Well MY view on most race related bigotry is this, most people are insecure towards themselves and are unable to understand what or why they tend to feel in such a way, they lash outward and many times target certain groups.

Anger outward is rage and anger sideways is humility, and anger inward is depression.

or as Lau Tze said: Inside all of us there are two tigers fighting: One is the tiger of hate and anger, sadness and loneliness and the other tiger is one of Hope and happiness, friendship and fulfillment.

Which tiger will win?

The one you feed.

Idiots such as the kind you just described are NOT representative of me, just as white supremists are NOT representative of most white people. Why the hell is that so hard to grasp???

You're making an assumption about what color I am.

What would you call that?

Waittttt a minute.

Im a minority.

I experiance racism almost everyday.

How by my experiancing racism am i being a racist?

Other than a firm understanding that some people dont like me to much because of my skin color. I have not treated anyone indifferent.

I treat everyone as a respectable human being. However one that person identifies him/herself as a racist, i distance myself asap.

Does that make me racist?

Your color is of no importance to me. But your character, based on YOUR words, is questionable sir.

Not really fair, but then life isn't fair, is it?

As I stated, I treat everyone equally despite my faults.

So that makes you judgmental.

I rest my case.

But that is my point. I dont have a problem with any certain race and I dont judge people by their race. However if the racism is going to stop idiots that perpetuate stereotypes need to be stopped. It has to start at home. Kids cannot be raised to think that white people are all oppressors or that they are owed something in life because their great ancestors were slaves. It has to stop somewhere and that is my point. It continues because people live up to the stereotype therefore making it easy to stereotype people. Somewhere along the way someone has to break the mold.

Everyone is judemental to a degree. I judge people by their words and deeds. If that makes me judgemental, guilty as charged.

Agreed.

What is racism but a judgment about character based on a false assumption?

I wouldn't say that all Americans are racist. I would say that EVERYONE (not just Americans) is prejudiced against something to one degree or another. Being prejudiced or holding certain stereotypes is not the same as being racist (thinking that one race is superior to another). Although I will say that nationalism is a form of racism.

how does that "brilliant" scholar assess the fact that most blacks voted against the white candidate, or does that not fit his neat little "only whites can be racist" world view.

Do people seriously get paid for studies like this? EASY MONEY!!!!!

I'm black, and I didn't and will never vote for O...sooo, what does that make me? He's done a crappy job IMO, so get over the myth that all of us drink the O kool aid.

Your right and it bring up a good point. I know what they'd call you, but I refuse to use the term here out of respect and I think you know the term I'm think of.
Like I said, is this the best they can come up with for obama? Not his lousy record but this? Really? I'm sick of the whole damn race garbage, whats wrong with voting for the best qualified.

Shakes polo's hand.

You see, I'm a racist, but I recognize it's wrong and I can be polite to you because it is the RIGHT thing to do.

The fun part to me? Any random person typically called a racist for the more overt reasons: like whites looking at blacks with disdain, dropping the "N" word with disgust? Most of them, if I get them to articulate exactly WHY they are disgusted and upset, it has nothing to do with the skin color, but is all about the culture. These same people will have black friends whom they view as family--to the point of loyalty like family. Their disgust runs to those specifically that will not work--they don't care about the skin color, all of them are the "N" word. Occasionally, you'll see the same angst against their own "kind" over it.

But on the other hand, it's not just false assumptions...sometimes it's based strictly on the hue of my skin. Whether I'm an executive or a thug, some would be racist regardless.
