The fact that the UN 'peacekeepers' have to go to the ends of the earth to pursue and eliminate these 'enemies' displays to me that the average American citizen living on the home soil is in no way threatened by men in Afghani mountains who have RPGs and AK47s. A roadside bomb can only injure you if you're on their road. Their road, not ours.

They could wrap em in bacon, urinate on em and set em ablaze in the town square and it wouldn't matter, they committed suicide to kill innocent people. They showed no respect towards their own body their Allah gave them.

I take it you would rather they be here bombing the crap out of YOUR kids, then, before you would lift a finger to urge them to apply restraint to their bombings, and just bomb someone else?

You would prefer to wait for them to burn down YOUR house before you would do anything to stop them from burning your neighbor's house?

I wouldn't. If that makes me selfish and inhuman, I'll wear the name tag proudly. I value my friends, family, and neighbors as highly as I value myself, and I'll go to bat for them just as quick or quicker than I will for only myself.

Yep another thread bashing and saying how evil American soldiers are nothing new here really it was a popular past time during Vietnman.

The simple fact it was inhuman to fly 3 planes in to 3 building on 9-11 it is inhuman to behead, burn Amercian bodies and hang them in the street of Fallujah or drag them through the streets as Americans watch it live on the tele in Somolia.

That isn't the sole purpose, despite what Sean Hannity might have told you. They are torqued-off that we continue to keep what they see as an occupying force in their country. I'm sure you could understand Americans doing the same thing if the Chinese were here to "liberate" us from Obama.... and then stayed here for a decade, and controlled us with their military rule, and the government set up by them.
I mourn every American soldier who is killed. But you need to understand the real reasons behind the attacks.

It should be no surprise that our troops lack discipline, focus and humanity when our purpose for being in Afghanistan seems to reflect that. Can the troops really be expected to rise above the bitter reality of the situation?

It's waaaay past time for this pointless war to end. We could be there another ten or twenty years and the only thing we would have to show for it is loss of lives and treasure.

Additionally, I think that over ten years of pointless war has given rise to a warrior class, fueled by the MIC and its subcontractors, that has lost it's honor and purpose. Generally speaking, the public have long forgotten about them plus the impetus of the war is dubious at best. Both factors act to leave these troops psychologically abandoned in the war zone. Nothing good can come of that.

S'ok. That doesn't count as "desecration of bodies" to most of these folks.

Do you suppose it's OK because it's "foreigners" to the area being beheaded, or because they're not dead yet when the "desecration" takes place, but death only is a result of it?

The lack of focus and definition of goals is the fault of the politicians. They keep moving the goal posts from "retaliation" to such esoterics as "nation building", or even worse, "freeing the Afghans". Politicians are trying to act the part of generals, and even the real generals seem to be unaware of what to do when war happens.

ANY "general" who falls into the "nation building" trap is only angling for a political career later. He gives up his ever-lovin' military mind as soon as he starts playing political games like that.

For them bashing those soldiers doesn't matter what those suicide bombers do just American soldiers.

Its ridiculous we are suppose to "show respect" for human life they haven't in the last decade or the past 500 years.

I would say the real "inhuman conduct" is displayed in the results of the suicide bombers' work! The soldiers are only releasing feelings that have built up over some time, and besides, the corpses wouldn't feel a thing anyway! It's just too bad the soldiers didn't get their hands on those scum while they were still alive!

These assholes don't care who they kill, they even murder their own at a rate that makes the killings of Christians, Jews, and even soldiers - combined - statistically insignificant.

As I stated previously, the Taliban can not be negotiated with no matter what the circumstances, or what we have given or built for them. If we build a school, they just burn it down or murder the children that attend it. They have given up their right to breathe as far as I'm concerned.

And we have been over there killing them for all those reasons for almost a decade. I am personally sick of it myself. No Taliban here. Bring my friends and money home. Who is saying they deserve medals?

Our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines ARE the best the world has ever seen, both morally and effectively. We have been in AFG for ten years, and only a very few incidents of this type have been reported. I would say that we're doing pretty damn good on the moral front.
