I watched that recently so good choice.

In Fisher's book (Part 4), he relates how a Buddhist group were contacted by one of their deceased former leaders. He identified himself and offered enough detail to convince them of his honesty. What then happened was progressively darker. As they repeatedly consulted him for advice, it slowly became apparent that his tenets were not those held by the leader when he was alive. In fact, some of the advice was opposed to those teachings.

They realised that, whatever it was, it wasn't the leader. From there, they had to do some ritual casting out to be rid of it. It was a fascinating account.

Fisher identified these messengers as 'hungry ghosts' and suspected they were potentially evil/negative entities. Buddhists call them 'Preta.'

I guess my contention is that, whatever the source, the messengers and messages are not to be trusted. They can inevitably lead someone down the Royal Road to madness and ruin.

It is difficult to discuss this phenomena without bringing up cults and their leaders.
The whole topic has a foot in every camp of belief and hence, debating can become
heated and disillusioned.

We don't know what's going on up there, I know that many will be sure they have a
handle on it and some will be sincere in their beliefs... but there are many who see it
as a money-making scheme too.

I'm sure the 'Landing on the White House lawn' scenario will be the only way to level
the playing field.

I get sick of hearing people cry and beg for disclousure. Who cares, we already know. Guess what even if you admitted to the world aliens are out there....NOBODY WOULD CARE. People would still go on with their ordinary lives with nothing changing and the UFO geeks would be having parties saying...I told you so. That's about all that will happen so I don't see the point of people screaming for disclosure it's not going to accomplish anything.

This may come as a shock to some, but not ALL of we who take great - and I mean REALLY big - interest in the unexplained in general are a bunch of marshmallow-headed Heaven's Gate-type cultists. To hell with mere BELIEFS period; it's all about the DESIRE for greater scientific knowledge and an outright end to secrecy-BASED government, whether or not either ever happens. What a concept. Those without said desire can no more understand or relate to it than, say, someone's sprouting wings and taking a flying leap over Mount Everest. It's just not in their DNA to register anything other than the existing very narrow political world.

Yes, like religions, the main problem with many (mere) BELIEVERS is in their claiming to know what the future will bring.

Some interesting reading there mate and I'm sure if taken too far, some UFO beliefs can lead to insanity and death - some UFOs have also been said to cause death as well like in your thread above -very freaky stuff.

I always wondered what happened to this guy as well.

Location. Mona Channel, Caribbean Ocean near Puerto Rico

Date: June 28 1980

At 1810 Jose Antonio Maldonado Torres and his friend, Jose Pagan Santos, took off from Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in an Ercoupe aircraft marked N3808H.
The Ercoupe was owned by Santo’s father Jose Pagan Jimenez, an Aero
Police officer in Puerto Rico. They were bound for home in Puerto Rico. At 2003 the Las Mesas radar site and several aircraft picked up radio transmissions from N3808H:

“Mayday, Mayday, Ercoupe ocho cero, eight zero, zero, Hotel. We can see a strange object in our course, we are lost, Mayday, Mayday.”

An Iberia Airlines flight IB-976 en route from Santo Domingo to Spain responded to the Mayday and received a reply:

“Ah we are going from Santo Domingo to ah San Juan International but we found ah a weird object in our course that made us change course about three different times we got it right in front of us now at one o’clock, our heading is zero seven zero degrees…our altitude one thousand six hundred a zero seven zero degrees…our VORs got lost off frequency…”

Iberia Flight IB-976 then relayed a message from San Juan Center asking N3808H to turn on their transponder.
N3808H replied that the Ercoupe was not equipped with a transponder. At 2006 Iberia IB-976 asked for their call sing and estimated position and received this reply:

“Right now we are supposed to be a about thirty five miles from the coast of Puerto Rico but we have something weird in front of us that make us lose course all the time I changed our course a second (unintelligible) our present heading right now is three hundred we are right again in the same stuff sir.”

They were not heard from again. At 2012 the Atlantic Fleet Weapons Range verified the last radar position of N3808H as thirty five miles west of Puerto Rico. A search that included Santos’s father was then mounted which centered on this last radar position. It was discontinued after two days when no trace had been found. No trace was ever found.

Cheers.

Compliments on a very clean on point post Kandinsky.
The conversation that evolved was also very nice to see.
Civility, no snarky wise cracks, actual communication, warms the heart really.
I have had an unusual life.

Perhaps it will be permited to tell you more. I wished it but it is not to be at the present time, don't worry though, a light speed capable (gods, far too slow to ever get anywhere) ship is not coming to rescue me and people I say are "away team qualified".At least not that I know anything about. I am sorry.
People have lives and no two are the same.
That is a very good thing.
Let me say I do not doubt what people post here when it is from their own life, unless those people speak of Light angels battling Shaitan's angels and other , may I be blunt? Other Bull droppings, such as Confederated Galactic bodies politik and rescue rangers.
I am rude to channelers. I am rude to religionists. I am rude to obvious liars who do not even understand how painfully obvious it is that they are just knitting Psycho Radio segments together with love, hugs, and let the rest of em die, the Galactic Mounties are only coming to rescue me and people who buy my books and taped...yeah...riiiiight.
I too do not wish to live where it isn't allowed to eat good wholesome murdered animals. Sure it was a really bad day for the animal, but you know, someday you are the Beefeater and some days you are the cute little light love and hugs yearling bovine, hanging on a hook, destined for dinner. Yum.
Anyway, I hope I may tell you of my happy though abnormal life before too long. The thing that stopped my telling you is the same thing that says we do not speak of this outside the family. Ever.

Hold it right there! If the alternative is to live in a vegetarian world with tree hugging hippies and no murdered cow on my plate, I would rather live in a world of terror where ufo's continue to do what they do. Seriously, a vegetarian world would be nothing but a world of terror to every meat-eater and the vegetarians would win. Screw that and nice try. Ufo's with Taliban drivers is a much preferable choice to those who eat meat.

Free energy is nice but what does vegetarianism have to do with anything? All the free energy in the world and we would still have to BBQ pigs, cows etc outside over a flame. Electric cars would be so small that if they were to hit a deer crossing the road YOU would be roadkill, and would not be able to strap a big deer on top of such a small retarded car (that looks like a transformer's roller skate anyway).

If this were to happen, I would just hunt vegetarians and eat them instead. Wouldn't be much meat on the bones, might be like eating a starving alley cat, but it would be more about revenge than eating meat.

I'll go 50/50. If I lived in a tree hugging, vegetarian hippie world where they they want to hug me all the time. It's over! I will beg Obama to install a New World Order. If the alternative is TRUE freedom, (that is eating what you want without vegetarianism's undeserved sense of entitlement and holier than thou attitudes) and still having free energy etc. I am back on track.

Seriously though, and I am dead serious, I wonder what aliens would taste like, were they to be prepared by Chef Ramsey? Would it be like real meat or would it be rubbery? Hmmm.

To be honest, probably more harm has been done by those trying to deny anything that seems 'extraordinary' and keeping on the 'if you can't see it / touch it how could it be' thought path.

That aside, there are those that aren't of sound mind that focus fixations, a percentage of which, would be on things that would be considered extraordinary or extra terrestrial, such people may or may not have encountered real experiences of this nature.

Of those that have experienced these encounters, the reactions are perhaps varied. How people cope with such information is often as much their own mind / energy processes as well as their conditioning and strategies on how to cope with information that is truthful though not openly admitted or taught in educational establishments and frowned upon by certain facets of society.

One of the best dancers I ever asked onto the floor was a boy in a dress. A hauntingly beautiful boy in a dress.
He told me after I thanked him for the dance, and kissed his cheek and said, "I hope to see you again". He sort of chuckled, in a very feminine voice and whispered in a distinctly male voice,"I hope I don't have to pull you over, I'm a guy. I'm a motorcycle cop weekdays. I laughed and said I hope to see more of you on weekends, she winked and slinked off the floor, every inch a lady. Never saw him/her again.

Actually the largest UFO investigation carried out by ivy league universities came to the conclusion that 99% of the credible cases told the same story almost exact.

This is actually discredited by the identical stories told by credible abductees. There is no way this is not a real phenomenon based on the research that's out there.

Title fail!

Death by UFO implies that the unidentified flying object kills people. like in these videos;

Your thread should be called; the death of clinically ill & obsessed people. It seems that your trying to throw hints that anyone who "believes" in any part of the "extra-terrestrial" hypothesis is not in synch with "consensus reality" as you call it. That may be true then again;
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident. Bacteria have recently been found inside of a martian meteorite proving that life has existed outside of earth. Give it some time to synch in.

I don't believe in channeling, blossom godchild, end of the world prophecies, planet x or other new age theosophist non-sense. However there are things flying around on earth and high in our atmosphere that defies laws of physics and that have cause real deaths by means of mid-air collisions. Your thread could have focused on that however i assume that these situations aren't part of your "consensus reality".

I get the point of your thread. Although you limp too many topics together to be debated seriously in any one area. According to you, The whole disclosure project is a joke because Greer has some new age beliefs on the side? What about the 400 national security witnesses ready to testify in front of congress breaking their security oaths in doing so. They must also be new-age qwacknuts right ? They have had the security clearance to guard nuclear weapons but when they talk about events they have witnessed that defy "consensus reality" they are qwacknuts ?

There definitely are some qwacknuts. Then again there's also how people perceive, people not in the mainstream. There is a house in my town that is all light up with Christmas lights and has a giant UFO on top. Everybody in town thinks the guy is nuts. One day, a buddy of mine goes to do a land survey in his backward for some project and talked to guy. He found that he was very level-headed was very much in touch with reality except one thing, he said that something happened to him one day that he will never forget. He was abducted.
He hasn't started a cult, isn't a schyzo or paranoid dude, doesn't have his own church. He's just not afraid of telling people what happened and wants "them" to know that he's not afraid should they come back.
Even though, he isn't afraid telling people, The guy doesn't openly talk about it because of the ridicule that is part of the "consensus reality". He just happenned to have a amazing out of this world experience and everyone else thinks he's crazy. He goes on with his life.

Thought this might add substance to you original OP-ED.

An interesting side note here is that UFO contactee Billy Meier predicted the outcome of the Heaven's Gate cult in 1975: His 35th contact report:

" In order to recruit those who were willing, a gathering that served this malicious purpose was held last Sunday, September 14, 1975 in a place called Waldport in America. This is what happened. Those interested were told at the gathering that they could immediately be taken to a place where they would be prepared for their alleged flight into outer space in order to overcome the problems of space flight and to acquire the knowledge needed for their new life on the other, supposedly better, world, and adapt to their new lives there."

He goes on to say in the report:

"Therefore, the danger that all the misguided people will be murdered does indeed exist. The life of an Earth person is of absolutely no value to those with a mania for world power..."

Thanks for mentioning karl 12, as we know during this strange time there were beams coming down from UFOs into houses that appearred to be taking small blood samples from from people laying their bed at night. It may be evidence that aliens had a treaty and worked with the US during this time because it shows the entirely different approach aliens took in the US compared to Brazil. I believe one of the cases was very strange, because a woman was hit by a beam while standing up and she became paralyzed in the same position.

But i believe the strangest ones are the Human mutes.....there have been some reported along with deer cattle sheep and various other animals both domestic and wild.
Brazil has a case on record, but long ago when i read about it there was some indication that it was 12-13 people that were eventually found looking like cattle mutes.
I did see a photo of one guy....
This occured in White Sands NM also to an airman, a corporal i think, he was out in the desert with an officer seeking lost rocket parts from previous launches.they split up to check this sand dune, and the officer heard the corporal yell....he came over the top in time to see the saucer flee the scene...the corporal was gone too....
needless to say, he reported the dissapearance and was promptly arrested for murder
The search party found the body three days later...it was returned to a spot theyd already looked and they had to release the officer...the body was mutilated like the cattle as well.......

You saw the photo of the man in Brazil, not the White Sands incident. I would like to ask ATS, has there been any other reports or testimony related to the case of Sgt. Jonathan P Louette besides the information from the Grudge 13 report? I do not know where the report comes from but it seems like the only trace of the event, which likely would mean it not true because there is not anything backing it, on the other hand aliens at Roswell likely did happen because of all the witness testimony. It is a known fact that strange lights in the sky were associated with the events, whether or not they were objects or interdimensional things we cannot understand I don't know.

I wonder what UFOs might have had to do with the demise of Secretary James Forrestal and of Dr. James McDonald.

I disagree with Stanton Friedman for seemingly overlooking such an obvious part of the Roswell story. I surely believe Secretary James Forrestal was pushed out because he couldn't cope with the realization of the alien presence. Thats why people who witnessed the aliens from Roswell still cry and have nightmares years later, for someone to see an alien is different than we would think, it would be shattering especially if you were not prepared, we start to see why they held Roswell over top secret as the highest priority over everything of the day, it was mentally shattering for them to face other beings in the universe who were for one shorter than them in height, but also had 4 fingers and were 'creatures' that knew how to fly a spaceship that didn't have any visible controls, the metal from the ship was called memory metal because it appeared to have a mind, that is why Roswell intelligence officer Major Jesse Marcel went public in 1978.

Not too sure about that as Forrestal would also know of an influx and influence of any people
in control of the German scientists using the so called alien saucer technology.
In other words no aliens just desperate people.
Author researcher William R. Lyne covered the groups that are controlled by UFO sightings
because of inside job to the owners of the disk ships. A policy of mystery that had to be
ended by dashing the hopes of the mislead. Pitiful display of evil.
