I came in here late and haven't read all of the replies... but I see nothing wrong with this. I think you should be able to spend your money however you want. I know you wouldn't want people telling you how to spend your money. I'm also sure that you regularly spend money on things you don't need. Nobody NEEDS a pack of chewing gum, for example. Nobody NEEDS a name brand hat.

The only thing I'm vomiting over is your hypocrisy.

BlahBlahBlah tell me something I don't know. What am I supposed to do kill her?
You can't change the federal government without the masses caring about it, so yeah, it's not complaining. It's making educational threads on the character of the people that lobby our government.

I'm active in my local community and local government which isn't totalitarianistic
Try harder

How about figuring out what inverted totalitarianism is before shooting it down. It means that corporations determine governmental policy. Traditional totalitarianism is when the government controls the economy (Soviet). Still think I'm wrong? Watch The World According to Monsanto, and read Death of the Liberal Class by Chris Hedges and War is a Force that Gives Us Meaning, also by Chris Hedges (you can also find videos of him talking about those books on 'tube), and then tell me that my argument has no basis. Do not attack the symptom. Attack the problem:Corporate control. Short of making lobbyists illegal altogether (which still would not fix the fact that 99% of the Senate and your Congress are bought and paid for), I don't see how you complaining about someone's choice of wrapping paper accomplishes anything. If anything, it shows how worthless the USD is

Again, that's pretty much her job description. I don't see why you're surprised about this. Am I missing something? Lobbyists are cancer that destroys good politics.
Is this news to anybody in the world?
