You are kidding yourself. The GOP needs a black underclass because the key to GOP electoral success lies in getting dumb whites to vote against their interests. Just like the confederate soldiers, GOP supporters are fed a false sense of superiority and a scapegoat to hate. "I may be poor, but I ain't THAT poor," and "look at that n----- mama poppin' out babies to get her welfare check."

That makes no sense.

How is the GOP in need of a black underclass? If you look at history, which you have not, the GOP was the anti-slave party, the party who held the ONLY black representatives in congress, disbanned the KKK, and proposed Civil Rights. The GOP does not want to see anyone on lifelong welfare, and instead promotes individual responsibility.

Axslinger is correct: the Democratic Party funded and formed the KKK- a secret terrorist organization created in order to keep the status quo:

"If the n-s are gonna vote at all, they better vote Democratic" -KKK, funded by the Democratic Party upon the passing of the 15th Amendment

So I take it that I'm not going to be seeing any more TV footage of black women hugging each other and crying, if Obama gets a second term, like they did when he got his first one?

Or perhaps they will still hug each other and cry, but simply for different reasons, this time.

I applaud you and am proud to call you one of my countrymen (country-person, I guess).

One of my best friends is black. I'm in my 40's and he's in his 50's. We share a weird sense of humor, a love of our local sports teams, and a love of space history.

However, when it comes to politics, this is where our conversations break down. I've become convinced through my relationship with him and others that being a democrat or voting for anyone BUT the GOP is as indoctrinated as religion in the black community. He refuses to believe that MLK was a Republican, as you point out. While he admits he was better off during the Reagan years and even the first 6 years of the Bush administration (and that hes' having to work two jobs now just to make ends meet) that any Republican is a good for the country, the state, or his county (all the while our Governor calls a special session because his huge spending and tax bill wasn't passed). But when I press him for answers or facts to back up his political views, he just shakes his head. It's like if he were to admit that perhaps Romney would be better than 4 more years of Obama, that he would be a traitor to his race. (I'm sort of leaning that way - I think Obama will be dangerous without having to worry about being re-elected).

Many East-Coast cities are now predominately black and heavily democratic - but what you see are broke/broken communities. High unemployment, high crime, high taxes, and no answers. It's not working out for them yet they can't admit it. It is both frustrating and sad.

Obama who is really only half-black - is all black to most black people. Yet Condy Rice, who is 100% black, wasn't really "one of them" because she is Republican. Backward logic.

I can only hope more people like you (black, white, or pink polka dotted) open their eyes more and do the same sort of research and self-evaluation that you did. That people like Sharpton and Jesse actually make their living off of inciting distrust and hatred for white people and doing so completely out in the open speaks to the level of reconsideration many blacks need to act on.

I also think if I were my friends age that I would be really angry at the 18-25 year old black population. The blacks of the 60's put their lives on the line for their rights and these kids are in sad shape. If you don't act a certain way, talk a certain way, you ain't keepin it real. That's real stupid. They are raised by Mom or Grandmom (Dad is out making babies with other women), given ridiculous names (nothing to do with either Africa or America), and handed over to the school system and government in general to be raised. This generation has taken two steps backward and I can't understand why their grandparents, who did fight for their rights, aren't kicking some ass.

If this isn't merely a thread about switching teams because of perceived slights, let this begin to educate you further on the transformations of the modern day GOP and Democrats.

en.wikipedia.org...

Remember, this is a beginning to you research and shouldn't be the end.

I don't understand the clinging to these two political parties. They are both garbage.

Bottom line is that a strong economy producing a bunch of rich people is better overall, even for the poor. Liberals dont see this because they take on a victim-perspective. They think that becoming rich means one would have to take money away from the collective. Republicans, on the other hand, think that by providing/selling goods and services to the collective one becomes rich. While there is certainly merit to a number of liberal policies, fiscal wisdom certainly isnt one of them. Nice post btw.

actually.. it's all good.. but for those who visit history they realize that it is unsustainable indefinitely. in other words how long do you think an absolute welfare system of ppl who dont work and contribute to society or go to college to further their education will last? with a growing number of participants wishing to join the welfare program and get free housing, free food and clothes and free healthcare. how many ppl can be sustained with that? what is the limit? say everyone in the working class dropped out and went on welfare. can the rich business owners pay enough taxes without a workforce?

somehow it's a trap. too many ppl on welfare will drain the economy and the society. it might take a while because USA got alot of imaginary money. but at some point as you cross the 50% line. things are going to get problematic. credit rating cuts leading to the devaluing of the currency on the currency exchange market. the point is you need working citizens to contribute to society for the economic development of a country.

what's going to happen when the economy crashes?

ALL of it halts! there's no jobs, there's no banks and all the savings in those banks by hardworking ppl is lost as well as any companies who had their savings in the banks. noone gets paid so it all becomes a voluntary thing until everything can be sorted out. with chaos and looting etc you can expect the cops to most consider spending time protecting their own families rather than going to work. the military may be issued to assist in keeping order. deepending on how bad things get martial law is implemented to the point where a 'smart' leader will issue kill orders for those caught involved in unruly behaviour. if the military follows those orders it will be to kill some to set an example of why everyone should stay obeying the law.

Grocers may close their shops. trading is halted because there is no currency. except for those who have valuable electronics, food, water and precious metals. shipping lines may be halted for food etc. the reason why the grocer closes and decides to secure his stored food for his family before the looters come and take it.

This is the sort of thing america is heading towards with welfare. Everyone cant go on welfare. but to some who are working their buts off and can barely pay their bills having gone to college etc. it IS an enticement because you see all the lazy ppl from your school who ditched class and went chasing girls now have a better home than you, theyre never worried about their bills, they got food and everything else they need and they dont have to do a damn thing to get it all.

just wait till your kids start saying.. "MOM im dropping out of school and planning to live on government welfare". when they look at you and your husband arguing about bills and in their friends' 'welfare home' everything is beautiful and new and they seem so peaceful and happy with all the time in the world to spend with their family and kids having fun.

I'm no expert. but to me 1+1=2. and these all seem as very logical occurrences. you'll have to look up hitler's history of welfare and 'FREE healthcare'. In fact the free healthcare was the icing on the cake that lead to euthanasia of old ppl and children with genetic or other defects to keep costs down. the killing of soldiers injured in battle etc.

why? because they cant sustain free healthcare for ppl who need it. it becomes a false face that advertises free healthcare. but when you get sick.. THEY KILL YOU!

How's that for free healthcare? All your problems are solve... no?

How many times are you going to state that you are a black woman? 100x in this thread already? You're not convincing me.

No black woman would laugh at the racist tea party joke, like you did, on page 2 of this thread. Plus your OP reads like a bad propagandized infomercial script.

“A black kid asks his mom, ‘Mama, what’s a democracy?’

“‘Well, son, that be when white folks work every day so us po’ folks can get all our benefits.’

“‘But mama, don’t the white folk get mad about that?’

“‘They sho do, son. They sho do. And that’s called racism.’”

Marler claims that she will no longer use the joke to begin her speeches.

The joke comes at the most inopportune time for the Tea Party, which has been denying that their followers are racist.

Anyone conned by this Buttercookie post, is just pandering to their own confirmation bias. Hearing these sorts of infiltration posts disgusts me. Agree, this post is a fake and so many people are getting tricked by this OP. But for all we know, half of them are probably sitting at the desk next to her/him.

This is getting hilarious now....

Can you tell me why I just simply cannot have the point of views that I have stated? Seriously, explain why.

Also, I'd rather much debate you with the content of my posts than if I am a 'real' person. I've been registered and been posting to this site since 09...

Maybe you cannot refute the claims I am making on the parties, so the next best thing is to attack my character and attempt to derail...

Clever move!!

At the onset of the Tea Party movement, inwhich I participated, I never had a single issue with the folks that I worked with.

I am an officer.
College educated.
Father.
Husband.

Yet it was the "liberals" that had the greatest issue, simply because there was a higher melanin count in my dermal cells.

When a person can't debate/focus on the issues, they'll focus-default on colour.

Stick to your guns ma'am.

PART 1)

Such is the swing of the political pendulum which will eventually cut America asunder. Every 4 years it swings to the Republican side and cuts a deep cut and angers the American people and the world alike. 4 more years and it swings back in the other direction because the party that took over and made the promise of a better tomorrow, lied and did worse than the last part. The Pendulum now swings back again and makes a deep cut, and wala...the Republican's her here to save us from the Democrats THIS 4 years. I don't think I need to mention what happens next.

The very definition of insanity by Albert Einstein "insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results"
America has been insane for quite some generations.
The proper response at this point is NOT to move to the Republican party but to just move out of the game.

Just pull out of the game, stop voting on Presidents that we know are going to be "placed" in their positions to fulfill the dark wills of the International Bankers, the Rockefeller's and the Rothschild's families who's only goal is the enslavement of, not only America, but the whole world. Their arrogance and hubris knows no boundaries and the devil on their shoulder tells them that they are better than all of mankind and deserve this entitlement of ruthless kings....and they think that we WANT them as our masters! Can you believe the absurdity?
Yet, they will die (of old age or by vices of time) like the rest of us, and be judged harshly by GOD. We, the used and abused will tower over their stature at that time and they will beg for mercy, mercy that they will not receive, as they didn't show mercy in their day of profitability.

"We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected the promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world-government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the National auto determination practiced in past centuries"--David Rockefeller in an address to a Trilateral Commission meeting in June of 1991

So the next time you vote or think your vote matters...think again.
The next time your eyes are fixed on your enemy (Democrat or Republican, which is actually nothing but a system of divide and conquer that works well),......check your six and your peripheral vision, the international bankers are destroying everything and everyone you love there as you squabble over issues that mean nothing to them.

And I will leave you with the words to represent the bankers themselves. The Bankers Manifesto of 1892: Their Creed and Plan for conquering the world.

Part 2

The Bankers Manifesto of 1892
The Father and his more famous son.

Revealed by US Congressman Charles A. Lindbergh, SR from Minnesota before the US Congress sometime during his term of office between the years of 1907 and 1917 to warn the citizens.

"We (the bankers) must proceed with caution and guard every move made, for the lower order of people are already showing signs of restless commotion. Prudence will therefore show a policy of apparently yielding to the popular will until our plans are so far consummated that we can declare our designs without fear of any organized resistance.

The Farmers Alliance and Knights of Labor organizations in the United States should be carefully watched by our trusted men, and we must take immediate steps to control these organizations in our interest or disrupt them.

At the coming Omaha Convention to be held July 4th (1892), our men must attend and direct its movement, or else there will be set on foot such antagonism to our designs as may require force to overcome. This at the present time would be premature. We are not yet ready for such a crisis. Capital must protect itself in every possible manner through combination (conspiracy) and legislation.

The courts must be called to our aid, debts must be collected, bonds and mortgages foreclosed as rapidly as possible.

When through the process of the law, the common people have lost their homes, they will be more tractable and easily governed through the influence of the strong arm of the government applied to a central power of imperial wealth under the control of the leading financiers. People without homes will not quarrel with their leaders.

History repeats itself in regular cycles. This truth is well known among our principal men who are engaged in forming an imperialism of the world. While they are doing this, the people must be kept in a state of political antagonism.

The question of tariff reform must be urged through the organization known as the Democratic Party, and the question of protection with the reciprocity must be forced to view through the Republican Party.

By thus dividing voters, we can get them to expand their energies in fighting over questions of no importance to us, except as teachers to the common herd. Thus, by discrete action, we can secure all that has been so generously planned and successfully accomplished."

Just because the republican party supported blacks decades ago doesn't mean they cannot be held to account for their policies and philosophies that they hold today. As the election campaign kicks into high gear we will see more and more subtle (and not so subtle) racist attacks and policies come from the Romney team.

Remember the hate rallies that dominated that McCain-Palin campaign? I fear those will pale in comparison to what is about to come. Any thought that Romney will help the black community or ease any race tentions in America is delusional.

All that being said, Obama has a deplorable record when it comes to African Americans. He has not addressed the blatant racism which exists in the American judicial system at all. I find it difficult to despise him as much as I do Romney, but deep down I know both are corporatist political machines who's main goal is to perpetuate the current system.
