But it is not so obvious to the masses. The reason NATO wants Islamist governments in Egypt and Syria is so that those governments will threaten Israel and then Israel can use those threats as an excuse to attack both countries for land grabs.

I have yet to see ANY Israeli politician claim the capital of another country as their own. Before you say they did that to Jerusalem, I'd remind you that it is called the "City of David" for a reason. Jerusalem was founded by Jews. It is theirs; period.

In the biblical texts, Jerusalem was older than the Israelite post-40-years-wandering-in-the-wilderness extravaganza. And, if memory serves me correctly, it was called Salem prior to said seizure...having been the chief city of "the Jebusites" - (think Homer Simpson - "Jebus save me").

Yeah and it has nothing to do with the bible predicting all of this thousands of years ago any person who reads the bible knew this would happen Damascus is next then Iran .

If we had a president who was arrested in his past for 7 months for protesting, we'd throw a shight fit.
The funnier thing is, if we had a person running against said ex-con, whom had a clean record, we'd cry foul.

I suspect further its because of your total lack of knowledge of history, and/or the history behind the conflict between the two....

Lets not forget, Israel has on more then one occasion tried to give back up to 90 percent of the land in attempted resolution, that was acquired in that conflict.......and they were turned down....

ALL of Israel is stolen land. Israel has no 'sovereign right' to it just because of the Bible. Israel is a Western puppet state and military base.
