Cats as Alien spies?

In my experience they do have a difficult time with loss of a loved one. My sister used to have a cat named Tish that was totally in love with my father, she would just purr and purr and love him up. Just before my dad passed away he spent a week in the hospital, she was young and healthy and fine the whole time...up until the night he died. That night when we came home from the hospital I found her laying in a still damp spot in the bathtub like she was depressed. I picked her up and held her and in less than 1/2 hour she was gone. I myself was very sick back in 2008 and hospitalized a number of times...at that time I had a beautiful calico named ginger...she was devoted to me and my booboo kitty. Each time I was hospitalized I came home to find her sick. In November that year I spent a week in ICU, was out for 3 days and back in again for the next 4. She was very mopy when I came home and a few days later she just gave up on me...I held her as she died and it broke my heart.

Lol at the title of this thread I can't even read it. If there were alien spies why would they be as big as a cat? I would think they would be something really small that can fly around like a fly or something.

Not all of them are spies, but a few are.
Now how can you think something so cute is spying on you and is up to no good.

Just look at the cute kitty, does it look mischievous to you.

Egyptians worshiped cats because they killed mice that ate the stored grain. They were necessary for survival.

and they get to interact with us....when THEY feel like it of course

I didnt actually know that ATS had these types of posts before posting it, It was like 1:30 am and I thought, "what if" and wanted to see what others would think. I admit, I had a few "adult beverages" before hand.

I joined this site 5 days ago, and have some catching up to do.

I have to admit that I am shocked by how many people are aggravated, and also how many people think there may be something to this, perhaps we are all just playing devils advocate.

Either way, I am happy to have read all the replies thus far, and have learned from the posters, thank you everyone who has contributed fact, and funnies, they do good for everyone.

If we cant laugh, then what do we have, but a sad miserable existence.

Another point... It has also been theorized that we are not native to this planet (that a meteor fell , or many fell, with different compounds, water, carbon, hydrogen and other assorted compounds as well as amino acids) and that could very well mean that everything in life is alien, in regards to the planet. Now perhaps if we were placed here by other beings, which has also been a topic of discussion on other threads I am sure, perhaps we are all transmitters, sending our thoughts and experience into a collective consciousness, which could be tapped into by.... I can just tell this will probably spark a whole lot of other "you be crazy mannnnn!!!".... Another race whom are in fact our fathers. Lol, ok, I think thats enough of that!

A tongue in cheek thread of course (well I hope it is) but if cats really are alien spies then one can only wonder what the human race would be like today if they were not? Maybe we'd be landing on other planets by now due to no interference or eradicated from this planet years ago?

If anything I'd say rats are more likely to be alien spies... Or women

So true. Same with most dogs these days as well. I mean how many people in the US still use dogs for actual purposes. They are usually only used by hunters and police these days in the US. That probably only makes up like 5% of dogs. The rest you play with, feed, clean, keep healthy, and shelter. And they don't really perform any tasks that are beneficial other than cheering you up and being your friend

I was going to crack some jokes and say you are crazy.Then I realized that my cat somehow convinced me to feed her,pet her,and take out her $hit and she always ignored me until it was convenient for her to come out. Know that she passed away a couple of years ago I can can come to the only plausible answer. She must have been using telepathic manipulation techniques to get me to do what she wanted.

Of course anything is possible, they sure are curious and watchful, but I think my cats are creatures from planet earth.
When they are looking up at seemingly invisible things, it's usually a tiny bug or spider. Spiders crawl up the corners of walls to make a web. They must have excellent vision.

This thread is actually kind of funny considering what I just posted for the short story writing contest. I posted a story from my cat Einsteins perspective. It was kind of cool trying to think like him for a while... he definitely thinks he is god...lol

I remember when I was 8 years old. Over my mothers friends house in her back yard playing with a teenage kitten. I played with the cat for about 2 hours bored as hell. All of the sudden four teenage boys came and grabbed the cat from me coming down the ally…and then all of the sudden the boy swung the cat into a brick wall 2 times crushing the skull. They dropped the cat as I went over there to pick it up wondering 'wtf was that about'. I held the little cat for about 3 minutes until it took its last breath.

Besides that experience and one more experience in which happened to me, I believe that the cat incident had something to do with the few gifts I have…I honestly do.
