Don't start with that bull#...please. Australia was more than capable of defending itself, especially if an invasion were to occur. Hell, we were the first force to defeat Japan in a major battle, the first force to repel the Nazis on land. FFS, give credit where it is due! We had already won the battle for Australia by the time the US came parading down here on their high horse.

Scrappiest? What do you mean? The disorganised term, or the determined term? if it is the former you can get lost. Australia has, for the most part been a professional force for many, many years, more so than what can be said about the US Military, especially in it's current state (with the pissing on dead bodies, and Quran burnings).

If your post was serious (disregarding the last part) then i have lost respect for you, both, as a member of ATS and as a moderator. You should be displaying the upsides to ATS, not reveling in your arrogance and bias against other countries/forces.

There is a big difference between you and me. Yes, I have made posts that were in anger and came out ugly. But I evolve everyday and learn that spewing hatred and not being able to understand others feelings is one of my weaknesses that I strive to change every day.

You say you aren't angry at Americans but yet your posts prove otherwise! You saying you have American friends is like me spewing "blanket hate speech" toward black people and then turning around and say, "I have many black friend.". Doesn't jive now does it?

In my opinion,this is no more than a brawl between groups of individuals. Some posters seem to want to make more of it than that. I think these guys will be cool with each other when they cool off. Yes, both WW1 and WW2 were"your wars" before it was America's.
Britain declared war on Sept 3, 1939 I believe and fyi Australia was at that time not even independent, not having ratified the Staute of Westiminster until 1942. They made it retroactive to '39.
At the time Britain declared war Australia was still a Dominion land under the English crown.

So yes, WW2 was "Australia's war" before it was America's.
Maybe Japan wouldn't have successfully invaded, we'll never know but the odds were long against you.

what you have to keep in mind is that their arguments are frail, and they wouldn't be saying the same thing if it was france exerting influence over Australia, even though France is a much better country(but certainly not a good one), and the reason why is because these folks have just been born and raised to yank-worship.

Australia has so much industry and is positioned so well to be a self-sufficient power house in the future, it will be a crying shame if the yank worshipers in australia take that away and cede all power to the yankydoodlepigdogs.
