Really sad. They don't spare the children. War. Remember the Redcoats? The British would stand together, load their muskets and fire. Basically, War was a thing where men would face off from each other and then charge. Then in WWI, with the invention of the airplane or actually the bi-plane, along with the use of dirigibles, terror was employed against the civilian populations by use of dropping explosives. Then in WWII, Genocide became a reality. Now this is on a downward slope. These animals are targetting each other's children. At least, the Assads are. They are attacking the children with knives and small arms after employing the tanks and mortars. It's junk and it's disgusting! Nobody should go in there. They should drop phones so we can see better what's going on and who is telling the truth.

That didn't take long..

Meanwhile, people are dying...

Did I call it or what?

Quick! Pretend like you give a # about these people while you further your little MIC campaign!

More faked news?

We have no idea if these people are telling the truth or lying. After CNN was caught using actors to fake "massacres" in order to Wag the Dog and then NBC was caught doctoring Zimmerman's tapes in the Trayvon case, i will never believe anything they say. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Pointless discussing Syria on ATS, the majority are deluded about who is guilty of slaughter there.

They'll bend over backwards to convince themselves that it's all part of some grand US conspiracy.

Somehow they think that because the US has acted to destabilize a few nations around the world, that excuses the Assad regime when slaughtering their own people.

i'm almost convinced you said the exact same thing about Libya, only it turned out all the conspiracists were actually right

I'm willing to discuss it out in the open --------> HERE

What has your stance been on the people being slaughtered?

A deafening silence

Oh yes, clearly I don't "care" about the people of Syria because I refuse to take a non-interventionist stance in regards to NATO, or via military superpower, like others in this thread. Excuse me if I withhold doubts in light of the half-dozen other examples of the past decade why this has been a bad idea, and continues to be bad as we speak.

But who gives a toss about those people either right, let's just feign sympathy for the new people so we can get on with the next conquest. Throw in more puppet dictators that are no better than the last, then move on to the next "atrocity", and pretend like the massacres stopped... which they won't and have not.

This is all about conquest. It's not about the people of Syria. Don't make me f-ing laugh dude, I prefer to get my jokes from professional comedians.

Yea, wow.. look at all the #s you give about the Syrian people.

Clearly you do.

Did it ever occur to you miserable bastards that the people advocating for less intrusion into the matter are actually more concerned about the Syrian people than you are (or claim to be for that matter)?

Hey Slayer, look! Source battle begins!

Its getting sillier and sillier day by day on ATS with same old threads except different authors and same anti-us rhetorics but not many are willing to evaluate the other players involved in the region including syria itself. There are always 2 sides to a coin and multiple sides to a story. I have seen politicians making statements 'cannot let a crisis go to waste' not just in US but all over the world. I wouldn't be surprised a bit if Assad is also capitalizing on this particular crisis and opportunity to strengthen his position in syria while blaming everything he does (not literally but approval of actions against the rebels and/or civilians) on the West. Ofcourse whoever provides the tactical and equipment support is their friend

The sad reality is that there isn't a single group or entity or outlet that we can trust. Only thing we can trust is either the syrians post/twit pictures/news about the region or we personally visit syria. Where do we draw the line as per which news media is portraying the truth? Skepticism has no limits at times.

You have a right to disagree with members stances and post your opinion why you do and I know emotions run high on certain topics, given that, there is no excuse to act all childishly butt hurt and start name calling.

The way I see it is. What religion are these dead people? Lets remember that its a sunni rebellion. So if the dead are sunni then its the other side that did this. Same thing if the dead are shia, then its the sunni who are to blame.
Add into this mix the west and its alCIAda gang. Terrorists working for democracy.
Its a complete mess.

Seriously, you guys are retarded for going back and forth with this guy for 5 pages. Like, how more obvious can it be that he's going to side with anyone who is against the west, even when the arguments themselves defy all logic.
Such an awful waste of time.

I agree

Not just this thread but pretty much any thread where his rhetoric is anti-us

I think many individuals work in pairs on multiple threads. Especially if it suits their anti-West thinking. I wonder how much good they do by thinking they're 'standing up for the truth' on these threads.

I'm sure every group on the planet has someone in Syria right now.

Your logic fails to account for the "friendly fire" deaths of their own side being considered martyrs for a cause. If they kill their "own," they can tell themselves that those people will be rewarded for their sacrifice.

No, I guess not. Let's just make jokes, let our buddies make jokes.. and while continuing to not discuss the topic, lament the others for calling you on your hypocritical BS. After all, you called me a hypocrite... but oh, that's right, you skirted the T&C by hiding it under a link.

So, against your initial charge calling me a hypocrite, I told you what my response was to your "deafening silence" claim. Yet you haven't followed up on it, giving me the impression you don't want to discuss anything at all.
