the fact of the matter is that MSM offered their viewers a glimpse of Ron Pauls campaign, something they havent done. I see this as a win for the great Dr.

Yep,, thats what I saw, they said he wanted to cut defense,,, NOT TRUE..
Most of those things people think would be alarming to cut.. If they would listen to his reason , They would agree 100% with him !!
MSM just portrays his ideas as crazy..

Its OK , WE Know the truth!

I saw that more as a hit piece on him personally. That was not actually very flattering and at the end she says RP supporters think he is what the country needs.

That's how I read into it.. she seemed to emphasize how many jobs would be lost, and pointed out that economists suggest it would put us back into recession.... She didn't say SHE believed this is the "Jolt America Needs" .. if I heard her right she said "they believe" .. as in the Ron Paul camp / supporters ..

I'm all for Ron .. but I can't say this really seemed like CNN was showing support.. quite the opposite, just with a friendly tone.

I don't know if ANY of you have noticed this, but Romney has way more supporters than Ron Paul ever had.

Romney's got it in the bag. Quit worshiping this guy and prepare yourselves for a two month binge at the bars. I'm guessing that's where you're headed after your personal choice for "king of the hill" loses, anyway. Besides, if anyway of you really knew what was needed for this country, I'm betting you wouldn't be on a concpiracy site.

I'm sick of the RP worship. Romney's winning. Get over it.

He has my vote already. Now if we could find more Senators and Congressmen like hime, we may have a chance to save our country.

We got one Rand Paul
the son of Ron Paul

he is following the steps of his father

And the Illinois state representative that went bat# crazy because of Obama's and the Speaker of the House's policies. People are waking up, and it won't be long now before our entire government is dominated by people like Ron and Rand Paul.

Paulbots remind me of Twihards trying to convince us that Twilight is great art.

Ron Paul is utterly and totally irrelevant. he is meaningless.

To most CNN viewers that piece was an affirmation that Ron Paul is nuts. They LOVE big government and ADORE paying taxes so they'd hear all that pure kookery where I hear sound policy.

What would you do if you owned a network and you had 12 viewers left? Maybe you'd think about peddling truth and giving your customers what they want? Like other businesses do to stay competitive?

Unfortunately, as refreshing as that video was, I think it's a little too late for CNN. They showed their hand a long time ago and nobody wants to play their propaganda game any more.

CNN's ratings have been in the toilet lately, maybe siding with Ron Paul is a desperate attempt to squash alternative media and resurect lost viewers.

It's too late for me. I disabled all the MSM news sources from my satellite programming awhile back.

When I want news, I go look for it myself...I'm still subject to biased news, but if you are watching
a YouTube vid shot live at the scene it is, for me, much better than a biased MSM media-byte
and subsequent commentary.

.....I never was one of those cats who could be told what to think, or how I should feel about
something.Never really factored in anyone else's (or popular) opinion when forming my own opinion....

It is to the point now that when I am exposed to MSM news sources I am INSTANTLY untrusting and
unmoved. In fact most of the time I assume that opposite of what is being reported is probably the
truth and start my own research from that bias...

ETA to add...

A good example of this is the how the MSM reported that (Ron Paul supporters) were arrested
in Louisiana because of their disruptions.

The actual story should have read that when Ron Paul supporters (who comprised the majority of
those in attendance) elected their recognized chairperson, the established GOP pundits who
(comprised the minority of those in attendance) called the police and had the recognized majority
chairperson evicted, not once, but twice. The majority did prevail in the end by turning their backs
on the established GOP minority and conducting their business with the majority quorum.

Rival, I hear you loud and clear. I used to monitor the bs coming from the msm a few months ago. Now the lies are so outrageous, that I have not watched since February. Never again can I stomach another talking head, however I have used it as an example to my kids, to take spin, look at it objectively and come to conclusions. Other then that I will never watch again, CNN may attempt to pander to Pauls people, but we see through it.

I agree completely with your last statement, I couldn't of put it better, but we can't expect that from them. When Luke Rudkowski (sp?) interviewed Larry O'Donnell he said, very accurately "we are too lazy" .

Word.

I think a lot of them see it. They are just too proud to come out and say it. They would rather keep in the crooks -just so they can keep getting screwed over. Why?

Does everyone here realize that no matter what Ron paul stands for, he would never get anything accomplished. Anything radical will be blocked. As much as I like him, our country is a lost cause. We need a bunch like him in the house and senate to get anywhere.

The whole CNN piece was nothing more than a 'backhanded compliment' of RP, if you will.

As much as I like RP and would vote for him in an instant should he get the nomination, we all know that its not going to happen. After thinking it through and discussing this with a few friends, all of whom are RP supporters BTW, I've decided that rather then cast my vote into a void by writing in RP, I will go with what I consider the lesser of two evils THIS election. I, and my friends, will be voting for Romney.

This isn't to say that I like Romney but Obama will utterly destroy this country given another four years, especially since he would no longer need to worry about future elections. Its already clear he is willing to rule thru executive orders, think about what he will be willing to do this time around. The racism and hypocrisy emanating from Washington is more than enough to turn me off to Democrat policy for the next 20 years.

It is patently clear that RP is NOT going to get the nomination, ever. To many powerful people have done to much damage to him in the court of public opinion. Is it fair? No. Is it true? Yes.

So what now? Ben81 figured it out. Rand Paul. Build the ground support for him know, start bringing him to the attention of those who don't know him. If RP really does care about this country (yes, I know he truly does) then he would happily stand aside if his son could succeed where Ron has fallen short. Ron has built the platform and the stage, he has laid the groundwork. Now we need to put someone on that stage who hasn't been smeared and made out to be a kook for thirty years. Rand Paul has the same values as his father, the same love for our country, and the same desire to make this America into the world leading country it once was.

Lets make Romney a place holder until we can get Rand in office. If we get enough people in the house and senate we can at the very least limit the damage Romney can do. Too many people seem to think that if RP is going to make this HUGE difference when he gets in. He's not. Unless he has what the dems had, ideological majorities in the house and senate. Romney probably will have a party majority but hopefully enough Tea Party candidates will get in to muck up anything that runs contrary to the people. I do have to ask though, if RP and the TP have the same basic values, why are so many RP supporters so disdainful of the Tea Party?

peace.

Well, I would hope that Ron Paul would not use his veto powers to manipulate. And yes he can also veto the trash. But to get what is best for the country, what other choices would he have? Then we will be right back to pork barrels. Which is what screwed up this country in the first place. You shouldn't have to pay for pet projects to get something done.

Compared to the amount of money spent on war, pork and earmark spending is meaningless
and inconsequential...

The American taxpayers spend over 700 million dollars A DAY to support war in Iraq.

700 MILLION DOLLARS A DAY....to fight a country that NEVER attacked us....DID NOT possess WMD's
....DID NOT harbor, or aid, ANY 9/11 terrorists...and had NOTHING TO DO with Osama Bin Laden

3.7 TRILLION DOLLARS spent so far in the last ten years...and to accomplish what??

To capture and kill TWO MEN, Osama and Hussein....3.7 TRILLION dollars. That makes those two
men the most expensive two men in the entire HISTORY of mankind....and America taxpayers footed
the bill....

Ron Paul will stop the warring and killing and senseless spending as Commander in Chief, immediately

And the VETO pen in the hands of Ron Paul would literally STOP further laws, like NDAA, from ever
seeing the light of day.

He will stop any unconstitutional law. He would go to war when congress declares war. He will cut
ridiculous spending....he can AND WILL do GREAT GOOD from day one.
