I say half-retarded because he is a Sheriff who thinks he can police the entire country, instead of his own county. If a Janitor accuses the Dean of a University of being a communist (random negative connotation), what do you think would happen to the Janitor?

I say 80 year old because yes, those are usually the more racist citizens among us. Its like cops, the older cops are the ones that punch people is cuffs, pepper spray random people, etc... Talk to your grandfather and ask what he thinks about black people. I'm not saying that the opinions of the elderly are of no use, simply that they are way more racist than someone born, say, post 1990. You never see the YOUNG republicans claim anything about Obama's birthplace, its always the old guys who peddle racist comments and deny their racism.

I know plenty of 80 year olds who aren't racist- that is like my stereotyping all blacks as criminals because they have a higher incarcertation rate- it is just a form of abuse, same as the "half retarded" comment.

These sorts of discussions should be encouraged in a free country, the ridiculous defence of a leader, often because he happens to be half black (not that you were doing this) is a disgrace to freedom- people get vetted working as bank cashiers, my wife lost her job ten years ago because she was a month out on how long she had been unemployed for, it should be a hundred times more intense for the likes of Obama!

At the time, 1991, the Acton & Dystel agency listed 90 clients, Obama among its least significant. How likely is it that Goderich would have remembered enough about a 1991 "error" to know it was hers, especially since it went uncorrected through several revisions until changed in 2007? To make this claim credible, there would have to be an existing paper trail leading to an Obama submission in which he lists an Hawaiian birth. I am confident that there is no such submission.

I know TONS of un-racist old people as well. But are you telling me that the elderly AREN'T legitimately more racist than the current generation? It's not quite the same you know, when you compare blacks and criminality to elderly people and racism. Society creates criminals, but it ALLOWS racism. Those elderly don't see themselves as racist because they lived through Jim Crowe, segregation, etc... To them, they are the most unracist people in the world, even though they consider minority races inferior to them.

Anyway. I just read this somewhere and it poses an interesting question and suggestive answer.

Not knocking this at all. I think it was great.

The question is.....unless Obama had a PR team, literary agents requests biographies from authors/clients. Obama wasn't that well known back then so it's not unreasonable to assume Obama himself handed over this background information including his birth place.

And the fact that this wasn't challenged or even spotted in 2007 is very VERY interesting unto itself.

Here he is in 1993. My point to this video is, he is virtually an unknown
