I see your global warming worries and raise you the fact that here in the central US where I live we've had two ice storms in the last 4 years, each of which blanketed us with 2+ inches of ice followed by snow.

Last winter was more mild but we have our own little cycles like that. Our effects on nature are greatly exaggerated, the biosphere always adapts.

I'll take your total misunderstanding of the difference between weather and climate and explain to you that a rise in average global temperature has been predicted for decades to produce extreme localized weather patterns, including cold snaps, heat waves, extreme rain and snow, etc.
