I think you are mixing Aztec and Mayan beliefs together. This is typical of many New Age authors.

There has never been a global flood. The geological record is clear on that.

Global Corporatism is promoting planet killing and human life exploiting legislation.
We should be getting better at this life on Earth thing considering how much technology has advanced but we are not. There are sinister forces working against us, to keep us in the dark and enslaved....rather than big camps and overtly, it will be everyone, just a little and no way for an uprising.

You can spot the hero since he will devise solutions that are both human and earth friendly and he will replace what is taken at the same rate and not wait until later to do it. The hero will support the middle class and the poor. He will support the Laborer and the Worker on whose backs rest the fate of this country.

It amazes me that people put such faith in "Mayan" predictions about the future, when they couldn't even maintain their own civilization, as anything more than a remnant of disheveled souls that barely eek out a human existence. Wouldn't you think that if they were so prescient, that they would have been able to prevent their own downfall.
Really now, this entire "prediction" just holds no water.

Well, sir, I guess that depends on YOUR perspective. For starters, I wouldn't call the Maya, who are deeply spiritual people, "disheveled souls". They probably have more soul that you or I every could.

Second... Let's see.... work and slave every day of my life, chasing after materialistic things that do nothing for my soul or spirit, making no meaningful memories of my life because I'm too busy trying to PAY for everything to have an existence that isn't "eeking by", for money that isn't worth the paper it is printed on compared to the years of my life, and my blood, sweat and tears...

OR....

Grow my own food, live off of nature, have the essentials I need to live, delve into my spirituality and have plenty of free time to do anything I want....

Decisions, decisions....

I think it is a very good possibility that this December 21, 2012, nothing out of the ordinary will happen. That, in and of itself, will be extraordinary. If anything is go9ing to happen , hit will be, in my mind's eye, a change in attitudes, and such, for a great many people.

On the other hand, there's not a reason under the Sun to not be prepared for a big bottoms up.

There are two things to think about.

1. Dec 21, 2012, the Earth, and all civilization, as we know it, will come to a screeching halt.

2. Dec 22, 2012... We continue celebrating the Centennial of the invention of Oreo Cream filled Cookies... With cold milk, no less.

I feel disconnected from the world today .. not life
but the society capitalism corrupted system we live in today
that having a iphone is more important then just having a good free soul
and making sure it stay that way .. untainted

It is my primary goal . to have a healthy uncorrupted soul

As far as civilization goes: spirituality (not necessarily religion) should have remained one of our top priorities but we strayed from that path ages ago. I didn't realize how hollow of an existence I had until taking up meditation, brainwave entrainment, and sought changing my mindset. I too use to jeer at people attempting to spread a way of higher understanding until I felt it myself.

PS to the poster above me, nowhere was it stated in the OP that the "world is going to end". You didn't even read anything in this thread I'm guessing. Please refrain from derogatory comments, especially when they reveal your ignorance.

That is not true. Don Alejandro was a friend of my father and a friend to our tribe. He's been talking about 2012 since I was a child in the 70's, at least to the elders in my tribe. I know that John Fire Lame Deer, spoke with him about this as well, and it's always been known to us that 2012 was NOT something to fear. I've been going to various 2012 threads on ATS talking about this for some time myself. But Don Alejandro is credible, and his father and grandfather taught him the knowledge that he has. It's generational and very ancient. We should feel lucky that this truth is being shared, because it blows all the crazy people who want doom this year, straight out of the water.

I met with Don Alejandro in 2000 on a trip to Guatemala. He's extremely wise and I do trust him.

Thank you for this. I've seen people trying so hard to discredit this information. Maybe it's not popular because it's not DOOM.

If anyone has an interest in the Maya, they should travel there. It's a once in a lifetime experience. I learned so much.

I heard the Mayans are having fiestas all this year. If that's true, that kind of sets the tone for how they feel about 2012.

I never paid much attention to the Mayan prophecies,or any "date-setting" type predictions.

That being said,I still pay attention to what things are converging or what may relate to this or that. So,my curiosity was aroused just recently to learn there is a 2012 prophecy in the Zohar that talks about the Messiah the Jews are waiting for!

That takes it up another notch,in my opinion.

Passing this on because maybe it's news to some of you here also and it might be worthwhile to look into and compare.

I haven't researched it yet to be able to share more.
