The President never enjoyed a filibuster-proof majority, that's just a lie that you and every other crazy assed right winger would like to have us believe. You sir are the one who needs to be educated.
I fully understand the separation of powers and I know very well how the legislature works, you on the other hand seem to live in some make believe world where you make crap up to support your vision and then call them facts. You're not Rupert Murdoch are you?

You utilized filibuster-proof and I put it into quotes for a reason; if you don't understand why, than you can continue to think it the way you wanted to. But you can call me "crazy assed right wringer" all you want. Ironic -- I came calm and collective and you start spouting out that I am the "crazy assed"...

Then explain your views -- you went off on "majority" rules and "simple majorities" -- when the whole of the Federal Government is designed to not have carte blanche majority rule. In years where one party has a majority in seats or a House, the minority reigns strong to ensure that "majority" rule doesn't come about.
A filibuster is a type of parliamentary procedure where an individual extends debate, allowing a lone member to delay or entirely prevent a vote on a given proposal. It is commonly referred to as talking out a bill,[1] and characterized as a form of obstruction in a legislature or other decision-making body.

Hey there...take a deep breath. I.C.E. is "part" of the Dept of Homeland Security. The ABC article you reference most probably refers to the ICE chart I posted. I merely state that that chart shows an current estimate of 310,000 which I guess rounds to in your world 400,000.
You do realize that I.C.E. is the part of the Department of Homeland Security, right?
Hey...... I found a button, wonder who lost it?
Also if you take the claim of that number being more that twice the average of the Bush Era as they do in the article... it doesn't add up. The Bush Era average is 251,454.
The memo said that as of February 15, ICE was on track to deport 310,000, and outlined steps ICE would be taking in order to "meet or exceed" the goal of 400,000.

You are giving MSNBC a free ride IMO. Call em all the time if you are going to call them. MSNBC does things just as bad, if not worse, than Fox does. I know Fox does it, I also know MSNBC does it.

While you and I may think people don't actually get their news from a show such as Stewart's....never underestimate the American public.
A poll released earlier this year by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press found that 21 percent of people aged 18 to 29 cited "The Daily Show" and "Saturday Night Live" as a place where they regularly learned presidential campaign news.

Nearly one-third of Americans under the age of 40 say satirical news-oriented television programs like The Colbert Report and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart are taking the place of traditional news outlets.
Thirty-two percent (32%) of adults ages 30-39 believe this to be true, while 42% disagree, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.
Thirty percent (30%) of those ages 18-29 say programs like the two Comedy Central shows that feature news reports with a comic twist are replacing traditional news outlets, but 35% disagree and another 35% are not sure.

Yeah, well that was because of the fact that your use of the filibuster-proof quote is a bald faced lie. Obama never had one and for you to say that he did is just another "crazy-assed" lie.
“We have 60 votes on paper,” Senator Harry Reid, the majority leader, said Wednesday in an interview.

Jon Stewart Skewers Fox News For Using Edited Obama Video To Criticize Immigration Policy
When is he going to start 'skewering' MSNBC for selectively editing video to make Zimmerman look like a racist? When is he going to start 'skewering' MSNBC for selectively editing Rick Perry and Mitt Romney video? Jon Stewart is a funny guy, but he's partisan and not a news source. I wish he'd be balanced, then the show would be great.
Zimmerman is a racist! You don't have to watch MSNBC to figure that out, just listen to the 46 calls he made to 911 from 2004 up to the day of the shooting. They ooze with racism.

What Fox News has done is all that Fox News does, which is to lie, lie, lie...... They have gone to court to defend their right to do so! MSNBC does nothing of the kind and on the rare occasion when mistakes are made, they issue timely retractions, something that Fox News never does.
