Well, 8 hours since the creation of this thread and still no quake... when is it supposed to happen exactly?

Never....I hope.: Someone previously in this thread did mention a 2 to 48 hour time frame I think....but I can't remember what that was based on.

Wow! Strange article! I know that I would like to believe that there is an all-knowing, benevolent force trying to save our earth from total destruction, but I gotta put this under "wishful thinking" as I wouldn't even begin to know how to prove this.

Neat thought, though. Because if it is just us humans against the earth, we will lose every time.

Crazy.. last night.. I had weird dreams about dying, I was sweating and couldn't sleep well. I kept thinking I was either dead or the last one in my city every time I broke my sleep. It was so bad I jumped on the floor and it still wouldn't stop. My head was reeling REALLY bad. I don't get headaches often, and when I do get them I am usually able to make them go away without taking anything.

Made me feel like something really bad is about to happen.

Let's hope nothing will come to pass.

How did this thread take off? Perhaps enough people find the idea interesting enough to chime in and put forth their two cents, or share a story or a dream.

Many of us are feeling that some disaster is coming soon. I've been feeling this way for a few years, and I know a lot of other people are feeling uneasy as well. I welcome what people are thinking, and apparently, there are enough people who are having dreams, weird feelings, observations of pets going cuckoo, or just people who find earthquakes fascinating to generate lots of responses.

Yikes! What a nightmare! We ALL hope nothing happens, especially in northern Japan. Let's hope you don't have the same nightmare again tonight!

I kinda believe this human seismograph thing. In my case, it makes sense if he can feel the vibration that gives him warning signs of a future earthquake because of claims he has made so far.

It's weird. I was sitting there thinking of strategies to get my son out of the house at the strangest times. I wake up in the wee hours of the morning sometimes and thing "How would I get my son out of here during an earthquake?".

It's that Mama Bear in you...

I'm convinced in the event of a really bad disaster...it's Women who'll hold things together...

I live in the Ozarks , Lake of the Ozarks.. I have been saving water and food ect.. for SOMETHING. for at least a year. I also NEVER park under the parking garage at work. I always park out away from any thing in the gravel. I also have my bug out bag in the car in case...I have this feeling also. I am waiting for something to happen ..and And earthquake is one of my fears.. Not that I am afraid of an EQ per say.. I am from CA.. LA I have been in many EQ big ones.. but this is a "DIFFERENT" feel or fear.. In CA you expect them . Not here in Mid MO.. it is also not just a quake.. it is a life changing event I am waiting for.....

Weird, I had a dream 3 nights ago that I was in a city and gunfire was breaking out. Someone came up to me, close range, and shot me in the right side and right leg, at close range. I knew it was going to happen, too, but couldn't wake up. I experienced the sensation of pressure, but no distinct pain. I crawled across a street, feeling and knowing I was bleeding to death, but was trying to help someone on the side, though I don't know how I could have done that, since I couldn't walk.

I was terrified when I woke up and wasn't thinking of this type of thing, nor do I have dreams like that, getting murdered, I mean. The closest thing to it was I dreamt I drowned in the Pacific Ocean a couple of years ago and had the sensation and pain of drowning, but had the most unbelievable feeling afterward, in the dream. Dying in your dream is weird, about all there is to it
My husband has had the shooting dreams, too, which is just odd for both of us.

You are not alone, so many are doing this, even people who don't consider themselves to be "preppers". The feeling I get is like a strong foreboding, for no good reason. Started feeling it in 08, peaked in 2010, been feeling it again since February or so of this year.

It's almost like what animals must feel or sense before big quakes or other natural disasters, before they run for the hills.

Approximately 1/2 hour ago, he said that he felt a fairly strong series of vibrations and claims that a big one is coming somewhere. I checked on globalincidentmap.com, and saw nothing, but he is adamant about his claim.

Do you have a timeline or prediction to when its supposed to happen, or does it happen withing days or weeks of when he gets his vibrations. In any case we shall see I suppose! If some big quake does happen anywhere across the globe anytime soon, someone will know, after all it will be news.

The day before yesterday I had a dream that I was shot in the back five times and survived and I remember feeling pressure but no pain as well. Then when the guy who shot me (an actor but can't place him right now) realized he didn't kill me, he tried to poison me with something in my wine glass. This dream disturbed me like crazy but I blew it off. Then today for no reason I bought a couple of gallons of water and have been thinking about nothing but getting organized. I'm super obsessed with being organized for some reason right now. I don't know what this all means as far as the OP's hubby's hiney prediction, but it seemed relevant somehow.

I am back after a couple of hours of sleep and dreams as allways(acording to my dream and in the spirit of ATS, we will be invaded by some werewolf like beeings
)

My opinion about this thread is the same, even more after reading and seeing how it has unfolded since my earlier visit.

But, i do have some points about this "feeling things" discussed here.

I do believe that we can feel some things created from nature or our solarsystem like electro magnetic fields and such and also that animals have those senses, but when it comes to feeling earthquakes or impending doom in advance, i am off, and find it kind of ridiculous

My believe when it comes to animals reaction to earthquakes is not feeling it via some hidden sense, they are feeling it with their hearing and to some degree through the ground, but this is in short advance of the events, not days or hours before.

If any such sense was posible by humans or animals, it should have been proven long time ago.

Okay, given the fact that (A) I'm also in Texas (Austin), and (B) I too have had quake dreams, and (C) I don't believe in coincidence, I guess I'm honor-bound to share as well. I just never remember dreams, y'see. They slip from me even before I awaken. Usually. But several times over the past six months or so, I've woken up to find a fleeting fragmented image hanging in my head... the USGS webpage with the text list of recent quakes. Every quake that's at least a 6.0 is bold-red on it. The fading webpage I see when I wake up isn't always the same, but most of it is always red. I can never read the time or date for some reason, only location and magnitude. The magnitudes of those dozens of quakes are all between 8.0 and, yes, 11.0. A lot of the time, the location name is just meaningless, like it's been encoded; places like "Jack's Hobgoblin Nobble" don't exist, I imagine. It's like I'm not meant to know where they are. And any time I can recognize the place name, it's always either "Oaxaca" or "Guerrero," in southern Mexico. Acapulco area. Mexico City, too. Imagine what a 10.0 would do there... so like everyone else, I've always ignored it, mostly (though I have posted about this "prediction" once before). What good was that info without any kind of timeframe? How could you get Mexico City evacuated in time to prevent a million casualties if you don't know when it'll happen? Nobody would believe you even if you could say exactly when it would occur. But if they'd been forewarned, they'd probably react a lot faster when they felt the shaking begin. Maybe faster enough to make a difference.

Anyway, just thought I'd share that piece of the puzzle. It's got a lot of pieces...

Thanks, timetothink. I wonder what your dog was trying to tell you? Maybe he was trying to hypnotize you into buying him bacon flavored treats. It is interesting, there have been quite a few other posters indicating their dogs are acting strangely today. People can be deluded and fooled by things, but not animals.

Has he stopped staring at you yet?

Very interesting thread. I haven't felt anything out of the ordinary at all but I can't help but wonder about what I've heard that each person has his/her own distinct vibration. Could it be that your husband's vibration somehow resonates in a similar or perhaps very dissident way to the vibrations coming from wherever it was or may be? Like notes on a piano that are played at the same time - the vibration is definitely felt! It would seem logical that the earthquake area would send out some sort of vibration from the mounting pressure and it is a dissident vibration to his, else how would he feel it? Seems he would have to have his very own vibration to gauge it by. Anyone else think this is a viable explanation?

Some people have abilities and there is no explanation for them. They don't try to gain them, they just have them and who knows why. But first thing I'm going to do tomorrow is look at the earthquake map!

Fair enough. You articulated your beliefs clearly and I respect that you came back and said how you felt.

It's like anything else that can't be proven, such as ESP. Even people who are psychics who work for police departments don't always get it right, and it is nothing that can be proven in a laboratory setting.

And like I have been saying throughout this whole thread, I do hope he's wrong.

I know there are people on here that are so sick of the feeling of waiting for the S to hit the F that they would welcome some kind of disaster just to get it over with, and sometimes I feel that way too, but I can also imagine if something catastrophic did happen, how we would all pine for the good ol' days when all we had to do was argue on the computer and play games on facebook.

Again, I respect your opinion on this and I appreciate you articulating it in a straight-forward manner.

I really am very hesitant to post this, I will prolly delete it after I type it out.

I had a dream the next big quake is on May 23rd... In the dream it wasn't May 23rd tho... It was 523, 523, 523. I'm assuming that's May 23rd.

It didn't directly affect me tho, the dream was just watching the devastation on the news. When I woke up all I could think of was 523.

Take it or leave it.

That's very interesting. Perhaps "523" meant the time, and not the date...?
