Here's the problem: most people get their information from MSM and, for whatever reason, the MSM has decided that Ron Paul is a non-candidate unworthy of coverage.

As the primaries continued, and the MSM continued to not even include Ron Paul's numbers, less and less people "bothered" to vote for him thinking it was a waste.

Now, Romney is the guy whether anyone agrees or not.

The real conundrum follows:
If Paul runs as an Independant, it all but ensures Obama is the winner. Romney and Paul will split the vote (most likely Tea Party vs. Moderate Republicans) and leave Obama enough to win. (think: 15% Paul, 35% Romney, 50% Obama as an example).

The bottom line:
I am, at all costs, voting against Obama and even though Paul is my choice, I know he doesn't have a shot of winning. Too many Republicans will vote for the Republican nominee period. I hope Paul drops out completely simply because my biggest fear is another four years of growing government, increased deficits, bailouts for all, and even longer unemployment benefit extensions, etc.

He still won't win.

.

Regardless of what happens I'll continue to support Ron Paul .

My personal sense of morality will not allow me to support the other Sell Out War Mongers !

It is the only choice I can make .

Supporting anyone else is selling out my personal beliefs .

I will support the cause of Liberty .

Ron Paul will soon have 5 states won outright.

Then he'll go to the convention where anything could happen...

BUT I HOPE Romney doesn't get the 1144 he needs before that... or that RP makes him go to the convention to get the actual headcount for delegates to each candidate.

Please explain to me how the title is misleading?

Paul did WIN Minnesota this weekend; what does 20 out of 24 delegates mean to you? To me it means a landslide win.

I will concede that the title could read "Ron Paul wins the delegate race in MN"; but overall it is not mis-leading. The straw polls back in Feb. mean NOTHING; these delegates are elected (by thier peers) via a very concise (and followed) process. They are NON- BINDING and WILL be at the National Convention in Tampa and WILL cast thier vote for Dr. Paul. It is all a part of the plan.

MN is not the only state this happening in; check out Colorado and Iowa.

This strategy has been planned for years and is working; beat'em at their own game. Play by the rules and win....

Do you hear that rumble in the distance? Watch out... the train is coming.....

One of the things I appreciate about Ron Paul's candidacy is it exposes how entirely fraudulent the entire election media reality show is.

Here's thee headlines from 3 major news networks, including Fox, when Santorum was declared the 'winner' in Minnesota in February:

Santorum shakes up GOP race with three-for-three finish

www.foxnews.com...

Santorum jolts GOP presidential race with 3-state sweep

www.cnn.com...

Rick Santorum Sweeps: Stops Mitt Romney in Minnesota, Missouri, Colorado

abcnews.go.com...

Now, how come none of those media outlets have run the very same headlines today but with Paul's name in the place of Santorums?

My suspicious for a while now has been that all the 'tea party' candidates (and even much of the FreedomWorks 'tea party' co-opted movement) has been an intentional distraction away from Paul.

Santorum, Bachman, Newt, Perry, Cain...all distractions meant to pull voters unhappy with Romney away from Paul and give the media and excuse to ignore Paul.

He didn't "win".

He came in second to someone that isn't even running anymore.

I guess coming in second is the same as winning to Ron Paul.

It should be against the rules to post a misleading title.. oh.. wait..

This coming from the guy that brought us "The World Of Hogwarts Is Real"?

Be honest here...the only reason you came into this thread was to bash RP and his supporters.

You are either completely uneducated to the way this process works and how it's actually going down, or you very well know you're wrong and only come here to further the anti-Paul agenda.

Haters-gonna-Hate

I came to the thread because I like make believe. This thread is full of it.

Wisecrack out of the way, I came to the thread because I was interested in seeing if this was actually true. Ron Paul didn't actually win Minnesota. He came in second to a guy that is no longer even running.

Wow... I will now disengage conversation with you. It appears that you have no sense or knowledge of how the election system works at all.

Good day to you and goodbye.

Yeah move along.

Rick Santorum got 44.9%
Ron Paul got 27.1%

Santorum got 17 delegates.
Ron Paul got 10 delegates.

No matter how you spin this, Ron Paul came in second to a guy that is no longer even running.

Again, no. Santorum was 'declared' the winner by the MSM based on non-binding votes that meant nothing. The ACTUAL vote came last night, where 2o of the 24 delegates who were chosen by the state of Minnesota to represent them in Florida are Ron Paul supporters. It's convoluted, but not that tough to grasp if you pay attention.

Any questions?

No questions at all.

You seem to be perfectly happy with the will of the people being subjugated by the will of a small group. Ron Paul did not 'win' Minnesota. He was declared the winner in a meeting.

There is a pretty big difference here.

Wow, you really have no clue at all.

What part of Ron Paul won the delegates do you not understand? Hence he WON Minnesota, period.

I made a decision this past December to get off the couch and make a difference; quit complaining. So I did; and I am going to make a difference. Along with the other thousands, tens of thousands, and millions of people who are sick and tired of being told what to do by our government. It is here and it is coming......

Like I said before.

I UNDERSTAND THAT PAUL WAS AWARDED 20 of 24 DELEGATES.

What you don't seem to be grasping is the idea that someone can come in second and still win the state. Then again, the GOP like to win even when they lose, just like in 2000.
