Examples? Well, without violating Godwin's Law, I can name the conservatives who burn abortion clinics, Joe McCarthy, the Ohio National Guard (Kent State shootings) and George Bush.

1) abortion clinic violence is a myth. most such incidens were accidents or insurance frauds. like the phony black church burnings, the liberal media saw a conservative boogeyman that wasn't there.
2) McCarthy led a crusade against commnist spies who really existed and really had connections in the State department.
3) Ohio NG defended itself against rock-throwing terrorists who refused to obey lawful order to stand down. if a bunch of drug-crazed brick-throwing thugs confronted you, you might well do the same.
4) George Bush succesfully led fight against terror. the democrat congress supported his every move.
