meaning of that word?

Or is it cool to call racism because that sort of thing is in vogue now?

Yes, I hate to break it to you, but this is in fact the way the world works. If you want anything, you must work for it.

Also, you might not like my opinion, but simply being overwhelmed by fascists who would rather silence me rather than actually engage in a discussion isn't going to work.

Like I said, very sad that you have to engage in name calling and insulting behaviour.

I will report that comment at once, I do hope you can improve your attitude and behaviour.

If you knew anything about the ticket machines here champ, you'd realise they were often vandalised and often breaking down of their own accord.
But your here trolling for a fight aren't you? As for calling my ancestors scum, mate. That's pretty low.
Its a pity your in another country and hiding behind your computer, I'd like you to say that to my face, coward.
The fact remains, the Law aside. This man was assaulted by a group of thugs, one against six.
They sound like your odds, coward. It would take six of you to bring down one of me.

You have no evidence to support anything you have said. How do you know he didn't have a ticket? If this was a woman or a teenager, would you still have the same opinion? Everything you say is just jibberish. What you are saying is that it is OK for ticket inspectors to man-handle, assault and injure citizens. You are a tosser.

No he said, if the guy did have a ticket, he still deserved a beating for having an attitude.

He's just a troll. He's not disagreeing, he's antagonizing..

Like looking under moldy carpet, you find rotten things.. best to ignore his posts.

So you think it is acceptable to steal access to transport and display an attitude to the people trying to prevent this sort of theft?

I think getting the crap kicked out of you for either not buying a bloody train ticket or swearing at a guard is ridiculous mate, get off your high horse and stop being so arrogant.

Good to see that the Australians continue in the line of common criminality that brought them into existance. Your Great Great Grandads would be very, very proud of you.

How about you mind your own damn business and get your nose out of ours? Go back to the hole you crawled out of and stay there. How dare you say that sort of crap.

I descend from one of the GUARDS of the First Fleet actually, so your little theory that all Aussies descend from criminals is a complete load of absolute nonsense, a bit like all your posts in this thread.

Answer the question and stop crying over a name

My family migrated here roughly 150 years ago. Do you realise that 27% of our country were not born here, Including people from where ever the hell you are from....

Not to mention that most Australians actually descend from Europeans who migrated here for their own reasons...
