the 99% are the zombies when the sun acts up and fries our brain with the glaring heat, and all those ultra violet waves hitting your body. The heat will litterally make you mad and you will become a zombie and wonder around aimlessly for food and water. You will start to see things, immages. Just immagine being in the desert with no water or food and how you might react.

They dutifully repeat propaganda they have been fed all their lives on just about any subject without ever having really looked at the research or evidence.

They believe we could not live without oil and that terrorist are hiding around every corner waiting to kill us so dutifully obey the patriot act and other anti-freedom legislation and allow their children and wives to be molested at airports because they believe it keeps us secure.

When confronted they generally don't want to hear it or react angrily claiming one is a crack pot for saying anything like that. They are not interested in facts and evidence they just put a wall up and or repeat media rhetoric.

I am sure you all can add a lot more things to the list and feel free if you like.

Now don't worry if you do not agree with everything I wrote this thread is not about arguing which conspiracies are real and which are not we can agree to disagree on the details. The point is the big picture the over all conspiracy so to speak. Those of us who realize most of what is believed by society is a lie we are the survivors so to speak of the Zombie Apocalypse and we are surrounded by Zombies and our lives are in peril because of it.

If you watched any zombie flick like Dawn of the Dead or the series Walking Dead (highly recommend it) herds of zombies are walking around consuming any flesh they can find destroying anything in their path. And a few pockets of survivors are trying to avoid them and find a place free of them or fortified against them. These zombies have no minds their brain stems are just functioning enough for them to do this.

This is not unlike us here who see all the lies and watch the herds dutifully destroy our freedoms and go along with the lies and will not hear anything contrary that disrupts their status quo. They do not know they are destroying their own world.

Is this not the definition of Zombies? Are we not fighting for our lives and freedom against these herds so to speak? Now this is not meant to incite hatred or derogatory feeling toward the herds of society although I admit it will to some degree but remember we were all once Zombies. However it does put things in perspective and how serious things are. We are in the Zombie Apocalypse and what is happening will change our world forever for good or bad the choice is ours!

The good news in our Zombie Apocalypse unlike in the movies is there is a cure and many are being cured but still we are surrounded and fighting for our lives outnumbered and over run for the most part. Perhaps we should start thinking more in terms of creating pockets of fortifications? Micro societies of awake people working to create models for a future more sustainable society? What are your thoughts on solutions?

Ya, right-on, I'm down with the micro-society idea, even though it scares the remainder of "Zombie" I have still with me, see- some of us are the kinds of people that think- # those zombies but also # that last chunk of human left over, (somewhat due to the fact that the actors they have portraying as the remaining non-zombie are the most generic- making them the most zombie-like in the actual world hahaha) not to mention the fact that my former family are defnitly some of them zombies.
How would you do the micro-society thing anyways? Us non-zombies aren't exactly the non-paranoid type? Also aren't we all just gunna die? Hey, whats the difference between the after-life of a non-zombie vs. a zombie or a hybrid?

There are those that are 'awake' and have not succumbed to the alien invasion and who have not become like everyone else.. litterally walking around in a zombie like state. It's the way those that are 'awake' avoid detection, by blending in and acting the part...

There is a scene from the film 'shaun of the dead' where the group of survivors do exactly this in order to get into the pub.. Great move...

I thought this was a great post to follow for reply more to Domo's post saying he never really thought of zombie movies as social commentary before. Even more than many other "monster" movies, zombie flicks are and always have been very much social commentary movies. What I have always found interesting is the change in zombie movies over time. Its a reflection of who we believe we are as a People, and the fears we have about what we may become (or are becoming)
Hence, modern pharmeceutical SNAFU ultra-fast zombies,vs. Simple rise-from-grave mindless only-catch-you-if-you-fall-in-quicksand old-school zombies.
I've never done good research, but something tells me there's a term paper for a cinema student in there somewhere.

To the OP, what you're saying is hard to disagree with, but, I feel that you and others have it blown way out of proportion - so much so that it becomes a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy.
I would say at least 3/4 of my friends are "awake", ad well as at least half of my entire extended family. Since you choose your friends and not your family. I would mark my 50/50 family, sample size of over 200, as a decent indicator of the population in general.
I've found that the stupid among us (sorry, I've got no qualms about admitting that many people are idiots) are typically far more "compliant" overall than others. Its not left/right, urban/rural, south/north, or even education level i'm referring to. I know some very smart high school dropouts, and some disturbingly stupid medical doctors. There's that hard-to-explain quality I generally refer to as having the "lights on." When I look at the world, I feel like no nore than half of the people out there are "lights out" types.

So that said, why don't we have more decisive action by the people? Its because smart people weigh their decisions. I know about all the "stuff" that sheeple don't know. I know about the toxic foods and products, the medications and artifically-inflated fuel prices. The contrived wars, etc. I don't eat those toxic foods, by choice. I don't get the fly vaccine, (but I haven't had it since I was a child in the early 80's. "the economy sucks", but I found 2 crappy jobs since my old job ended and now I have a great job making even better money than before. I have a baby boy on the way (my first), I just bought a new car after 10 years, and my house is on track to be paid off by the time I'm 45. I enjoy my family, friends, entertainment, great food, nature, my work (job as well as gardening, working on house & cars, etc.)
I love my life, and while I know the world sucks for a lot of people, I'm simply not geared to throw mine away for others I don't know. Maybe that makes me not material for knighthood, and maybe it simply males me Sheeple too, even though I'm well-aware. See- the masterminds behind it all know that someone like me, who knows the truth but has chosen to be happy, is no threat. The only true threats to "their order" is those with nothing to lose. Usually, those with nothing to lose are too dumb to realize there is an organized plan under foot.
Whatever "The Plan" is, and whoever is executing it, knows that there is a simple formula the human mind runs all the time, and that is: if x = more beneficial to long term survival and. Happiness than "y". Choose X

In conclusion at long last (sorry, thus turned into one of those thinking out loud posts), I believe there are far less "lights-outers" than you think...and that's exactly why the situation is far worse than you think. Many of the most valuable assets for 'the cause' so to speak, are far too happy and satisifed to fight against the establushed order.

Where in all my post have I said anything about fighting the established order? All I have advocated is peaceful change through individual action and educating others...

But hey if it doesn't effect you to much at the moment why worry about the world your soon to be born child will grow up in....

If I am not mistaken, Night of the Living Dead (The Romero classic that started the modern zombie mythos) was a treatise on blatant and widespread consumerism... or maybe just a kickin' idea for a movie.

You just have to look at the newest entry into this 'look' at zombies and our socialising skills given such an event.
The Walking Dead is a fine modern exampleof all the good and bad things that can happen to those who live under such an umbrella.

At first, everything is in turmoil until you find your feet, then someone comes along and upsets the apple cart so you gotta rebuild again and just when you thought there was some kind of structure and sanctity, another fool sticks his oar in and makes a big splash..

what about everyone is so inclined with the money, and its controlling them. is it considered as zombie?

Big brother was supposed to take over the world in 1985. Hitler almost did it, it's a recurring thought in people's mind so it's not out of the question to say we aren't being told what we should be to hold us down and I honestly think the only reason for this is to gain more attention to gang up against a faceless enemy.
