Hi Iason. I'm definitely not here to fight you I too agree whole-heartedly with apushforenlightenments sentiments. But I must ask, or maybe rather state, if the god has a master plan, keeping in mind that his presence has been felt far and wide, from australia, to hawaii to -insert anywhere-, how does jesus fit in? Hand in hand with jesus fitting in, how does the bible fit with that? you see as important as jesus may be, to buddhists and hindus, etc there are persons who are just as important.... could these highly spirited people be no more than that? People, humans, who are more spirited, devotional, logical and moral of their time... knowing simply what is right for the greater masses to move forward. remember that not all who 'think' they are great get worshipped. so it's not like Kermit the frog could just say 'hey, ummm, you guys better be good to each other, and praise me to get to heaven' all the while porking Miss Piggy and stealing from the collection box. people dont stand for that type of behaviour, if you deserve to be venerated you will be

What other extraordinary claims has John Lear made that you also believe? I don't know if what the media tells us is what happened or not. All I know is that my cousin, who is a pilot, told me that it would have been easy for them. She explained to me why this was, but me not being a pilot I don't remember the details. I will ask her again when I get a chance. If it wasn't the passenger jet being guided by amateur pilots, what do you think it was that hit the buildings? A missile camouflaged by a hologram of a jet?

p.s. I'm still interested in angels having sex with humans. Explain how they had hybrid babies and not regular human babies. Explain how an angel, who is genderless, became a man with a fully formed penis and testicles so that when he was aroused he would ejaculate semen, not just that, but semen that is compatible with human women eggs. I mean, can a gorilla have sex with a woman and produce a hybrid baby? How do you get a hybrid baby by having natural sex? Sounds more like genetic manipulation to me, and if that is the case, no sex is required. Also explain why there aren't angels who became women instead of men so that they could mate with each other. You have the holy spirit, not me, so please explain these things to me.

Trust me, I've looked into those things. It is very interesting. But, how likely is it that there are humanoid beings from some other planet that have managed to find other humanoid beings on some other planet hundreds of light years away, knowing how vast space is? We haven't even explored our own planet in its entirety, much more outer space.

So, again, what is the likelihood that beings on some other planet, after millions of years of evolution, have evolved into humanoids similar to us, then left their planet hundreds of light years away and ended up finding us, then genetically engineered us to be their slaves? Next, where are they? In another dimension? What does that mean and how do you know?

Pft. OP has a weak arguement. There are hundreds of biblical archeaologists working on proving the truth of the Holy Bible, proof that rarely sees the light of day coming out of Israel because the secular world has already made up their minds and refuses to see the truth. Archeaology proves the OT/Torah and the events in the prophets scriptures that came to pass.

Actually they do agree, the difference is Luke gives the lineage of Mary while Matthew gives the lineage of Joseph, but ofcourse you wouldn't know that or have researched that, but just say your opinions for fact. According to jewish rites of adoption for that period, when a male child was born without a father, the child could be adopted into the family of the adopted father which would make him as a blood relative and he would then be classified as a son of Jacob...Joseph's father. So in effect Jesus is of the line of David but without the curse of Jeconiah on him.

How about we reveal the bloodline of Jesus alongside that family tree?

Our version of events was changed when Peter got jealous of Mary Magdelene and stole the church from her, then changed the story to almost completely exclude her.

Then Constantine came along, and decided to rewrite history according to his own understanding. Additionally, a dozen other books didn't make the cut, which means that you're only reading half of the Bible.

Now, why would those books be taken out? Could it be they contradicted the story? Could it be they tell us something we're not supposed to know?

There is a reason the word "believe" is used. It's based on faith. Fact does not equate with faith. You keep talking about fact, about knowing...faith does not include knowledge. Faith is trust without reason.

Non-biblical sources for Christ's existence

People talking about Jesus as far back as the first century and there are over 70 accounts. If a picture taken by a camera or DNA evidence is what is needed to prove the existence to you that a person ever existed, well then you are a fool. People believe Julius Caesar is real, and nobody questions that, people believe that Richard the Lionheart existed, nobody disputes that, people believe that Herodotus, Plato, Socrates, Pythagoras existed and no one disputes that. Yet here you are disputing Yeshua. There is no dispute and you have no arguement. The Holy Bible makes mention of Pontius Pilate, who for years the secular world claimed never existed and then in 1967 archeaological evidence was uncovered that proved...the bible was right he did exist and in Caesarea.

So, even Cornelius Tacitus knew of him.




Also, the Talmud makes reference to him being nailed to a tree for blasphemy (saying he was Yahweh). So when jews and christians cannot agree on his messiahship, they both agree he was indeed crucified.

Your problem is, you want to ignore the archeaological evidence and written historical accounts from men of that very period. In fact, continue to not believe , keep telling yourself that...because there will come a day when you will beg the mountains to fall on you to hide you from his face.

Point is, you can pick trivial issues to prove within the Bible, but that doesn't validate the entire thing!

I am not a witch, although I have friends who are witches. In fact, I feel a little insulted on their behalf by your use of the word as a derogatory term.

Is this supposed to refute all of my arguments? I am stating, quite simply, that you have no proof that events transpired exactly as the Bible said they did (with exception to certain cities being damaged, which could have been anything) and you continue to act as though proof that "oh, this piece of land looks just like the Bible said it would The whole thing must be true!"

What if it is both. Doing symbiotic egoless things to just be nice to each other is makes you become egoless so you have it easier to being saved. And when you become very egoless and humble do you not have it easier to accept help and knowledge from something to make it better. When the mind/ego goes more silent some unconcious part of you or something else might be able to guide you your mind. Without obvious proof to others of course since the Hide and Seek rule still apply. The unready must be able to sleep/dream and evolve at their slower pace.
