I live in Malaysia and everywhere you go there are stray dogs and most are nothing to fear, but are really dirty,manged and diseased, but i never bother them and they don't bother me, I just can't understand why the dogs get the pig treatment, dogs do much good for us, they strays always seem to bark when someone passes by or near which in the long run is considered to me free security system. I have had a few people attempt to break into my shop but since some dogs been hanging around lately the attempts are nil.
Ok the dog is only dirty if you don't care for them... Its not their fault the human species neglect them and abuse them, So I don't understand why Muslims have to make a big issue about it, if you dont like them than stay away from them simply as that, rats-mice-bugs are just as worse but i don't hear you cry about them...actually you are most likely at risk breathing rat waste or getting bit by these creatures more than dogs..and yet you have cats and just like most dogs they clean themselves unless ill. would you toss your cat out if you knew he ate pork from your neighbors house? I juat simply don't understand why you have to be like this... Your kids can be just as dity and catch bacteria just being in the dirt do you kick them to the curb as well... There needs to be some kind of system here on caring for any pets...and dont go to Vietnam because they have pot bellied guard pigs..oink oink. Grow up and stop trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill...Oh did you shower lately because i seem to pass manny muslim men ant they reak of sweat...Peace out.

I agree. If Iranians want to be more free to have dogs and whatever. That's really not our place to say. Just because other cultures do things we don't agree with, doesn't give us the right to shove our beliefs up their asses ..

Just because the Iranian religious police do not like dogs, does that give them the right to seize other Iranians' dogs off of the street?

WTF....That's all I can say. Animals are animals but really dog ownership is morally corrupt. Many cultures and parts of the world have a bunch of silly superstitions, I see this no different then that. In India in some places they like rats and even have temples to them. Who am I to say any different, besides I find this whole thing freaking hilarious.

And what most people eat such as cattle is held as sacred in some places as well, and vice versa in some places they eat dogs cats and other pets other people around the world keep.

It's all just silly # people do for whatever reason or superstition they have.

I have known people to have all kinds of pets, snakes, chickens, pigs, rats, dogs, cats, even insects and birds, and even dangerous animals some keep as pets, and some of those pets even took a bite out of there owners. Like I said this stuff about owning a dog being morally corrupt is as funny as some people thinking there ancestors came back incarnated as rats, or as funny as any other superstition there is out here. An animal is an animal, they all have there places, I have had pet cats and pet dogs among other things, and they all have different instincts and different reasons why to like them as pets.

Here is the rat temple and believes some have that I was talking about. I see this no different then if Mohamed or god or whoever or whatever said what in some book some people wrote that this or that animal or thing is unclean. All just believes, most of it just silly superstitious believes. People are free to believe and keep whatever they want. So its another whatever moment, another opinion that some people in some country have. There are plenty of opinions to go around.

My friend thats a debate i can challenge you with, I have seen many cats here that are so stupid, cats are known to climb,attack or prey on just about anything that passes them by, but here most are over fed, lazy and simply sleeps too much..just like you McDonald fed overweight sidewalk hogging idiots.
as for dogs they are dirty because people like you are lazy to care for them, city folks should not own pets because they have too much social time and forget they have pets and there are only a few places where they can relieve themselves.. and you be amazed how many get abused and neglected and tossed to the streets.
So between cats and dogs i really have to say when cats piss it reeks very badly and cant most of the time be removed easily as for dogs bleach does the job.
I cant stand walking into a shop or biz and get hit with the scent of a cat. Why would i shop there? it stinks.
In america there are regulations on some biz having pets in them, wish that was here. you try getting cat piss off ur favorite jeans or shirt,,,5 washes later and the smell remains...since i live in the country i don't have this prob because all my pets are free ranged and healthy. so don't be so quick knocking dogs because they may be dirty but they will save your ass from crooks, as for cats welll "yawns" they piss everywhere and leave dead mice and rat parts everywhere... a dog is know to bury his food. You don't like dogs but your avatar sure does. Keep your "intelligent" cat and when someone comes to rob your house while your sleeping your cat will watch them walk by but your "dumb" dog would protect your home with it's life. Also I prefer many animals to people anyway and I am by no means saying I hate cats but you have to be an asshat to think they're more intelligent then dogs. It's commonsense that they aren't.

And meanwhile in some parts of the same country they need to get themselves some dogs or a bunch of cats as pets, as it looks like they have a rat infestation every year like clockwork.

And a lot of these rules about clean or unclean things and animals are just rules that are dictated by there environment which got translated as some sort of holly law set down by heaven or a man in the sky, and interpreted by dudes in robes which eventually becomes into a he said she said rhetoric, were there all arguing about who's imaginary friend is right.

But In a way there right as it got set down by something above them, that is mother nature sets there course.

Very interesting doc about a great many a thing, not just about rats, a bit long but worth watching because you just might learn something.

Absolutely not, we have the same issue in America with catholics and christians telling gays they can't get married. I'm an animal advocate and anything like this is absolutely awful. Honestly because of this article I have lost the little respect I had for the muslim religion as it is.

Iam with Germanicus on this one, Iam a Dog Bigot I hate them, they # everywhere,smell,slober and dog owners expect you to be happy when they jump all over you drooling..
Heck I wouldn't even eat dog (unless I was starving).

There are many breeds of dogs which should not exist (King Charles spaniel etc) because they are so inbred to look a certain way they suffer pain most of their life (Ridgeback's too also certain bulldogs)

The only dogs I can get along with are guide dogs and sheep dogs because they do something for us.

Yes Iam a cat lover but I only own cats which do something for me (keep the rodent population down).

Good on the Iranians for seeing sense.
