Alot of people today have a preset agenda and they dont care about right or wrong, its all for the team.

Funny though, these guys look the same as OWS protesters... The same guys who where being bashed on ATS not long ago as "dirty" etc. Just goes to show how things change when its for the team cause they support.

Yah people, protest, throw a little FIRE BOMB and nothing should happen... I will guarantee you if you go to this protest with just peaceful intentions you will not be arrested for terrorism... You guys are silly thinking that people have some kinda right to go protest and throw fire bombs.

You are right, if you go to a protest with only peaceful intentions, most likely you will only be pepper sprayed, beaten with a baton, and hauled off to jail. Again, the terrorism part depends on what they find at your home and how you act when they question you.

Richard Daley the first ordered a 'shoot to kill' order for anyone carrying a molotav cocktail.

those guys got lucky consider what city they are in.

26th and California has comfortable facilities and their fellow inmates will offer them all the support and love they need to make it through this difficult time in their lives.

they should be happy for all the support that gay marriage is receiving at present...

How does one plan to make molotov cocktails? I mean, its not like they needed blueprints to make them. Soak rag in kerosene, fill bottle with kerosene, stick in rag, light, throw, pray it doesnt blow up in your hands.

I bet you $10,000.00 they looked it up online, googled "how to make a molotov cocktail", and that serves as all the evidence the police need.

Slight correction (at least according to our local South Florida news sources) that's Oakland Park, FL, not Massachusetts...It's a municipality bordering Fort Lauderdale.

Interesting, I'll talk to my local hipster, occupier and otherwise subculture connections and see if anyone knows them...

Watching a live feed of the Nato Summit, they cut to this press conference so I recorded most of it.

Here's just the first few minutes, but it went on for another 10, with a Q&A at the end..

Sounds to me like they have more than just hearsay.

They are the same as the OWS protestors. The same exact people.

The conservatives here on ATS bought into the media lies hook line and sinker and were actively speaking out against the exact thing they want for this country and the exact thing this country needs.

I went to a few Occupy protests and didn't see one person supporting communism or supporting Obama (at least openly), I did however see many RP and liberty supporters, people against corporate money in politics, and people supporting our rights.

This is just Occupy taking shape.

What? I thought they were arrested in Chicago. Isn't that where the summit is? In any case, I live in Miami. Ironically I also live next door to Miami Herald HQ.

No, or rather, yes. The summit is in Chicago. These men were arrested in Chicago. But the article says the third is from Oakland Park, Mass. I don't know if there is an Oakland Park, Mass., but CBS Miami says that the one guy is from New Hampshire and the other two are from right here in Broward... FTL and Oakland Park

Edit, to add, with all this mention of swords and bows, I'll have to talk to my Ren Fest connections from down here as well.

underground word of mouth protest is the only result of these actions. They are actually encouraging terrorism unless they can actually show some sort of evidence. I haven't seen any directions on detailed bomb applications or even the parts of these so called explosive devices anywhere in any of these reports. Looks like justification for fascism for me. This doesn't make me want to protest less...it makes me want to protest more...and more violently and covertly. Unfortunately I have the same issue I think many have. I don't have a target. Even if the government is the problem where would you lash out at that you think would slow the procession of fascism. Without taking the whole thing down at a national level and resetting everything how would any one person or arm of the government being taken down make any difference? If anyone has the answer. Let me hear it because I have none. I have only my energy, rage, and ambition. Yet I have nothing to direct it at.

I am guessing that you are fairly young, under 30 perhaps.
I wish I had the answer, but it is hard when like you, I am not sure where problem is rooted.
I know that anger or lashing out won't solve anything.

The generation of people under 30 are our last best hope. The baby boomers have morphed into something unrecognizable and foul. Lacking a strong identity, my generation, X, got swept up into the struggles of the past, we failed to even try what your generation now must do.
Time is you ultimate weapon. Your generation must transform the issues and remake the game that is being played. Don't trust anyone over 30. Talk to each other enough, and when you have the answers it will be clear to all of you. Quell your anger, and then the fear that generates it. Talk to people over 30, and you will learn a lot. Trust in each other only. Wish I had more to say.

Does anyone else feel like our life is akin to the world described in 1984?
It actually freaks me out a little bit.
The sheeple of the united states are completely and totally brainwashed. It's baffling to me.
How can so many people be so blind?
As much as I hate the government and what they are doing to us, I have to admit; they are very good at what they do. (which by the way, isn't what they SHOULD be doing)
They are very good at propaganda.. In fact they are so good that most people don't even realize its propaganda.
If anyone falls out of line, they are labeled as crazy, a terrorist or unstable. It's okay to disagree with the government...it's okay to dislike the government... But don't try to change anything, or else.

My god. Frigging morons.

Yes its all a conspiracy! False flag! False flag!

No one would ever want to start trouble. Oh no!

*takes off multi layered tinfoil hat, sticks head in sand*

Whoa! Those guys were set to really cause chaos and kill scores of people with those brass knuckes, throwing stars, and home brewery designed to make molotov cocktails that apparently weren't even needed since the LE infiltrator allegedly supplied them with some anyway.

Good to know we are no longer in danger now that such a sophisticated (and not at all silly or medieval) terrorist plot (totally homegrown, no entrapment involved) plot has been foiled.

The men’s attorney, Michael Deutsch, accused authorities of entrapment and suggested police targeted the men because of their anti-establishment views

When police raided the apartment Wednesday evening, they recovered four completed Molotov cocktails and weapons including a mortar gun, swords, a hunting bow, throwing stars and knives with brass knuckle handles, according to law-enforcement records. They also possessed protective gear such as pre-positioned shields, assault vests and gas masks to help hide their identity during the planned attacks, prosecutors said.

Church also wanted to buy several assault rifles and indicated that if an officer pointed a gun at him, he planned to be "pointing one back," authorities said.

Court documents indicate authorities most likely have recordings of the men discussing their plans, but the records do not indicate how the audio was obtained. Law-enforcement sources told the Tribune that police had two informants inside the Bridgeport apartment.

On the day of the arrests, the three men and others had detailed conversations about making "numerous" Molotov cocktails by filling empty beer bottles with gasoline and using cut bandannas for wicks, according to court records. Prosecutors said Chase purchased the gas at a nearby BP station and then returned to the flat, where the defendants donned gloves and began making the crude bombs.

I am amazed you people are defending this... Wonder what some of you would say to IRA bombings killing innocent people, i wonder what some of you would say if these guys where going to go fire bomb a tea party protest.

If all that's true it does change my POV. But a raid without a warrant? It smelled fishy, and with all the militarization going on - didn't look good at all.

I for one would be glad to see the evidence quickly made public to restore confidence in good policing rather than stirring and festering fears of the police-state situations that are also going on. The TRUTH matters. Thanks for sharing that post.

This is why the house had to keep the provision to include american citizens because this was a false flag to justify the NDAA and the threat of domestic terrorism.

Ah, so my head is in the sand because it is not hard (at all) to believe people would take advantage of this event and cause trouble. An estimated 10,000 people and all of them perfect angels. Just like those peaceful occupiers who have been known to break windows and set # on fire, right?

I can't say I wish I lived in your reality where there is a sinister government intention behind the insignificant arrests of a couple of morons. I couldn't stand all that paranoia. But oh my, you are ever so "enlightened," or "awake"...whatever it is you guys call it.
