Ha, each of my 4 dogs understands 25 verbal commands in 2 in both English and German.
The know the difference between upstairs, downstairs, the yard, the woods and the different bedrooms and will go to whatever room or floor you tell them to.
Herd catttle....you herd cattle

I guess we will need to send in our heavy hitters into Iran.
The One Percents.

Its just their culture.

I dont like dogs much either. They are dumb compared to a cat. And they are dirty.

In China they eat dogs.

I have had both dogs and cats and neither is clean unless YOU wash them yourself. But try washing a cat.

Tolerance, Islamic style: UN says Iran executing Christians

“It is with great concern that I report the significant increase in the rate of executions in Iran from 200 in mid-September 2011 to over 600 executions by the end of the year,” Shaheed told the council.

By December 31, 421 executions had been announced and 249 secret ones had been reported to him by sources inside and outside the country.

Iran’s persecution of Pastor Yousef Nadarkhani, who has been sentenced to death for creating a home-based church and questioning compulsory Islamic education for his children, surfaced in Shaheed’s statements.

Americans spent over 50 Billion dollars last year on their house pets. This is higher than the GDP of 109 countries in the same time period. This amount could feed almost 45.5 million families of 4 in America at a moderate cost plan for an entire month. You could build quite a few hospitals with that amount and/or in general do wonderful things for your society as a whole.

Perhaps such things in other countries are seen as a waste and would prefer their society to value human life more than animal life. I think humans are more valuable. Anyway, to each his own. Not my place to judge anyone. Some cultures obviously have different values. We all define 'backward' differently I suppose.

Sometimes there are reasons behind the enforcement of laws however, that may not be what they appear on the surface.

Islam - not a backward religion at all.

Hasn't someone done a study that showed a dog's tongue is cleaner than a human's?

I think that in Iran you can have pet Jews, but not pet Christens or dogs

Are Jews' tongues cleaner than a Christian's or dog's?

My two animals are cared for by their owners, my children. They feed them, care for them and love them. I just pay the expenses for the cat and dog - as useless as they are and a waste of money in my books but they serve their purpose for the kids.

And no, of course I don't abuse our two animals. I'm not cruel. I'm just saying cats and dogs have their purpose under the right conditions they were originally bred for.

It's a shame, however, to see owners spend enormous amounts of money on their animals yet there is always some young kid out on the street looking for his/her next meal and a place to try and keep warm.

That is not possible; everyone knows rednecks cannot be domesticated.

In China they eat dogs. In some places you can eat a horse.

Inuits eat whale and I would like to see Greenpeace jerks try to stop them. The Japanese like whale and I am happy for them.

Cultures are different. People are different.

I agree. If Iranians want to be more free to have dogs and whatever. That's really not our place to say. Just because other cultures do things we don't agree with, doesn't give us the right to shove our beliefs up their asses ..

Same thing the German people said about killing the Jews, as well as the acceptance of slavery. Right is right and wrong is wrong. A dog is more likely to save a life than a human. That is a fact. Ask those 12 people in China that walked past a bloody infant in the streets.
Ask the drunk woman who passed out on the railroad tracks and her PITBULL RESCUE DOG pulled her off the tracks while the dog lost a leg and had a crushed pelvis. How is that dogs life worth less than those that left a bloody child in the streets to die? Just freakin answer me that.
