The whole system is set up to extract as much taxes from you as possible, through whatever party or channel is possible. I bet taxes increase to cover the cost of all the insurance that working people now will have to support, and in addition, I bet my insurance rates go up as well as the deductible and pharmacy costs.....

Lets call this the "Robin Hood Tax", take from the rich to give to the poor... Not sure why the "rich" need to "pay" both literally and figuratively for being good at their place of work....

Actually a lot of people are pretty consistent in their values... Whether they make 20k or move up to 250K... The ones who pinch pennies and care only about their own dollar do so regardless of their income. It's a cop out to say if you made more you would be upset by this. That implies that people are guaranteed to become selfish if they make a certain amount of money. Clearly this is the nature of the GOP followers. The GOP cries constitution to hide their own greed and their followers eat up every talking point and regurgitate it back... Its obvious to the entire world, but for the misinformed FOX News viewer.

It's not greed.. Its what fair is fair... And people who have less money are more likely to compromise those values you speak of, especially when push comes to shove... Wealthier people arent usually put in the desperate situations that a person who is making $15k a year are...

I read about five pages of this thread and all I can really say is wow. Koolaid is not in short supply on either side. You see koolaid is a funny thing if mixed with to much sugar it taste like surup, if mix with not enough sugar it taste sour. But if mixed according to the directions like THEY have been doing for years, people are getting drunk off the stuff. Im not perfect myself, but at least Im not drunk. And anybody that thinks we shoould give our Uncle Sam (who hasnt figured out how to spend a dollar yet) is not only drunk on koolaid but they are stupid drunk. However you want too slice it we just gave our uncle a whole bunch more money (power), and thats not a good thing.

How about what happened BEFORE? Medicare, Welfare, Unemployment Insurance... Did these things make Healthcare a slam-dunk YES? How about we take one battle at a time instead of applying a "Yes To All"? Look around and see that the U.S. was trailing behind other countries who have found ways to provide healthcare.

This is a good thing and that's why it was fought so hard. Wars and Patriot Act happen overnight, but healthcare for the people? That's a battle! You really think the GOP care about whats constitutional? Just look at what you know about the GOP and how hard they fought this and how hard FOX tried to vilify it...

It is Right vs Left in the sense of political games. It's also haves vs have nots... and people gaining affordable healthcare is the right thing.

i just lost a great deal of respect for the USSC since they did not object to Justice Kagan offering an opinion or vote on legislation she publicly admitted was a "conflict of interest".
That is bad business all the way around.
