SOHO down. "Emergency Sun Reacquisition" mode. Lost the Sun. Seismos down as well

This is the 27th time SOHO has gone into Emergency Sun Reacquisition mode, and the fourth time due to a false trigger of the Coarse Sun Pointing Attitude Anomaly Detector. It's not that unusual, especially for an aging craft.

SDO and the STEREO craft are still online, if you're interested in looking at the sun.

I would say patterns are forming with these types of issues.

Just to point out this guy discovered it and was ripped off by ADG, and others. Its still on the front page of youtube under science and technology

I'm wondering if this is an exercise of some sort in case of a solar event...

Or if they are prepping for a known solar event that is about to occur?

Shutting down that many critical monitoring systems all at once is a little more than a statistical anomaly, so it seems like something is happening.

I agree with Puterman that the run-of-the-mill excuses don't seem to make much sense.

There has to be a reason, even if we aren't privy to it.

Kudos to those who are able to take images of the sun.

We all know that NASA will NEVER tell us anything, let alone the government, so instead of trying to get an answer from TPTB why not try to find those answers ourselves with the help of technology.

We already have two amateur sun lovers in this thread and with the help of others with the same passion we could start putting the pieces of the puzzle together.

We have a better chance in coming with a reasonable answer by uniting our wisdom, skills and passion for the unknown than to always ask the same question "What are they hiding?"

I have an idea that might or might not Have merit. Our solar system is passing through the galactic plane. although our galaxy looks like a pinwheel it is actually shaped by ripples emanating from the galactic center . Yep just like a rock in a pond. The other day a post was commenting on an anomilus reversal of the magnetosphere, could that reversal and the loss of navagational control of soho and other satelites be a result of our proxcimity to the focal point of the galatic gravitational ripple apex?

That is very interesting, but what is it? is it real? CGI

You would think though, that the temperature of the sun would pretty much melt anything near it...

If it is real then it should not take too long to find out the truth

But the fact that both stereo satellites are sending data proves there is no "cover-up".

Just found out that the Real-time magnetosphere simulation is down too, or rather, terminated. Go to the NICT site and see. What's going on with all this data being down now?

But are they sending real data or just data that has been looped to give the impression that they are running as normal, kind of like mission impossible..

If it is a full on cover up then there is no way that they too would be running?

It does actually seem really bright out though, really a lot of glare... not normally this much glare..

HAARP Magnetometer is also down since 10 hours ago.
