This is sort of unrelated, but the night before last I had a dream about a quake in Houston. In my dream I read a thread posted about a small quake in Houston (2.6) and then someone listing the history of the last one known in the area - 1960. I looked it up and it's actually 1995 closest to Houston. I can't say I have ever dreamt of an earth quake before. Thought this was interesting since you are in Texas too.

A few days before HAARP was used against Japan, the BBC posted an article about a Super Moon, saying that this might cause earthquakes. The BBC did this again a few days ago, so I feel that you're right and HAARP is about to be used to create a mega earthquake/tsunami

Well, it probably will pan out to be nothing, but in putting this thread out there, and reading all the replies, I have learned some interesting things about ATS.

1. People's animals act strangely, which is a known warning sign
2. People have been dreaming about strong earthquakes of late
3. Lots of people get weird physical symptoms before an event
4. The ratio of kind, supportive people to meanies is approximately 30 to 1. This gives me hope for mankind!

I hope your dogs are acting weird for a totally benign reason, Des!

Uh you know, it's strange you post this. I was driving to my mom's today, completely normal stuff, and I was struck by just how damn busy it was. Why would that bother me? Because it's normally never busy at that time of the day. It wasn't just on the road either. I've seen more helicopters from the local military base too. I saw 6 in the space of a hour. I've never seen as many in the sky as i've seen today. Three just buzzed over the house.

I walked in the house about a hour ago after letting Duke in and I just had this crazy thought: Is there going to be an earthquake? And the crazy thing was I hadn't logged onto ATS and looked at this at all. I just thought it. I've been thinking about it for a few months off and on. Actually started buying gallons of water. Sometimes I wake up at night and think "What do I do if there is an earthquake?". It's the strangest damn thing. I don't know why it started. I don't generally read the doom threads and I don't get flustered easily.

This is all a bunch of woo woo yammering from me, but I kinda needed to get that out. Maybe your husband and I are on the same wavelength or something.

It's not strange. My teeth start to hurt (and I get an uneasy feeling), and I feel the same things he does when an earth quake is coming.

A simple, but obvious question to your statement...are your teeth hurting?

I hope he is accurate,.
I look forward to seeing the results

In that case I hope you get the epicenter!
Just kidding. I don't wish bad things on anybody.

Be careful what you wish for though.

Thanks, Wrabbit. I can always count on you to be fair and objective.

And no, it never hurts to think about these things, because it is never a question of IF, but WHEN.

I did put out that I sincerely hoped it was nothing, and I still want it to be nothing. Who wants to hear about a massive earthquake with death, destruction and chaos? Worse yet, who wants to hear about it right in our home country??

I'm willing to play the fool on ATS in order to put out a warning about a potential event. Hopefully we'll all wake up tomorrow and the world will be just as it was when we went to sleep.

Interesting. I wonder if this is the reason there has been no quake yet.

How did this thread take off? I live in Texas and I fell small trimmers in my chair all the time. I have felt them before and after the japan quake.

My fat cocker spaniel is driving me nuts.....

he keeps sitting near me staring at me, 10 to 20 minutes at a time...

I wish I knew what he was trying to say....and then knock it off.

Great thread...always enjoy your posts.

Thanks for chiming in on this, Ficticious. You dream is one of many that people have reported. Plenty of places in Texas can have earthquakes, just not that often. We've had quite a few just off the caprock in the little town of Snyder, about 175 miles away. There was one down towards El Paso not that long ago. Plenty of shakers in the DFW area too. Lots of people from Texas posting on this thread too, which is kinda cool.

I had forgotten about supermoon predictions, and also about HAARP. I'm not sure what phase the supermoon has to be in, in order to cause a disturbance on earth, but since it is waning and moving away, hopefully it won't do anything.

HAARP, on the other hand, is a disturbing thought because it is an unnatural event controlled by some psychopaths!

I was gonna keep this to myself, but just 4 days ago I had a dream, that there was a huge shaking of new york city, all windows and I mean all windows was blown out, most structures where still standing but there were millions of tons of glass every where. Weird.
Whatever its is thats coming, it's gonna be "HUGE" this is for sure, as its not the 1st dream I've had of new yorks destruction. 2012 is gonna be a real pip, as my uncle use to say.

Where are you located at, Antonia?

You know, sometimes thoughts just pop into our heads and then they happen. When they are happy thoughts (what if I get a big check in the mail today, what if an old friend calls to chat, what if so-and-so calls and asks me out) and they happen, it's great.

When bad things happen (earthquakes, car accidents, the death of a loved one), those are much harder to take. I often have thoughts which occur right before something happens. The first time that happened to me, I was all of 9 years old, riding in the family car and sticking my head out the window to enjoy the breeze (we didn't have AC in our car back then). I suddenly had a thought that popped into my head that said, "You'd better close your eyes because a rock is going to hit you". Two seconds later a car passed and it's tire threw a pebble up and it nailed me right in the eye. If I hadn't have closed my eyes, I may have lost my eye, instead of just getting a black eye.

It always pays to listen to your inner voice, even it if isn't always 100% correct. Better safe than sorry!

Oh, Lordy, I hope not! My daughter and her husband were just transferred to an Army base in upstate New York. I know it's a long way away from New York City, but too close for comfort as far as this mother is concerned.

I'm in Tennessee.

I don't know about listening to all my inner thoughts. Some of them are pretty stupid, but this earthquake bit is a wee bit strange.

I can relate to prepping, like you mentioned with buying up water. Want to know something crazy I did yesterday morning when I woke up. I had taken a 14 lb turkey out of the deep freeze the night before, and when I got up yesterday morning, I baked a complete cornbread stuffed turkey, and used up all the squash, and carrots in the fridge in a huge casserole. Baked bread, was trying to use up all the perishable goods in the fridge in various dishes.

It was that same feeling that the Women on this thread can relate to, the nesting instinct when we are pregnant. Something was driving me to prepare a lot of food. That I wouldn't be able to cook for awhile, was the feeling I had.

Yeppers...it's just me and the animals....but, I can feed a lot of neighbors If I have to. Just kick on the generator to keep things chilled.

Also went to the feed store today and stocked up on hay and feed. Just really felt like I need to be ready...for what, I haven't a clue. ....
