You're the one putting words in my mouth - tell you what? Save us both some time and effort (and yourself some embarrassment) and simply stick to what I said, not what you *think I inferred...

Negative. Gay people protesting are trying to raise awareness about their civil rights.

This is spin. From another person's perspective it may be an attack on their way of life. I've seen signs at the local gay pride parade that attack Christians and Republicans as blood thirsty nazis and Catholics as molesters. Should I have started throwing rocks? Basically, you're always going to have an excuse for why violence is ok when it's something you agree with being attacked.

By the way, I'm not religious)

I can just imagine what would happen if a Muslim group went to a fundamentalist southern baptist festival and started praising allah.

People would die.

So tired of people stirring the pot just because they can.

Still won't answer the very simple question huh? Why is it so hard? Is your brain caught up in a hypocritical paradox loop?

What shred of evidence do you have to back that up besides your clear hatred and bigotry towards Christians?

Or could it be as simple as if a person verbally assaults someone it tends to piss that person off....

We see how one little inflammatory statement cost people their jobs, are sued, are denounced etc (look at Don Imus back when he made the "nappy" joke, as example)but then we can have people do this and it is freedom of speech....

Our society is so weird.....lol

Hate Speech says you... You people just do not get it. Is it just your point of view that is not hate speech? Their point of view doesn't get their turn at the table of the 1st Amendment? What is the matter with you people?

What a bunch of cowards we have here.

Then what is your take on the sign that says.

Muhammad is a ... Liar, false prophet, murderer, child molesting pervert.

I would like to know your opinion about it.

Nope. The mob from both sides has ready-made answers before even knowing the context, instigator, situation and people involved.

They dont know whether the christians were peaceful counter-protestors or bullies. They dont know whether the muslims were doing a peaceful procession or a hate-march. They dont know who the fight was started by. And yet they've already made up their minds who is right, who is wrong and what to do.

"Condemnation without examination is the height of ignorance"

Not knowing the whole story I hereby abstain from judgement.

That's not quite antagonistic enough for a comparison. More like a few jews showed up holding up signs saying "HAHA We killed your fake savior"

That would be a fairer comparison I think.

It's not a peaceful protest. That sign is as good as a verbal insult. Bordering on hate speech.

Which should be still perfectly legal, hate speech is not a real crime anyway, just baseless modern mumbo jumbo, IMHO. The signs are insulting, but I have absolutely no understanding for anyone who cannot take an insult to their ideology. Sticks and stones, people!

If those christians wanted to portray muslims as a bunch of violent savages, then it is mission accomplished for them, regardless that their means to do so included acting like morons.

But lets be careful with judgements until more details are out, or other point of view...

So everyone here defending the Muslims is in favor of attacking any protest you don't agree with, right?

Hmmm...not defending Muslims, I think the Christian Evangelicals that go around protesting the funerals of US Soldiers with signs telling the family members that God hated thier son or daughter and they deserved to die etc. deserve a foot up thier ass too.

See...it's just odd that you equate folks calling calling "United West" what they are...a group that has been designated a Hate Group by the Southern Poverty Law Center....that somehow not seeing them as innocent "Christians" being "stoned" by "Muslims" is defending Muslims?

Is this where I am supposed to choose sides in "the comming race war"...or so the Skinhead flyer says.

Nope...United West are ignorant morons that showed up at a Family Muslim Festival with billboard sized signs calling Mohammed a Child-Molesting, Murdering Pervert...and then acted suprised folks got upset.

Funny those signs didn't make it into their propaganda video?

I don't need to convert to Islam to know these inbreds are idiots.

CHRISTIANS ?

Yeah right. More like fundamentalists carrying signs that were hostile to Arabs and then shooting it on video to say "Aww look at us. They attacked us because we're Christian"

NO ONE IS BUYING THAT STORY ! THIS AINT 1934

They attacked them because they were disrupting their festival with hate filled rhetoric and xenophobic material on the signs they were carrying.

Hate filled rhetoric and xenophobic material is still protected free speech in this country. Or is it? Is it only protected for Arabs, Homosexual Pedophiles and other rabid foaming at the mouth non-Christians? Your little rant is typical of the left.

If you read the post, which I recommend doing before replying, you'll see the post was about these people acting as if they were attacked for being Christian and trying to make it into "Muslims attacking Christians" scenario. Take it from a real Christian and a real American - those people are as Christian as Aleister Crowley.

Also, referring to that "little rant" as being "typical of the left" is, well, typical of false conservatives (I.e. Limbaugh/ Savage / Bush types.) "ranting" is gereally thought of as the nonsensical, pointless blather spilled out non-stop so that one's opinions can be spewed without the interruption of logical arguments. Making the point that this was not a "Christian" group (to which any true Christian would agree) is not a rant typical of the left, its just a bit of logical, obvious assessment of the situation.

You said and I quote "They attacked them because they were disrupting their festival with hate filled rhetoric and xenophobic material on the signs they were carrying"

That is your interpretation and you actually sound like you agree with it. Free Speech is reserved for your point of view only and again, it's typical of you leftist wackos.

I don't care what the message is. Say whatever you want on Government Property. Protest is healthy for America unless you are like most here and say these Christians should have been attacked. That is what I am reading here. The Arabs were right to attack and more often than not, the Christians always need to be executed according to most here at ATS.

You will love the Arabs until they start chopping your head off in the community square.

btw, I did read your post and people like you are destroying this nation with your suppression of open and free discussion. People like you and all those that think this attack was justified are the real threat to this country.

If those christians wanted to portray muslims as a bunch of violent savages,

That was my point a while back, once you resort to violence, you lose, now if they would have taken the high road they would have won,

It is a lose lose situation.

So when Comedy Central makes fun of Christians, it's hate speech? Those signs are directed towards one guy who lived thousands of years ago, not any single person or race.

I love how you finish with this. A racial attack based on stereotypes of poor, rural white people. I GUARANTEE the irony is lost on you.

Who the hell strolls into a Muslim festival carrying hate signs and yelling that Muslims are evil then whinges about those same Muslims fighting back? As far as I am concerned these Christians were lucky the Muslims didn't do anything worse to them, and even if they had I would say it was almost deserved.

If you walk into fire, expect to get burnt. You certainly don't whinge about it later.

Like I said before.
The crowd was not right to throw anything at the protesters and should be fully prosecuted under the law.

However looking at the context of how the protesters were protesting. I am of the opinion that these guys went in there to intentionally cause a conflict. They weren't asking for equal rights or anything like that. It was an intentional message of hate.

To me this is analogous to the KKK going to a black history month parade so that they can protest it.

And that's my 2 cents.

Have you ever been around sounthern fundamentalist baptist's?

I have, and trust me when I say that people would die.

Not all of them are prone to violent reactions, but we are talking an=bout hardcore bible bangers, speaking in tounges hardcore. So yes, in my opinion it would end badly if they took the same tone as the xtians at the Muslim festival.

Extremists exist in every religion.

Edit; Let's make a bet.

You go to the next SFB festival and act just like the dumbasses in the OP's video.

If you live I'll owe you an apology.
