America will be ok. We have all the natural resources we need to live decent unlike most of the world and we have moderate weather unlike most of the world. Basically if the world collapses we would definately have to change our lifestyles but our economic demise will hurt large parts of the rest of humanity than it will the average American just becasue we live on an earth sweet spot if nothing else.

Also I meant to add in there, please don't judge the entire western world based on what the media shows, what televisions tells us or what someone with a grudge try to portray us as. That is not who the majority of Americans are. Most of us don't want to be a super power, we just don't want to be controlled by anyone else. I don't want my country to be in places it shouldn't be or be trying to control anyone else, just as I don't wish that for me and mine.

As someone who's had both the privilege and shame of being an American, I'd like to go on record and say that at least 2/3 of the people in this country are effin' morons who have lost all connections with the roots of the nation. Nearly 40% of the annual budget goes to defense, and only 4% goes to education. That is appalling. But that's also exactly what the power structure wants; stupid people who don't question authority and couldn't understand the answers if they did.

...You read the title correctly, I'm so sick of hearing people from the West stating that the decline and fall of America/Europe has been engineered by pro-globalist agents in order to usher in a one world order. ...

a NWO might be a final outcome... but the vulture capita;ists on both sides of the North Atlantic financial hegemon are thinking of Themselves only... not a NWO/ world government

the sociopaths disguise themselves as globalists--- but are self-oriented to the core on benefitting only themselves

YES this is EXACTLY what I was referring to, these elitists are nothing more than interested in their own fat wallets. They are just like politicians always thinking of themselves and will stab you in the back at any given chance.

If all westerners are deluded why even waste an ounce of your energy talking about us? Everyone hates America but it's the first place everyone wants to move to. I love America and would rather kill myself then live in any other country. It's not our fault that a lot of you guys live in 3rd world countries and your leaders are all corrupt. Worry about your own f***** up country and stop worry about us.

I think you meant to say conspiracy theory. Otherwise that sentence is contradictory and nonsensical. There is absolutely proof of a long-standing plan, by a global group of influential entities, to bring about a global government and economic base. A quick Google of the terms "PNAC", "AEI", and "Bilderberg Group" might help you see the picture a little more clearly. The conspiracy is real (see definition of the word conspiracy). The details of what is to come is the part that's a theory.

Okay I will give it to you, some things like the Bilderbergs probably do have some scheme of a world order in which they rule. But there are still many faults with the nwo, like for example, how come not one of the hundreds of thousands of files released from wikileaks had any reference to the nwo?
Now you could quite simply say well they too are just pawns, but for what purpose?

Ok, mr. reading-comprehension-avoids-me: I'm not talking about Australia, I was making the point that the OP was an Aussie. Odd, I don't see any religious fanatics in the US blowing people up or killing little girls for going to school.

My point, and I'll type slow so you can understand it, is that the US is tired of babysitting 3d world countries. We are more than overjoyed to leave them to their own fate. Not sure how that makes me defensive.

But I guess you just want to hate on someone, and I'm used to it. I'm American. Everyone hates us.

Well, we hate you back for not managing to make it out of the 7th, 8th, and 9th centuries. Build a Lowe's and buy a proper toilet for crying out loud.

Hey that's ok my friend. That's what we do here, we give our opinions as well as our assumptions. Some people take them one way, and others another. When we speak our minds we are putting ourselves out there for harsh retort from opposing viewpoints. It's the name of the game, and I do respect you for speaking your mind. Course, You had to have known the heat you were gonna get with such a thread title.

Oh and uh, I agree with you. The Third Reich was an economic powerhouse, and It was Hitler's policies that made it so. No, far from praising Hitler. That's just stating a historical fact. ~$heopleNation

Oh wells its always fun stirring the pot one in a while.

I love it when people have their own opinions and stick to them, I find too often on threads that a person will start out rigorously in his/her opinion than after copping flak for it by the general ATS community they somehow submit and fall into line. Of which I hate, I enjoy talking to people with differring views, but when someone resorts to calling me inappropriate jargon or says things about my country you are no longer having a discussion.
The Third Reich as evil as it was, no one can deny the sheer brilliance of Hitlers policies on economics, he turned Germany around in record time. Now if only America could utilise Hitlers policies on economics.

Um it has been mixed around a bit, but I would say it the general rise of the East or BRICS, and how that correlates with the nwo and also how SOME westerners feel that their collapse could trigger a nwo.

What is happening is what is known as the 'business cycle'. There is no agenda to do this, no government or secret society planning a nations downfall, it is the very nature of capitalism itself.

The 'business cycle' is the fluctuation of the economy over periods of time. The reason these fluctuations are becoming so noticeable is because of the globalization of the capitalist economy. It's not about nations anymore the economy is global, the only thing that matters in capitalist investments is the profit, the country invested in is irrelevant.

That means every country has to compete with the lowest global bid. That means countries that have enjoyed a high standard of living in the past, will now be forced to drop to the level of the lowest bidder in order to stay competitive. That means the Wests working class will be forced to accept lower wages, they will have to accept a lower standard of living.

This is why the push for globalization in the first place. We used to have to compete with people in our own town for jobs, then it became the rest of the country, now we have to compete globally. Western nations simply cannot compete with nations like China. The whole cold war, "communism", and all the BS was not about politics at all, it was about economy, and the capitalists agenda to have a global economy in order to exploit workers for more profit.

Now once the workers of one nation become too expensive to hire, there will always be an impoverished nation ready to exploit. Why do you think we have such a hard-on for N.Korea? Because the government really cares about the welfare of it's people? No, capitalists simply want to exploit all that cheap labour. The west will become the third world, we are on the downside of the business cycle, the east is on the upside. All because of the capitalists victory in creating a global economy through military, and other methods.

It doesn't have anything to do with how "civil" you write things, as I am a very nice person to most people. It's only when people like Jean Paul come on here and make a mockery of me without explaining his views on it that makes me impatient to deal with.

That is until the East raises its own standard of living, and workers begin demanding higher wages. Then eventually it will shift back to the West?

Yes, eventually. For investors to start investing in the west again the west will have to be competitive with eastern nations, and I don't know any workers right now willing to take lower wages. It will just be less jobs for a long time. It is a slow process to go from the top to the bottom. It may stagnate for years, not moving anywhere.

Chinese workers are already unionizing and demanding better pay. But even better pay for them is not going to make the west suddenly a better deal. The difference between their pay scales and ours is huge.

This is what will probably lead to global government. The workers will be forced world wide to demand a more level playing field in order to protect their own interests. This will create global institutions to manage interests on both sides.

It quite possibly could be the motivator for global governance, but I have spoken to a few people and most seem to think that the world is in a process of de-globalization, companies aren't looking to invest overseas, people are focussing on their communities first, and countries overall (especially developing nations) insist on their right of sovereignty. Who knows what the future will be like, things are moving so quickly these days its hard to predict whether we are replaying the fall of the Roman Empire or Germany in 1939?

Good luck to the east in overtaking us because we don't go into depression forever, we just go to war. If you think power is easy to give up you're crazy, we will fight everyone to stay on top. This I believe as we all know history repeats itself. We go to war with countries just for oil, don't think America won't go to war for just about anything else. This situation and stuff is all crazy, but I fear all this will end in war. Can't we all just get along???
