I'm in I live in Pitt.

I'm in southern OK, and let me tell you it's been incredibly quiet down here. Too quiet in fact, it's strange. Last summer there were all sorts of strange rumblings, UFOs(not actual alien craft, but unidentified objects), and weird blasts/booms!

Wow, after doing some back reading I tend to agree with you. Uncanny how the early 90's reports of sonic booms and Bob Lazar's claim of a

"tremendous roar" which sounded almost as if "the sky was tearing."

are being reported almost en masse these days.

Tinker AFB OK is in the flight path and Whiteman AFB MO where the B2 is homed is smack dab in the middle.

dated 07 Jun 2012 about a sighting in Toronto, Canada, which would put it in the flight path also. Guy has pics, but the images are hard to discern; description matches:

box-shaped-like object with a single white light center

Thanks for the heads up the other night, Getreadyalready. I'm south of Norman/OKC and I've been keeping an eye out. Saw a satellite the other night. A few meteors, but nothing out of the ordinary. I can say I know there have been lots of strange sightings over the years around Tinker AFB in OKC and especially Vance AFB in Enid, OK. Lot's of rumors of High Strangeness there.

Recent events with Turkey/Syria are likely to mean this bird is flying again in the next couple of days. Flightpath appears to be A51 - Wright Pat (thinking this is for aborts) over the Great Lakes and then out over the Atlantic.

Also interested in hearing from anyone in Norway or Holland who hears anything unusual.

That's BS and you know it. My wife and I recently spotted crazy UFO's over the Lemoore, CA area. We grabbed her "Bloggie" and videotaped it. However, it was during the day, and during play back you cannot see anything. We even edited the footage and filtered the lighting, AND slowed it down and we managed to get only a half second glimmer of the wierdness in the sky which was clearly visible to the naked eye.

Smartphones and the like are notoriously craptastic cameras.

I have not read this thread but I think I can probably answer what this may have been. We had a Antanov 124 at the airport here in Tulsa for a bit and it left here late Thursday night I believe. Being Russian it would not have to abide by the same noise regulations and you can tell a difference in the way they sound. That is a HUGE plane and has a different tone that our jets. It may have had an escort, dont know for sure. I also dont know anything about its destination or flight plan. But given the proximity of Joplin and Tulsa and the date and time of your post I would venture a guess that you may have seen the Antonov. If anyone is curious as to what this beast looks like, and if anyone doesnt think this thing is massive look at all the tires and how small the guys look next to it. You can damn near put a two story house inside this thing. It almost looks comical sitting on the tarmac out here because it dwarfs the other planes.

WOW, I would have loved to seen that on the Tarmac! That would definitely explain the noise, and the size of it. Were there more than one of them in Tulsa? If 3 of these were headed somewhere together, and flying in formation, it would definitely explain what I saw, especially if they were lit up somehow like for an airshow or for security.

What was that thing doing in Tulsa?

Just one but it could have possibly had escort planes with it. It is here from time to time. Several overseas shipping companies own them and use them and as large as it is it can sit here for a week or two loading up and make one trip home and cover the expense. It is also sometimes carrying large oil field equipment from place to place and it even stops here just for crew rest and refueling. They are painted differently sometimes as well. This last one was here nearly a week sitting strait out to where everyone passing through TSA got a good look at it. It is frikken HUGE.. Here is an article from last year about it. I know, but no film. I'm hoping someone else in the flight path can grab them. I'd suspect they travelled just west of Miami, Oklahoma travelling WSW, and they should be apparent to anyone skywatching. I know we have people in Oklahoma City, they should be visible there soon enough!

With all the stuff I put on ATS, I'm surprised I haven't been contacted by DHS as a domestic threat, or fired from my own job for sharing too much information, or kicked out of the Masons, or invited to the NWO, or at least some kinky sex club. Damn, I'm an open book, where are all my repercussions and consequences? I'm starting to think all that stuff is just imaginary.
