Soo true.
I personally think the culprit is facebook and stuff like that. Its possible that ATS is being a victim of its popularity.
I've been around since 06' and this board was crowded will great, insightful mind. If you had nothing to bring to the table, you just didnt post at
this time. The community was smaller, too.
Now, just a few of them had the resilience to stay, unfortunately. /sigh
And meanwhile we get 10 threads a day that pretend we are getting invaded by socialist.

The big picture is that the very atmosphere is being turned into the likes of that inside of a casino. If you take money from your pocket, to count
it, you can be sure someone else just counted it as well. Anytime, anywhere, so long as you're outdoors, or near a window.
You're talking of the Golden Age, here, when impulses were somewhat governed, when awesome wireless devices were less common, and thought provoking
subjects were just that: thought provoking subjects. There wasn't any tweeting or other forms of electronic drool going on. You could watch it
literally unfold, the degradation of concentration, and content, in lockstep to the ease of ability to get on line and interact, so to speak.
Add to the mix the fact that Charles Manson owns the world media, and is still bent on diversionary race war tactics (you saw the color wheel spin as
soon as the media paraded obama in our face), in order to clean up after the fighting, and dominate the world, just like when he was a young shirtless
DJ, back in the hills. I am not speaking figuratively.
My God....if you think ats is the only place affected, then I suggest you observe craigslist. Racist bots working overtime, and the management seems
powerless to filter them out. Remember....Charles (Manson) is very much In Charge, and he wants us to fight each other. So much for thought provoking
topics. If I even visualize the lavender hues of craigslist, now, I go almost dumb.
I erase a lot of my unsent words, lately, and not just here. It's important to have a good reason to speak, before speaking, so that your words carry
some value in passing. Otherwise, it's just a room full of people who like to hear the sound of their own voices. I could have had silence, maybe
heard something new, but instead I laid out 200 posts today... Well, if that means I incurred no opportunity costs by doing so, it can mean one of two
things. If there's one thing I learned in Nam
