I never said that you specifically hate all immigrants...read the title..."Some Americans"....words mean things.

And I also never talked about any specific group of immigrants...this applies to all immigrants....Hispanics, Asians, Europeans, Africans...they all have a drive and determination that most Americans don't have and will never understand.

It is you and others that are bring race into it...now you have to ask yourself why you are bringing race into it and why you are thinking "Mexicans" when I have been talking about "immigrants".

Yes hypocrisy is fun I am curious what percentage of US citizens have at least one discrepancy on their driving records. Reckless driving, DUI/DWI, speeding in a school zone, etc. US citizens disregard the law and put fellow citizens in danger constantly. How many US citizens routinely drive drunk? I know several people who do. There is plenty of evidence that drunk driving presents a real danger, yet I have not heard a peep from people demanding legislation to crack down on drunk driving.

Here are some stats:

The total number of murders in the US in 2010 was just under 13,000. Maybe illegal immigrants are responsible for all of those...?

1) You are never going to deport all the "illegals"
2) You aren't going to lock down the border.


And Americans can go get those jobs right now...nothing is stopping them. Don't try to tell me that they are being paid way less...because you just made a huge argument that they commit all this fraud to have all the proper documentation for the employer...if that's the case...the employer isn't paying them under the table and they aren't paying them a cut rate.

So...why aren't the Americans getting the jobs...can they not compete???

America also encompasses a multitude of Nations also identified via their physical borders, many of them ... so, if not her borders, then what "defines" America ??

if not by recognition of the borders, how do you identify America on a map ??
how can you determine if you are located in North or South America if you do not consider their borders ??

Unless they are living on the streeet...they pay property taxes...if they are renting, the landlord uses part of their rent for property taxes.

And for the insurance...that is a choice you are making...you don't need a car....and you can use the free clinics and ERs just like "illegals" do. It's really crappy healthcare...but you seem to think "illegals" have it so good...maybe you should drop your health insurance and give it a try.

You are trying to tell me my own eyes deceived me when a fellow coworker of mine showed me his paycheck with no taxes taken out? I guess the employer was in on the joke too because I saw him hand them out to us and he must have just switched it.....

As for the property tax, most of the time their babies moms are on section 8 housing and paying 20 dollars a month rent and if that's not the case they are living with a bunch of family members... Again first hand eye witness accounts, don't believe me if you want I really don't care what you want to believe because I will believe my eyes before you......

This "free" healthcare you speak of, where is the money coming from to pay the doctors and nurses? Who is paying for the machines to run there? Money doesn't drop out of thin air does it? You can't sit there and deny the fact that someone has to foot the bill....

If you are considered a traitor or server in a foreign military and fight against the US...you can have your citizenship revoked...but it isn't due to "crime".

they've broken the laws and should be punished accordingly, not granted a "stay".

I assume you are talking about Obama's new policy. The people benefiting from that have committed no crime...I'll let you figure out why that is true.

Well employers wrote the law and influence congress to pass them so that they can make higher profits.. They are above the law unfortunately so this is why it has to be stopped at the individual level

You are going to excuse the people hiring them and paying them illegally low wages...and you are going to place all the blame on those trying for a better life for themselves and their family.

You aren't going to stop it at the individual level...it is a dumb approach...it's like trying to arrest all the drug users to stop the drug dealers.

Your hate seems to run so deep that you are willing to ignore the core of the problem just to continue to hate a group of people wanting a better life.

What are you talking about??? I worked in a warehouse with a ton of illegals and I talked with a younger kid working there and he told me exactly how everything worked, so this is first hand knowledge I didn't just make this stuff up......

Sure we got paychecks and there was barely any taxes out at all, I saw it with my own eyes! They might have paid taxes on Social Security by using a fake number, again this is fraud and illegal also, they already jumped the border, why stop at breaking just one law????

1. illegal immigration is definitely bad, not only does it drain resources for the otherwise highly trained and desirable legal immigrant, it also sends the wrong message by rewarding those who break the law.
it's common to see many biographies about successful individuals who proudly say that his/her parents jumped the fence and through hard work he/she achieved success. I understand some would be proud of the fact that their parents jumped the fence because it shows how they started from the very low and achieved success. However, you are still overlooking the fact that to achieve that success, laws were broken. This is definitely not a message any government or society should ever want to spread.

So let's fix it...let's make it very easy for those that want to come here to work to get into the country legally. Show up at the border...sign your name...get your tax id, work permit, and residency card.

Then give employers very harsh penalties for hiring anyone without a valid SSN that they have to verify, or a valid work permit.

Problem solved...no one will want to come here illegally anymore.

2. political correctness is ruining the common sense. To me it's just absurd that illegal immigrants get social benefits. Sometimes it seems that it would be better for me if I stopped paying my 40k a year tuition and just become an illegal immigrant, I haven't done that because of my professional goals but it just shows you how broken the system is.
I remember seeing somewhere an article about the "this is america, speak English" signs in restaurants. I admit that it is of poor taste to hang them on public businesses like restaurants but what really struck me was that the article and comments below were all very quick to call the shop owners racist, biggots, rednecks etc. etc.
last time I checked english is the official language here and I really don't see anything wrong with wanting to keep it that way, which takes me to my third point.

Oh hey, OS, by the way, my grandmother, her sister, brother, mother and father were all immigrants from Germany. Her father migrated to Germany from the Netherlands. They came here during WWII to get away from Nazi Germany. Guess what? THEY DID IT LEGALLY. If you want to live here, DO IT LEGALLY and we won't have a problem.
