For adding some text to articulate the premise being espoused. There are some here on ATS that are either blind, or deaf, or both, and being able to read interesting things such as these, or being able to hear it when you cannot see by audio is ideal, and one of the reasons why the internet is finally synthesizing into a medium of sound, text, and video, that is widely available as a format in which anyone can now seamlessly integrate knowledge, without the need to struggle with the mechanisms in which that knowledge is distributed. Especially with subjects such as this which are hard to come by without such as tool as the web.

Anyway. Had to be said.

About to go through all of this right now but I honestly see no reason why this cant be true, I assume this is about using the human mind to heal yourself? I don't know if there is a real name for this, if there is my doctor never told me it, but I've got a problem with the opposite.

For example, someone I speak to recently got diagnosed with epilepsy. The constant thought of epilepsy in my mind convinced me I had it, and I started having weird experiences I could only actuate to micro-seizures. Though nothing was wrong, and it went away.

Same thing happened with kidney stones, I was convinced I had a kidney stone years ago. I had to urinate but I couldn't, I had all the symptoms(Like pain etc) went to the hospital, they did all the crap they usually do. Come back and told me it was nothing, the feeling of urination went away, the pain in my abdominal went away, when I had to urinate next time I could.

I could honestly go on for an hour with stories like this. It all comes down to my brain though, and thought. I see no reason the opposite couldn't be true.

Go collect some numbers on how many deaths are caused by the radiation and chemotherapy. The message is simple: if you want and believe you can heal you increase your chances of doing so. If you don't want to heal and don't believe your body has the ability then you are decreasing your chances, even if you are using the chemo. You've never seen somebody build their own reality around a lie they've forced them self to believe?

Potentially the most dangerous advice one could follow. All doctors know how to do is feed you drugs and cut you open, and these things have a decent chance to fail on you, making you worse than you were before. Your body doesn't mind having grey eyes, becky, it minds being sick. There might be a little bit of a difference there.

There are two ways to see this.

The one that like to live through pain and would rather give them self's and there life to other people no mater what they say. This type are to scared to take there own illness and say that is't there responsibility to help them self's.
To chicken to think that they can heal them self's.

The other way is the one's that take responsibility of there illness, and preform miracles on them self's, and let there body's heal them self's. That group of people show great courage in thinking that there is another way.

Just look at how it works close minded people end up in boxes and open minded people get up and live to walk another day.

To questions one reality is to first say I know nothing and if I think I know something then I really know nothing at all.

Self healing happens every day if you believe otherwise then so be it, you will learn in your next life.

Still watching now. Just hit the 50 minute mark. Most are facts, some things they are saying are not true though.
Its still pretty good; would like to see some more scientific experiments on the basis of these things they are saying
about thoughts healing yourself. The experiments would have to be long term. Very long term.

Again, not a big fan of this type of stuff but you have to keep a open mind.

My girlfriend is an OB doctor and she is currently attending a gynecological cancer related course. I'll try to get her to see this documentary but she is not so open minded as I am, she laughs when I mention B17 vitamin or DCA for instance, I even had an argument with her the other day... sad. If I were her I would talk to the family and ask them for permission to tell the patient that the treatment prescribed would have 100% efficacy, would that be unethical in your view?

Great find. I truly believe in mind over matter, so this kind of reaffirms my beliefs with expert insights. You are what you think people!

Great debate right here let's not all rush out an buy trillion dollar tickets to Dr S Nakeoil seminar and book signing event teaching you how to heal other peoples disease by waving ones hands.

I'm not tsamping on people here after all the Placebo effect is very real, I'm just very cautious about soi called healers especially those that spew out tears and need to heal in installments.
