AGAIN I live here just giving info and perspective from where it happened! I know what he said Ive seen it I have herd the very few people that are talking about and what they have to say on a local level. That was what I said to the classmate that goes to the church.

I disagree with him period and to even make a statement like that is against what Jesus taught and preached PERIOD. He does not hold those values at heart nor walks by them in every thing he does. And honestly that kind of ignorant # is normal around here!

I try my best not to judge anyone, i try to call it like I see it, here I saw a fool leading fools, they happen to be of a certain religion that many of my friend are also a part of. My friends don't feel that way, therefore I know it is not the whole religion.

It's a bunch of scrolls that was written down by humans about an event (probable ET intervention) that happened many years before.

It was labelled as the word of a single god by other humans.

People believe it because of the old 'Chinese Whispers' game. People talk about stuff then tell other people and it keeps going until the facts are lost and the fairy tale is written down. After that, people inform/tell/instruct their children to believe in this rubbish that has been handed down to them as fact.

It is just a distorted story that has been changed numerous times over many years.

The idea of a god that is always seeing, hearing, smelling, feeling and, even, tasting has been ingrained into you for behavioral reasons (i.e. I'm in charge and whenever you're awake I'll know whether you are good or bad)

Please, please understand that religion is just a tool that originally was invented to do good but was then taken over as a tool to control.............

The only way to Salvation is through Christ. As for the rest; God wants you to be exactly who you are and to question or test everything. If it doesn't sit well, sound right or fit with God's word, then it is not from God.

Jesus said "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone", knowing that not one person could. We are all sinners, every one and by pointing out what we perceive to be the faults and flaws in others we are trying to shift attention from ourselves.

To be fair I only read the post but I suspect that the sermon that included the absurd personal opinion to fence off a minority of people because their lifestyle differs from your own means the orator/author of said sermon and personal opinion has their own rather monumental problems to deal with.

It just reminds me of Matthew 7-7.5.

Jesus said " A new commandment I give to you..that you love one another" - so if they are calling themselves CHRISTIAN - aka followers of Jesus Christ..they'd be following CHRISTS commands...not the Old testaments Talmudic laws...none of the ten commandments aka Law of Moses that actual Christians abide by says a word about homosexuality.

There is a big difference between loving someone and having sex with someone let me point that out. Jesus said love everyone not have sex with everyone.

Also, Jesus didn't negate everything that was written in the Old Testament. In fact Jesus never said anything directly about rape, incest or domestic violence. So, by your logic those things are approved by Jesus by default right?

But that was the OLD Testament and Moses' law of which Christians are now immune to. So it's okay to have sex with an animal now right?

I'm not a Christian anymore but I still know the Bible. I'm not against gays I believe it is their right to be gay. But the Bible in no way condones homosexuality. A homosexual can not be a Christian. Those gays trying to be Christian should just found their own religion instead of trying to twist an existing one to their benefit.

Not that gay people don't fit into this world, I mean your out of the closet now because you want to be free. Now free your self from this Christian Bible and write one that suits you!

I never said i did believe it. I do allow for possibility of a creator but in my view the bible is just to far fetched to build my life around. I dont need religion in my life, i manage every day to live a moral happy life without some book telling me how. All i was saying was that if god did make everything i cant see him hating on me because i choose to give my affections to a male instead of a female.
